5 -1. lost a game vs mecathun warlock - hard counter to this deck id say along with other mecathun ... even with a few misplays beaten secret hunter, odd rogue - feels good.
It’s a decent control deck after 2 games only... I’m 2-0 and won v odd pally at rank 5 before doing the combo. Will keep playing it for now tho the games are a bit long. Need to combo warpath with acolytes however an empty hand was never the problem as I was holding onto essential endgame cards.
I think HoF should not be permanent. I think Blizz said this? Would be good to see some of those cards back just to mix things up. Treat the HoF as a sin bin/ temporary ban for standard
I see the merit of putting all charge and card draw there (from the classic/basic set) for a year or two...
Yeah if they do this it would probably be through a legendary that at the start of the game grants you the alternative hero power. It might be a road too far to make it a UI upgrade and available at deck creation. I think it would be best to have a hero power that is balanced and not an 'upgrade' as such. The side-effect of being a card is that it can only interact with either Baku or Genn.
Yeah the Pally divine shield one is too strong - A +2 'thorns' attack buff, in effect during your opponents turn, might be interesting, more balanced and still within the Paladin hero style.
It would be good to see this trialed for a brawl wouldn't it?
Unlike the current route of a hero card or (sir Finley - wild) thinking it would be a good improvement to have at the point of creating a deck a choice of hero power for instance like the following
druid : regenerate - heal self by 2
hunter : stun (freeze a minion)
mage frozen armour - gain 2 armour
paladin : give a minion divine shield
priest : shadow word : 1 tick per turn minion health debuff
rogue : evasion give a minion evasion (50% chance to dodge) for one turn
Shaman : Fire shock ping random enemy for two
Warlock : summon a 1/1 imp
warrior : equip a 2 / 1 weapon
I’m sure the hearthpwn community would have better ideas but the main point I wanted to raise for discussion was the whole concept of this mechanic which is a choice between 2 hero powers during deck creation...
I see comments saying it is ‘normally one per 40’ but this is wrong. It is as a minimum one in 40. In my experience over last 2 years (not counting the 1 in the first 10 packs or the free legendaries) i have an average of 1 per 17 packs - 1642 packs opened - 7 goldens from packs
i think it is fair to expect an average of one per 20 packs over the long term. Anything over 30 is unlucky I reckon.
Greetings Hearthpwners and Odd Pally enthusiasts..
After being owned by Cauldrons vs another Odd Pally I have added Witch's Cauldron to my Odd Pally decks and so far have not regretted it. Fit them into your deck some how. Check this example out

Yes it would be interesting. There was a thread about the same idea a few weeks ago

I am going to try it for sure. Great deck submission

yep i was thinking of something as a different approach but fitting with the class for each - a power that would also support a different play style.
Maybe for pally give a minion a 1/1 buff or give it taunt. I personally like the warrior one which would suit a more aggressive deck.

I am not a highly qualified player - lacking the time resource to get to legend ere every month. Currently at Rank 5
Here is a replay vs an OTK/Undatakah Pally. The Cauldron won the game.

Have also beaten a Cubelock and Zoolock with the Cauldron Pally
