Amazing to watch the succes of Blizzard in convincing people to believe the game is interactive. Amazing  to watch fakenews converted into the real thing. Amazing to watch people debasing themselves just for an uninteractive mindless winfix. Amazing amazing then when their mindless agressive playstyle or OTK is considered to be interactive and full of skill.

The succes of devs = the 'mindlessification' of the masses. Good for you.

You know nothing if you really think Blizzard is "mind-controlling" people. For example, most aggro players have considered their beloved playstyle interactive and full of skill since the release of the game, this is nothing new. At least inform yourself a little before posting...

     You just proved my point.

    WTF? How?

"For example, most aggro players have considered their beloved playstyle interactive and full of skill since the release"

The very fact that aggro players consider their playstyle interactve and full of skill proves how Blizzard is able to let them think just that. Only those who have been freed from 'The Matrix' of the Aggro world see that. Remember this guy?

That's a pretty naive assumption to make.
If you somehow don't think that aggro decks require knowledge of the game and good decision-making skills to pilot with consistent success... well, then that's your own misunderstanding at work, really.

     Really...?

For me there are two low skill playtypes.  Some say brainless types ... This does not mean they are not enjoyable for a good number of players..

One is aggro where you should know your mulligan but otherwise throw all down/face hoping to kill around T5.

The the other type are decks that have like 20 card draw pieces , 3-5 OTK combo pieces and 5-7 boardclears ... Skillless draw your combo as fast as possible. Only skill is to know when to clear the board.

As long as a well played midrange/value based deck beats those decks reliable i am fine with that. Otherwise the game degenerates.

The point is those decks just have a well constructed hard time (by devs) to do just that.

posted a message on Is aggro really that hated?

Its dominance in ranked meta and overall overrepresentation through expansions is the problem. Deliberate put in place poor balance, poor counter facilities for other play styles, is part of card design politics.

Marketing wise it is chosen to let aggro dominate through card design: low skill, one dimensional decision making, absent strategy. Part of the chosen average 'pace of the game', ranked meta is tuned to be aggressive. At the cost of outwitting, outmaneuvering, outclassing, outskill your opponent.

Aggro is part of the ' fast paced game' approach, therefore by definition must dominate/overrepresented in ranked game. But also aggressive midrange (Hunter) is part of that approach. Even OTK-decks can be seen as such. Aggression just takes a little more time: rush approach.

Rush approach vs let me outthink you. That is the bottom line. The card design choice rush over think makes the other side of the aisle 'hate' aggressive decks. The problem therefore is not a certain play style, but current group of developers.

There seem to be a relation between playing aggressive and content of character in real life. And that relationship is not laudable. But maybe I've watched too much Startrek. The game is set to follow the Klingon way as I rather prefer the Picard-approach.

posted a message on Why is people so much more likley to be toxic in higher ranks.

So emoting is there to get you off track and hope so to win a game. There seem to be a relation between spamming emotes and playing aggro. Simplistic strategy, easy decisions, overall mindlessness means more time left to use the repulsive emote system.

There also seem to be a relationship between content of character in real live  and playing aggro. And that relationship is not laudable.

So decktracker seem to have introduced auto-squelch. Maybe you want to use that (see GitHub)

Assholes are everywhere, not only on the internet and I really wonder how do you deal with them in real life, where things really matter.

I don’t really have any a holes in real life sorry to disappoint you.

You don't have to deal with any asshole in real life (which means you are a very lucky person) and do you dare to complain about people emoting in a video game? You have to be kidding... What's next, guys? Complaining about not being able to eat the best pizza in the world, while an insane amount of kids out there are starving? :(

Actually -- and I'm not surprised that you were unaware of this -- people who are not assholes in real life tend to be treated with more kindness and consideration, so they really do have to deal with fewer assholes. It's not luck.

    That's not how life works.

Only for assholes live doesn't work like that

This is the first time a non HS product is interfering with a Blizzard policy (to keep up the emotes). The very fact that auto squelch is coming from outside Blizzard tells the story. How many packs Blizzard sold extra for refusing an auto squelch is unknown, but certainly not to be discarded as a revenue factor.

The injustice and repulsiveness of forcing people to squelch every time vs. the vulgar 'joy' of the fanboy to emote out of 'fun'  has been a thorn in the eye since beta. Now vulgar appaling behavior is done (it seems).

Of course Blizzard makes its money by debasing people, taking way their self-respect through mindlessness. The lack of self-respect and poor development of ethical skills makes the fanboy a remarkable subhuman. A humanoid if you will. Disgusting creatures.

Making money by making people assholes is nauseating. I welcome the stop to the harnessing of lowest urges of human behavior calling it 'fun'

    Is this satire?
    I really hope it's satire.

     No it's not.

I see the aggro crowd, Blizzards target audience, made a thread for themselves. You just have to accept longer games is just wallpaper for your mindlessness to shine. That is the unspoken agreement between your kind and the devs. It has made HS great, like Trump making America great again. So why you worry?

The only difference is that HS isn't great any more....
Ooooh he went there.... heh heh heh! :-D

     Great means more Trump then.

Blizzard is a horrible company run by heartless money leeches, but Hearthstone is still better than anything else out there.

This. But the worst thing of all is the fanboy-playerbase, defending bandwagon-style  with pseudeo-intellectual flare anything card design. This audience keeps the game a money leeching business. Unfortunaltely albeit as a nice and well conceived game is skill- raped by their own creators.
