Most girls would have a "female tag" in their name very often i've found such as "girlXXXX" or "XXXXfemale" where XXXX is gamer, cat, badger ect. Since often i've found girls identify themselves as just girls whereas many men identify themselves as just themselves and doesn't need to put a gender etiquette on themselves or their name. I often see just names as "the cat girl" or "the girly hardcore gamer" but rarly names as "the cat boy", "the cat dude", whereas men in my experince often just call themselves "the cat" or "the harcore gamer" in those cases. They are themselves and people in of themselves and then the fact that they happend to have a penis doesn't define them or their behavior in any way. But my view might be biased based on the sites i've been on when it comes to heartstone.
What a load of BS. Girls identify as girls and men just as themselves? What you're saying is essentially that women have no identity beyound the fact that they are female. Remember, you are on the internet and have no idea og knowing whether 'girlxxx' and so forth is in fact a girl or someone posing to be one. Similarly, you have no way of knowing whether "the cat" or "the hadcore gamer" is a boy or a girl. Plus, you're forgetting the fact that many women prefer to keep their gender secret because sexism, so beautifully illustrated by your comment, is prevalent, and they don't want their gaming experience ruined by sexist people who address them as 'girls' rather tham human beings or fellow gamers. Girls and women are just as much themselves and people in themselves as men are, and the fact that they happen to have a vagina doesn't define them or their behavior in any way.
For f2p it is possible. For those that mill every card that's not in standard i think it is not. And that's a good thing, because since the beginning the hardest rewards of adventures have been for those with wild cards, adventures is where wild cards are supposed to be played for those who keep them.
I only have standard cards and I managed just fine :)
In 130 packs, I got 8 legendaries - 5 Death Knights (Uther, Valeera, Anduin, Jaina, Gul'dan), Golden Hadronox, Rotface, and Professor Prutricide. I got almost everything I wanted, so I'm happy :)
In many of the previous reveal streams, there have been 8 themed decks, 1 for each class, with 1 class excluded, so that 4 matches can happen. I'm expecting that Hunter will be excluded since we have already seen their Hero card. They might even show us all of the remaining 8 Hero cards, wouldn't that be awesome? I would be shocked if we didn't see at least half of them, unless Blizzard is planning on another reveal stream, but I doubt it.
They had three different Un'Goro reveal streams - I am fairly certain there will be at least one more reveal stream (maybe next friday?), and therefore we probably won't see all the new Hero cards - I'm hoping for three.
Well, it depends what you mean with 'worth it'. Karazhan will rotate out in a year or so, so that will mean a whole year of playing where you won't have access to the cards from Karazhan - unlike other cards, adventure cards cannot be crafted.
I started playing almost a year ago, and I bought the two adventures available at that time, Blackrock Mountain and League of Explorers (both have rotated out now), and I don't regret it at all. A year (well, 10 months really) is a long time to not have access to cards everyone else seems to have access to. Not having those cards also kept me from playing a lot of decks I wanted to try. So I bought them with real money - packs (both Classic and Expansion) I bought with gold, slowly but steadily growing my collection. Also, fighting the adventure bosses was a lot of fun for me, new to the game as I was.
Long story short: I was in the same position as you a year ago, I bought the adventure and I would do it again despite the fact that the cards rotated out :)
Board control is everything against Pirate Warrior. Mulligan for one-drops (voidwalker obvs, but Flame Imp is good as well to help you get early board presence) and buffs, make clever trades and don't discard too much early in the game. You'll take a lot of damage, but eventually, your opponent will be out of resources, and if you've kept the board, you can now begin to push face damage. But keep his board clear at all times! I very rarely loose to Pirate Warrior with this deck (I've just beat three in a row.)
If you want to use Tiny Knight, don't cut a Voidwalker or an Imp Gang Boss, too much value is lost - Voidwalker is essential in matchups against Pirate Warrior, and Imp Gang Boss is great with the buffs, especially Crystalweaver (buffs the tiny imps as well). Cut a Darkshire Librarian if you must - I personally prefer the extra carddraw.

All you need is a couple of coins from Burgly Bully and maybe a secret to do the combo in one turn with Auctionmaster Beardo.
Beardo -> Hero power -> coin -> Hero power -> coin -> Hero power -> coin or secret -> Hero power -> win

I've noticed it too! I think it might be to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Mammoth - a new year's celebration of sorts.
