i just hope they return option to changing cardbacks during the match. you could change your card back every turn . just to show off or just to pick the one you were in the mood during the match :D

Your oponent actually didn't see any changes you made to your card back if I'm not mistaken. They only saw the card back you started the game with. Only you saw the change immediately. They saw it in the next game (if you played against them again).

posted a message on Weekend Wacky Wild Decks

And once again people are complaining about the name of the article even though "Weekend Wacky Wild Decks" has been used for the Wild version of "Deck Spotlight" for literally 5 months now (first one: http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/1509-weekend-wacky-wild-decks ).

Are they all new users or something?

    I have all of them.

I had to ask a guy in my university to install HS and buy Khadgar for me on his iPhone though because all of my family and friends use Android. And it had to be iOS, so even emulated OSX through VirtualBox wasn't an option (and you can't emulate iOS). That was the most annoying one to get, at least for me.

It would be cool to allow us to show our highest rank of all time, not just the current one.

I really want to use other cardbacks than Legend, but it's the only way to show your "achievement" right now.

I have 5/3 Sylvanas Windrunner and 1/1 Silver Hand Recruit on board.
My oponent has 3/1 Auchenai Soulpriest and 1/3 Northshire Cleric on the board.

He is at 17 health. It's my turn 10.

... I have Equality and Forbidden Healing in my hand.

It would be fun, if it started off as the normal board and got slowly corrupted over the course of a game.

But then aggro decks would never see the corrupted versions, ever :-)

posted a message on Opening (not keeping) GvG packs after WotOG

The cards are not banished from the game, but the packs are banished from the shop. That's why I'm asking, maybe some Blizzard employee will be like "oh, they can't buy GvG packs anymore, let's turn this procedure that generates GvG cards from packs off since it's no longer needed" :-)

posted a message on Opening (not keeping) GvG packs after WotOG

    Hello guys,

some people came with the idea of buying 1 GvG pack and never opening it as a memento for when it's rotated out of the shop.

Ben Brode actually said that it's fine to hoard GvG packs (source: https://twitter.com/bdbrode/status/711256361770745856 )

But he's tallking about keeping them, not opening them.

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy, let's say, 61 packs now and open 60 of them after WotOG launches? Alongside of other WotOG packs, in a one big opening session :-)

I'm asking because that's what I'd like to do, but I don't want to crash my client after WotOG launches (maybe servers won't be able to generate GvG cards from packs anymore, I don't know).

posted a message on Tavern Brawl: Deal Your Fate, Old Card Backs Returning, Build Your Own Deck Brawls, Watch the Hearthstone Winter Championships

I don't understand why so many people like random brawls.

Yes, it is true that constructed brawls are somewhat unfair to players with small collection. Yes, it is true that after some time (especially at higher-win "league") a lot of people starts to netdeck.

But in my opinion it's still lesser evil than having absolutely no control over what's in your deck. It's like saying "hey, I don't care, just give me something I can vomit on the field". You can't even plan anything. You don't know what's in your deck or what's in your opponent's deck. You literally just throw whatever the game gives to you on the battlefield and hope for the best, without any win-condition or synergies. How can anyone enjoy this random-fest?

It's why I don't like Unstable Portal. It's the same principle - "here, have 2 mana and give me something, I don't care what". But in case of Portal, it's understandable since it has some good Mage synergies and the chance of something useful is better then something bad.

I've never played random brawl more than a few times (most of them just for the pack). On the other hand, some of the constructed brawls were so much fun for me I achieved the 30 wins per day gold limit in them.

Can someone explain to me why is it so appealing to play with random cards without any plan? I know people enjoy different things, that's why I'm asking. I just don't see it. No hate, please.

    posted a message on UNFAIR..

I crafted normal one and later even golden one and you don't see me crying.

I also crafted golden Loatheb, Sludge Belcher, Mad Scientist, Haunted Creeper, Nerubian Egg, Death's Bite, Voidcaller, Webspinner and about a dozen of other cards that will be banned from Standard.

Yeah, it sucks, but at least I can play them in Wild and some Tavern Brawl.

... Therefore, on average, we would draw the Map 10 turns (or draws) later...

...On average, it would take us 8 turns (cards) from now on, to draw it....

    ...Average chances of getting Elise...

...On average, we'll draw Elise as the 15th and a half card...

This is NOT how statistic works, my friend. There is no "average". The chances you draw a certain card is EXACTLY THE SAME for turn 1, turn x, or - as you said - turn x/2 (from the same point in time, of course).
You had a 20 cards. You draw 10. You have 10 more. Do you think that chances that you draw the map now is higher than the possibility of the map being the last one in your deck? FALSE. The chances are the same.

Yes, there can be a situation where the map is shuffled into position #15 and then into #23 - as you said. But it can also be #30 into #15 and it can help you. Or it can be #15 into #30. You don't know and in the end, the chances are the same.
So it doesn't matter if your deck is not getting reshuffled, is getting reshuffled after certain effects or is getting reshuffled every turn. Mathematically speaking, it has zero effect on the probability of you drawing the map.

Millhouse Manastorm is actually pretty good here because most people play only minions and get the spells for free anyway.

Also, Summoning Stone works wonders since the zero cost spells trigger the stone for their full mana price.
