I am not sure that every class gets a quest the coming expansion. After the initial deathknights, hero cards were distributed also unevenly.

    Quote from Batmanna >>

Nope, not really, in the end you run few chose both effects in the best performing lists, being starfall, malfurion DK and the jade idol itself. It will not help vs aggro and your lategame is already very very strong if you keep the correct cards at the end. My 2 cents. That and Big Dumb Priest usually decimate jade druid.

The new quest reward and Malfurion the Pestilent have kind of an anti synergy, since both overwrite the other's hero power. Maybe you can have both, but it looks to me that Ossirian Tear will replace the hero power.

@topic: And usually you do not want to shuffle a lot of jade idols in your deck until it is nearly empty or the jade golems are already big. Mainly you want to ramp and card draw. I don't think the new quest is a really good fit for jade druid (but I might be wrong).

posted a message on New Neutral Card - Questing Explorer

This will be a staple in any quest decks since it nullifies the -1 card due to the quest. Sure, you don't get it always on curve, but even in later turns it is a cheap cantrip.

posted a message on New Druid Legendary Quest Card - Untapped Potential

All choose one cards are really good cards when the quest is done. Maybe not Ancient of Lore and Crystal Power (how does that work anyway, is it heal for 3? I gotta test it with Fandral Staghelm when I can), but even Tending Tauren or even Mark of Nature are good value.

    we have:

    Nourish

    Starfall

    Mark of the Loa

    Mark of Nature

    Power of the Wild

    Wrath

    Crystal Power

    Cenarius

    Ancient of Lore

    Ancient of War

    Tending Tauren

    Druid of the Claw

    Keeper of the Grove

    Druid of the Scythe

I just don't know how easy it will be to get the quest done without falling behind too far. In a control meta this shouldn't be an issue, but in an aggro meta I do not think it is possible to play many of the worse choose one cards since you will be busy with keeping up the tempo, trying not to waste any mana crystals and then many of the choose one cards are not playable.

posted a message on New Legendary Card - High Inquisitor Whitemane

On the one hand, Kel'Thuzad did never see play before Wild and Standard were introduced. And even in wild it was only sometimes included in BIG Priest but nowhere else. High Inquisitor Whitemane does the same, but is not even an ongoing threat. Admitted, it is 1 mana cheaper, but it is very situational and a 7 mana 6/8 do nothing did never make the cut (it's bad to play it without its effect giving you value).

On the other hand, Bonemare (for 7 mana) also needed a board and was nerfed since it was too strong and in every deck. Maybe Withemane can also use the synergy with Cairne Bloodhoof. But then again, Bonemare did not need your minion to die, but was just a 10/10 for 7 (5/5 of it with charge) as soon as you had a board.

I don't think this will be played in a competetive deck. I voted bad.

posted a message on New Priest Card - Plague of Death

I can see that card being played. If you make it to turn 9 against aggro, they are likely out of steam anyway. And against control, you could mind control whatever big minion they play on their turn afterwards. Question is whether you can afford playing that many expensive cards which are dead for at least 8 turns...

    Quote from serotoninronin >>

Okay listen. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS INTERACTION DOES NOT WORK. WHAT I AM ASKING IS WHAT WOULD HAVE TO BE CHANGED TO MAKE IT WORK.

Here is another card that has existed in HS:

    Unearthed Raptor

This is simply a targeted Undatakah effect EXCEPT that it says "gain a COPY of" instead of just "gain." It is still a battlecry, and it also does not transform the Raptor into another minion. What I am saying is that there is a non-keyworded and unexplained difference between "gain" and "gain a copy of" in these two cases, and with respect to deathrattle effects. It seems to me like a distinction without a difference.

If you understand the interaction, then you shouldn't repeatly state how it not works. Then people will stop explaining the correct interaction to you.

Yes, sometimes the wording in Hearthstone makes a distinction without a difference in mechanic. And sometimes they use the same wording and make a distinction nonetheless. In hearthstone, you can never be 100% sure that a card works a certain way before you did not test it on the board. It bugged me too, but I got used to it.

posted a message on Venomizer card, I cannot seem to find it and I wanted to craft it.

I can only think of two things: either you didn't click on the button "craft" or you already have one venomizer and need to click on the card to craft the second. It should be available.

I know it won't. Listen to what I'm saying. I'm offering a hypothetical. If the text of Da Undatakah read "Copy the deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game" instead of what it actually says "gain...," then would it go infinite with Recurring Villain? It's not complicated: I think things change a lot if you replace the word "gain" in the text of Da Undatakah with the word "copy." Am I wrong?

Yes, you are wrong. Da undatakah would not have any deathrattles when resummoned, since he only gets deathrattles due to his triggering battlecry (as people have told you repeatedly). That is how it works in HS.

Edit: the difference to faceless is that faceless *is* the new minion and is handled as the respective card from thereon. But the card da undatakah is still the same and has no default deathrattle when resummoned.

Send the details to a mod and he will add him to the blacklist (which you hopefully read before trading).

Edit: he is already listed with his battletag pyro. Always check the blacklist.

posted a message on 0-3 why?

I only watched the first game, and right at the start I would've attacked the Harvest Golem instead of going face. Then you can trade with his 4/4 Tinkertown Technician . Letting his tinkertown live did kind of snowball the game for him. I don't know if the result would've been something else but he couldn't have gotten  that much value out of his tinkertown. And the 2 damage to face did not matter at all.

But sometimes it simply happens to get a couple of losses.

posted a message on Question regarding Azalina Soulthief as Boss.

You need to go ahead quick and always kill her minions to keep the board clear. AoE is also helpful to swing the game. And keep your minions preferably small. But it majorly depends on your deck and passive powers whether you have a chance. Darius Crowley is easier. Houndmaster Shaw as well if you took the +2 health passive and your dogs can trade three times. But I also had great value decks and simply lost because she got ahead and I couldn't swing the board back. Sometimes she is just a counter to your deck...

posted a message on Game of Thrones is disappointing

I didn't watch it yet, but I also do not have any issues with being spoilered. So I watched the brief review of Filmento. I think he explains well what technically went wrong without ranting. I probably will still watch it, but my expectations are low. Which actually might make it better for me...

posted a message on Loatheb against forbidden spells?
    Quote from WUBRGWUBRG >>

You first choose a legal target according to your current available mana, the spell starts to resolve, after the target is chosen, you pay the cost of the card (upper right corner) but no additional cost yet (written in the textbox). Just afterwards you do everything written on the card possible. The card only checks for any restricting conditions while choosing a target, not upon resolution. So you empty your mana, and destroy the target - which was legal while checking for viability.

If the game could peek into the future, it would be able to see that you would not have enough mana upon resolution of the spell, but neither does it check for this condition, nor does it care about it after the initial targeting.

We know why hearthstone is carrying out the spell wrongly. And we think the wrong application of the effect should be changed. The game should check what you call "into the future" because of the wording of Forbidden Words . The effect states: "Spend all your mana. Destroy a minion with that much attack or less". Thus, it is clearly intended to kill minions with an attack value equal or less to the spent mana. And the spent mana is 5 less due to Loatheb 's effect. Therefore, I don't think the present interaction is intended since the card does not do what it says.

I am fine with other interactions which kills non legal targets (like the above mentioned Spellbender and Shadow Word: Death because the initial target is a legal one. Here the target should not be legal from the beginning. It is surely not hard to fix (checking the mana that will be emptied) since a fix would only affect the card itself. And there are more cards than just loatheb that lose their value like Doomed Apprentice Rebuke or Nerubian Unraveler .

posted a message on Loatheb against forbidden spells?

It is not right compared to the other forbidden cards. They all carry out their effect after paying the mana costs. I.e. Forbidden Shaping will summon a 5 mana minion when you are at 10 mana and the opponent played Loatheb . Forbidden Flame will only deal 10 damage.

However, the issue with Forbidden Words is that you need to target a minion before the mana costs are payed and you can target a minion according to your mana. Only then the costs are paid and the effect is carried out (the rest of the mana is emptied and the targeted minion is killed).

This is clearly a wrong interaction, although mechanically consistent. But in my opinion they should change it.
