You asked about favorites, I really enjoy Sir Finley's diamond card; it's unique, clever and eye catching. Some good runner ups - Loatheb is mysterious and conveys a foreboding mood and Ragnaros, the Firelord looks beautiful and mesmerizing. In terms of least favorite, of course my input only reflects my tastes but I think Blademaster Samuro is rather uninteresting - doesn't look dynamic, evocative or tells a story. Runner up for for least favorite, Jandice Barrow - she just sort of sways back and forth. My favorite diamond cards convey a moment in time and tell a story (Loatheb), make good use of the animation cycle (Sir Finley) and, of course, make good use of a color palette (Balinda).

Has anyone else been getting a lot of auto-concedes? I can't remember the last time I've had so many opponents hit the concede button before a match even begins.
That's a good question. According to HSReplay, Deathrattle Hunter is the third most played deck at ranks 4, 3 and 2 and is the second most played at rank 1 as of today. But, I had a similar experience where Deathrattle Hunter really did well until I got to about rank 7 or 6. I believe the problem was the time of the season I was playing it. Deathrattle Hunter doesn't match up so well against faster, more aggressive decks like Odd Rogue, Zoolock, Token Druid and Odd Paladin. Those were the decks I was facing the most often at the end of the season when people want to ladder up to the next rank floor before the season ends. I switched to Odd Warrior and had pretty smooth sailing to get to rank 5. Good luck with climbing, I hope you are successful!
Quest Warrior is decent to very good against most of these decks (Recruit Hunter is a big problem though).
If you're thinking about last minute leveling up and run into a lot of aggro, try it out. I made it to rank 5 and 3 stars tonight with it. Against Odd Rogue, Even Shaman and Odd Paladin, just maximize your removal focus as much as possible in the early game. Lots of opponents will concede if you have 4 cards in your hand and they haven't been able to do much damage yet (they know your late game will be devastating). Against Even Warlock, play more for value and less about early removal and you'll be fine. Token Druid is almost always a walk in the park (the only play they can make that is tough is Spreading Plague into Soul of the Forest - don't play more than 3 minions at a time are you're good).
Warning, high value decks like Quest Priest, Taunt Druid and Big Druid will simply out-value you and have a much more powerful late game.

Miserable time to get the Win 5 Tavern Brawl quest...

For the folks who love random, this is wonderful. For the rest of us, it's just one more reason to really dislike Tavern Brawls.

So glad you posted this! I really don't care for Battlegrounds or Duels and dreaded playing them even once. Thanks for the tip!

I think my idea of fun and the designers of Hearthstone's idea of fun are getting further and further apart.

Platinum 5 is still better than the most and I appreciated your pun (Bomb Warrior was a 'blast', sly boots). Well done!

Looks like a very fun deck, lot's of cool cards that don't see a lot of play. I have some thoughts / feedback about the deck:
Khartut Defender may be worth considering if aggro is an issue. It's taunt, healing and has synergy with N'Zoth.
Deathstalker Rexxar might be good too. It's value, gives 5 armor and casts consecration on enemy minions.
I didn't see a way to buff the Augmented Porcupine which makes them questionable for your deck. Would Spider Bomb be better? Works with Oblivitron, N'Zoth, Spiritsinger Umbra and can be tricky for aggro to play around.
It looks very cool, I hope you have success with it.

I'm hoping to see a new game dynamic that gets us away from lackeys. Lackeys were fun, but they've overstayed their welcome to me.

Great article! Both the lore and the decks were a welcome read. Thanks!

Congratulations! I'm envious but glad to hear of your good fortune. Enjoy and make some cool decks!
