    He can't draw 1 or cast vast wisdom. Click the card to enlarge and there's an explanation of the weapon by blizzard. It'll analyze the board each turn and narrow the spell down to ones that would be good in that situation, then cast one. Ex: if the opponent has a lot of minions it'll likely cast blizzard or flamestrike, if they have no board it'll likely cast a secret, draw if you have a small hand size etc.

     All they do is limit design space and they're used as an excuse to print broken cards like Frostwyrm's Fury. Expansions are also limited because they have to print cards for one rune archetype - it's like they're trying to play 3 classes in one. The only cards in the past 3 expansions which have had more than 1 of the same rune are two plague cards and two random garbage cards (Cage Head + Death Metal Knight) which could easily be 1 rune each.

    The fact that they haven't printed more 3 rune cards for a year now and even buffed soulstealer to 2 blood runes speaks volumes.

    Bellowing flames and sanitize are just really oppressive to try playing around. They're probably the two best removal spells in standard right now - it's next to impossible to create a board that can survive bellowing flames by turn 3 (usually 4 or 5, even) and sanitize is, in almost all circumstances a board wipe. And then you have to wade through brawl, badlands brawler, and reno and there's just no hope of trying to manage a board anymore.

    I think what makes this frustrating is that warrior has two "rest of game" oppressive legendaries in odyn and brann, so it can afford to sit back and do nothing except remove until they get played. Granted, brann is only broken because of astalor, an overpowered card that quite literally quadruples in power once brann is played. Still not sure why that card didn't get nerfed further despite being the most played card in standard.

    Miniaturize immediately made me think of that weird Rogue value card released ages ago: Gurubashi Hypemon. I guess Rogue has sort of been able to this in the past too with Shadowcaster and Sonya Shadowdancer.

    Probably the most boring card here but Nesting Golem looks incredibly strong. 4/3 -> 3/2 -> 2/1, it's so sticky that it might see real play. Piloted shredder but consistently great.

    Why was paladin's classic weakness lack of board clears and now it just has a mass transform along with prismatic beam and keeper's strength all at once?

    Feels bad on the shaman excavate stuff. Murloc sucks, both excavate cards suck (for the class, shroomscavate is fucking insane for paladin with garden's grace still in)

    Steal is the most depressing card I've seen printed in years. The card hasn't even been released and you can just tell how miserable it's going to feel every single time it gets played against you. Now we have this and Aman'Thul for the next two years in control priest to suck the fun out of everything. Why is it impossible for blizzard to make priest fun?

    posted a message on Duels Runs Coming to an End - Blizzard Removing the Duels Game Mode In April

    Duels was really fun, this sucks. Yeah there are some massive balance issues (early run aggression is just too vicious, you die on turn 3-4 against some decks so that a lot of interesting deck building is pointless, some passives like mummy magic/black ice are too good), but it was refreshing to play something different. The fact that your runs were never quite the same made the game not an endlessly repeating grindfest.

    The biggest mistake they ever made with duels was the bucket system changes "because they were too lazy". It made it too easy to manipulate your passives and bucket offerings by creating your initial deck from a small expansion size. The ability to heavily weight the buckets you get offered is bullshit. Not only that, tons of deck strategies just got eliminated because they used cards from too many expansions. Examples: you can't play murloc decks because there is no murloc bucket, can't play pirate decks because there is no pirate bucket, and so on.

    I legitimately think that if they put some effort into the previous bucket system duels would be far more popular than it is. I also don't get how bucket maintenance was time-consuming or took a lot of developer time, you literally just take existing buckets and add the new cards of expansions to them, sounds like a one-day job. But I'm not an indie developer I suppose.

    Title.

    Hard to believe Pyrotechnician got banned because the card that breaks it is the one that enables extreme mana cheating. I think people are just now realizing how broken new Thaddius is - Pyro gets banned, and now a Thaddius-Baron turn 6 OTK deck gets created along with sludge warlock OTKing people on turn 6-8. 

    We only have a few months left of Thaddius in standard and a simple solution would be to just rotate it early, its power level is still crazy but at least aggro decks in wild can kill these decks before it all goes off. Another solution would be to add the "not less than (1)" to the card.

    Definitely not - considering most decks right now revolve around 1-2 key cards you're basically cherry picking your matchups to get a higher winrate. Banning Sif would mean you wouldn't face a single mage. Banning Shudderwock would make it so you'd only ever face even shaman. Banning Astalor (in standard) would lead to crazy long queue times because he's in practically every deck, and it doesn't make sense either because you, yourself, can run it as it's a neutral card.

    This just gives me the impression of "I want to win more and not play against things my deck is weak against". That is literally what a metagame is.

    I'm quite surprised the reno hero is dodging the nerfs, I'd at the very least expect it to be on the watchlist. Probably the most powerful card ever printed in a vacuum at this point.

    Fate Splitter change really sucks, the card had a few interesting interactions that at least made it fun to use, now it's just shit. OTK reckless mine priest with infinite teron gorefiend now doesn't work and that was a pretty funny deck to pilot.
