posted a message on Handlock without giants?

Could Handlock work with one molten and one mountain giant (supposed you have also twilight drakes)? Yes, it could. Is it equally good? No, it isn't. You will simply draw less often into these cards.

Well, having just seen this thread I'm not overly excited about having crafted Mal'Ganis this morning. Seems like he hardly gets a mention.

I never play Warlock but drafted Jaraxxus a while ago and so decided to save up for Mal'Ganis and then create a Demon based deck. Hopefully I can build a deck containing both of them later.

Sure you can. Demonlock (just as the first example I found) is a fun deck and zoo also uses MalGanis. I guess noone mentioned Warlock because OP said he doesn't play warlock. Druid is also not really mentioned four times but not emphasized enough ;), although I really like Cenarius, but I also really like playing druid so I am kind of biased...

    Quote from withche07 jump

If you be patient it is not hard to get gold and packs.

Of course not. But why do you play computer games? It should be fun. I don't think playing with the basic cards is really enjoyable over 3 month and even after 3 month your deck still sucks. With future expansions it will be worse. It might take you 6 month then. Again, it is about fun. Why should i invest so much of my freetime in a game  just for the prospect of some fun in the future?

I don't know why someone should play a game that he thinks is not funny. But if it is just about the lack of cards, there is a solution to get many of the cards immediately: Buying packs with real money.

Of course, if someone does not want to spend money or time, it get's difficult. But then again, this game is probably not the right one for you.

I very much like the proposal of Redemption. This Card works pretty well with scarlet crusader, silvermoon Guardian and sunwalker (and to an extent also with annoy-o-tron, although it does hurt the least when annoy-o-tron is revived).

€: However, I still think that Naxxramas is not available for OP. So my recommendation is to save the gold for at least naxx (in the fourth wing you get mad scientist)

posted a message on Some help needed to improve deck

The cards I consider not good enough in this deck are Hand of Protection, Divine Favor, Micro Machine, Scarlet Purifier. Divine Favour might stay in the deck, since your curve is pretty low and you will probably be able draw one or two cards with it. However, I think this card is too unreliable since if you fight against aggro, they will not have big Hand bigger than yours, since you also have some cantrips (azure drake and hammer of wrath).

However, from your list I guess you neither have naxx nor BRM. If you have them, I'd replace These cards by 2 Sludge Belcher, one Solemn Vigil and one Muster for Battle. And I'd cut Argent Protector for Zombie Chow.

Since you probably lack the Adventures, replacements for the former four cards could be another Piloted ShredderMuster for Battle, Quartermaster and maybe another 5- or 6-drop like Piloted Sky Golem or a second Azure Drake (for card draw). Boulderfist Ogre is also still a decent minion, if you do not have other heavy 6 Drops. Anyway, I think a muster for battle is a good choice for your deck. It gives you 3 minions that have synergy with sword of justice (if it has 3 charges left, it's a nice combo) and you have a good chance that one of the dudes sticks on the board to be blessed by the kings on turn 4.

Blood Knight can be a pretty big minion in your deck, but it comes with the disadvantage that it steals your own divine shields and is susceptible to silence and possibly to BGH (which you also do not have in your list but is also very valuable card to craft). I like blood Knight more if I can steal other people divine shields. As to Coghammer, I don't have it and, thus, do not know how good it is.

posted a message on Is Nozdormu a counter to Patron

Problem for the warrior will be that while the animations of the Little bearded rats are carried out he shouldn't be able to order attacks. Likely the 15 sec will be over after dropping warsong commander and grim Patron, attacking with death's bite and casting one whirlwind. And there was no frozing in this calculation. The biggest problem is how to play nozdormu before they pull off their combo.

Really interesting deck. I will probably replace one card by Troggzor the Earthinator (maybe a swipe or so). Finally he's op too :) (used him in a mage deck and he did his job well).

I have a Shielded Minibot. They hit the Healbot with a fireball and trade the healbot on the shielded minibots' divine shield. Hence, another 2 healbots are put as copies into their hands no matter what I do because guess what, herp derp there is no other minion on the board for me to kill to force a copy of something else.

    (...)

The problem with your story is simply that a mage cannot activate his secrets on his turn. I.e. if he pings his healbot and suicides it into your minibot or kills his healbot with a fireball, the secret would and could not trigger. "Secrets can only be activated on the opposing player's turn, preventing them from being intentionally triggered by the controlling player. "

Assuming that he actually got double healbot from the secret, there is only one possibility: The healbot has been killed on your turn. Whoever killed the healbot, I do of course not know, but it was on your turn.

posted a message on Control Hunter - Deck Help

I do not have much knowledge about control hunter, but belchers sound fine since you then have some sticky taunts. Azure drake seems also good because you lack card draw anyway. Maybe instead of drake, you could go with a cult master to get more value out of unleash or snake trap.

posted a message on Having trouble with aggro low on the ladder, new deck or fight through it?

In the Druid deck I would replace the Shade of Naxxramas with Druid of the Flame . Reason is that the shade is less sticky if used soon after placing it and against tempo mage it often gets sniped with Flamecannon . Druid of the flame has a lot of health and played with innervate on turn 1, it takes a lot of pressure away from the first 3 turns in aggro matchups. And maybe cut one Force of nature and put in a Kezan Mystic . Mirror image (the secret) is quite a problem if you only have big minions in hand and hunters (in particular face hunters) often can't cope very good with stolen secrets.

posted a message on Is there a perfect counter to this deck? (Warlock)

one easy way to beat him could be a warlock deck that includes Sacrificial Pact and can last till late game (maybe kind of demon lock?). As soon as he plays Jaraxxus you win.

Edit: Another solution might be midrange hunter (doesn't lose steam as quick as face hunter).

posted a message on Do i need Druid epics?

I guess you also don't have keepers of the grove or nourish and just adapted the deck correspondingly (nothing to do with poor;) is just that everyone starts from scrap and if you don't spend a lot of money, it simply takes plenty of time to get a proper card collection). I personally could not get Naturalize to work properly. I mean, it killed the enemy minions just fine, but the disadvantage always was too big. And grove tender is also not a great minion since it provides the opponent with the same resource and just has okay stats for the price.

Nevertheless, I would suggest including KelThuzad (maybe for naturalize, grove tender, harvest Golem or claw). If he can resurrect one of the bigger minions, he already had good value. And KT behind an ironbark protector or a sunwalker is very difficult to get rid of without proper removal (sludge belcher also works very nice, since you get one additional taunt slime every time the beldger dies) . Emperor would also be worth a thought, but since you don't use the FoN/SR-combo, he might not be that important.

Anyway, your deck should work fine. I also think the replacement of sludge belcher by sunwalker makes sense, since you reduce the 5-mana drops and get a 6-mana minion (which you otherwise wouldn't have).

posted a message on Do i need Druid epics?

Ancient of Lore is one of if not the best card in Druid decks. Solid Body + flexible use of card draw or heal. So this card will improve almost any Druid deck. If I had to replace them, I would think Nourish could do the job as well, because the card draw is generally more important than the heal. Other card draw mechanics could be Cult master (although Druid often lacks small and disposable bodies), Azure Drake (fits good in Druid decks), Gnomish Inventor (Budget solution for Azure Drakes) or maybe acolyte of pain (together with the druid buffs you can mostly draw more than one card). But if you have AoL, you will feel the improvement of your Druid decks.

Force of Nature is also a very good combo card, in particular for finishing. However, FoN is not as necessary as AoL and I often win without drawing it (when I am winning ;)).

My proposal as a kind of budget Druid deck without Druid epics but including the most important naxx cards and Druid of the flame from BRM (sorry, I am not familiar with the deck tools on hearthpwn):

    2x:

(20 Druid cards) innervate, wild growth, wrath, druid of the flame, swipe, keeper of the grove, nourish, druid of the claw, ironbark protector, starfire

(8 neutral cards): swamp ooze, piloted shredder, azure drake, sludge belcher,

    1x:

    (neutral cards): Loatheb, boulderfist ogre

If you have complete naxxramas, I would replace Boulderfist Ogre with Kel Thuzad. Druid of the Flame could be replaced by shade of naxxramas (although my shades got usually sniped away so I put druid of the flame in) or harvest golem.

posted a message on To Arena? or Not To Arena? That is my question...

I did it the following way: I set myself a limit of 150 or 200 gold and played until I had collected that money. Then I bought a pack (if my limit was 150) or played an arena (if my limit was 200). In that way I always proceeded in 50 gold steps to 700 which is the amount of gold for one wing (at least in naxxramas). Unfortunately it takes longer to get the money for the wing, but the upside is that you are able to open a pack once in a while (which I really need from time to time) and eventually you still get the wing. So in your case I would allow myself to by a pack when I get 575 gold or do an arena with 625...
