Hey guys. Much like the Surviving Standard series my goal with these is to start with an interesting deck that is fun to play can but can ultimately win games on the Wild ladder.
Hey guys. The goal of this series is to create and highlight an interesting deck and then play a few games on the ladder. Grinding Standard can be frustrating so we will try to "survive" by having as much fun as possible.
Dead Man's Hand is a tough card to evaluate in a deck because for 2-mana it actually does "nothing." The best use I believe is just putting another N'Zoth, the Corruptor or Brawl back in your deck. Warrior has a very strong N'zoth package with Mountainfire Armor, Direhorn Hatchling and Bone Drake. I have been very impressed with Blood Razor and I think every Warrior deck needs to look closely at including King Mosh because of how strong these cards combo.

Prince Keleseth is the most surprising card to me of the new set. Not because it is necessarily very good, but that it is very much playable. I think the key is in half your games turn-2 can be skipped with The Coin 3-drop into 3-drop. As a Hunter we will try to track him down with two copies of Tracking on turn-1. Copying deathrattles is the other theme of the deck, the list includes Play Dead, Terrorscale Stalker, Barnes, Spiritsinger Umbra and Princess Huhuran. Originally called "Death Knight Hunter" because of how many Death Knight cards you can get by copying Arfus.

This Meat Wagon surprise deck gets Summoning Portal in order to play many 3-drop creatures for 1 mana. Cheap cards combined with Hobgoblin lead to an explosive board in the midgame. If your opponent doesn't break the wagon we use both Sanguine Reveler & Ravenous Pterrordax to get the Portal out. With so many 1-drops & 3-drops in naturally the deck includes Prince Keleseth. One copy of Doomguard & Kabal Trafficker are included to finish and get value late game.

After experimenting with all the new Freeze cards I was most impressed with Ice Breaker. Extreme tempo can be gained in the midgame at the cost an enormous amount of life. After falling low the deck uses Alexstrasza, Hallazeal the Ascended and Kalimos, Primal Lord to come back from the brink. The key to the deck is Spirit Echo as it lets you copy a wide board of freeze creatures Glacial Shard & Brrrloc along with powerful murloc synergy cards like Murloc Warleader & Gentle Megasaur. Moorabi is unfortunately the worst card in the deck but is still included as a mascot.
Anyone else trying freeze? Would love to see more lists, please reply. :)
I think all the cards being neutral is a bit scary for the format. Druid appears to be the big winner (what else is new) because they can hit 5-mana the fastest and Ultimate Infestation has got to be one of the best cards to cheat out for 5-mana.
That alone isn't a big deal. It's when the too powerful or too weak enter the "mistake" territory and then Blizzard should step in not to balance every card but to fix the mistakes. No matter what freeze synergies are to come, there's no way Moorabi isn't a mistake at 6-mana 4/4.

Another Abyssal Enforcer or Siphon Soul could work out.

With Conceal being banished to Wild we head into the wilderness looking to use the card without Gadgetzan Auctioneer. The goal is to hide giant minions Luckydo Buccaneer, Furnacefire Colossus and the actual Mountain Giant. Most cards in this deck replace themselves to let you curve while keeping the giants cheap. The food for the colossus includes the new weapon Shadowblade, Assassin's Blade and Deadly Fork.

It will be better without Moorabi, yes.

I agree with the N'zoth plan. I found the three best deathrattles to be Bone Drake, Direhorn Hatchling and Mountainfire Armor.

150 pack of each xpac, that gets you x2 copy of each rare generally.
Once you hit the pity timer around 150 packs I would stop and save.

Cards come out powerful (like Spreading Plague) or weak (like Moorabi).

This is my Wild Zoo Priest list ported over to standard. We lose the powerful Jeeves to reload so we look instead to Devour Mind for extended value. This combined with Shadow Visions & Elise the Trailblazer ensures we will almost never run out of gas in the tank. (The video actually highlights an old version of the deck with Thoughtsteal instead of Shadow Visions)
