I got pretty lucky myself. Let's see if T5 decides to nerf some of the new legendaries :).

posted a message on Unpopular Opinion, I'm going to miss Deathknights.

Of course, I am going to miss them. They were OP and sometimes were game winning, but so was C'Thun or N'Zoth for example and I miss all of them. They are not gone for good, they are in Wild, but they had a nice flavour, like quests or legendary weps.

I am happy tho, that we move on, a new meta will come, a new OP, broken cards will emerge. Diversity and changing the scenery is a good thing.

    Quote from azher >>

First open your 50 prepurchased packs but make sure you open each one of them every time your device’s clock changes minute, be precise. Then you may spend your money on more packs, but buy them always in groups of a prime number, starting in one, then two, three, five and so on.

    Enjoy your opening =)

That made my day. Thank you. I will follow your advice while opening my packs.

To the Op: you will get your legendary upon login once the expansion is released. It has nothing to do with your order of opening the packs.

posted a message on New Neutral Minion - Flight Master

Lol, I didn't actually know that this card existed (maybe it got revealed in the last stream, with Kibler).

My first thought, seeing this card, was "why doesn't he give Flying to your minions?"

My second thought was "why doesn't this gryphon have flying?"

It would be so cool, right? Oh, well, one can dream...

posted a message on First deck you're going to try?

Secret pala and zoolock. Can't wait to try them, but I will probably have to wait until the weekend to actually spam-play them.

Until then I will keep myself informed, checking the news and the streams, deciding with which deck I would like to ladder.

posted a message on More Deck slots -.-?

I usually play with only the first 9-slot page. If I try and don't like the deck, I just delete it. More deck slots won't make any difference for me - I still won't going to use them. I understand there are different people and stuff, so I am not against more deck slots, but for me, it's useless to keep decks I don't enjoy playing anymore or decks from old expansions.

If I want to change 1-2 cards in a deck, I do it in the existing one - no need for me to have 2-3 of the same decks with only 1-2-3 different tech cards. Changing the decks every game doesn't improve my win rates also, so I don't have the need to store so many decks ready to play (deckstrings are just a few clicks away - be it local or in the web). And sometimes I enjoy going in to my collection in order to build a deck for a quest or to add a tech card that I believe will counter the "hot stuff" that day.

But I guess, those small QoL-changes keep the community happy and the game looks fresh for the returning old players, so I support them. Also shows that the developers are listening and responding to the players, which gives us the feeling that our voices matter.

posted a message on New expansion but same old archetype?
    Quote from ManThighs >>

Old archetypes always exist. Miracle Rogue, Zoo, Midhunter, Token Druid, Burn Mage will all exist just with slightly different cards and variations.

Exactly this. The archetypes existed and will continue to exist probably always, since that's how the developers designed the basic and classic sets and the hero powers of each class.

However, the synergies, the new additions to those archetypes and how dominant they are in the current state of the meta, changes with every expansion and more noticeable - with every standard rotation.

posted a message on Rise of Shadows Official Launch Times Announced!

Can't wait to get home from work today. And the good thing, that's about 2 hours after the release. Then I need to make a couple of phone calls, so I will be good to login in about 3-4 hours after the planned release time, which should make so that I avoid the login queue times.

posted a message on Cards that you'll miss in rotating sets and new ones in expansion

I will miss so many cards from the year of the mammoth, I almost want to cry. That's why I won't start typing all of them now. It was fun playing all of them and I was shivering every time an opponent played them against me. But at the end, it was fun. A lot.

But the card that I am going to miss the most is the Cube. He enabled so many other cards and cheating big minions or getting extra resources, that it was a pleasure to play him every single time. The thing that he was a neutral also allowed me to try him in a variety of classes with different win conditions.

posted a message on My Take on RoS Warlock

Looks interesting on paper and I will definitely try something similar as well (maybe add a silence or 2 or something like Mojomaster Zihi or another tech card).

I have build decks before around the spirit of the bat and it's a really cool to have your 1-2 drops buffed even a couple of times from it. Never tried Hireek, the bat tho, but maybe he will work in such a deck as well.

Aggro and zoo archetypes always see a rise when new expansion hits until the people figure all the synergies and start building more control decks.

    Thanks for sharing.

posted a message on Deathstalker Rexaar and the price that hunter will pay.

I won't miss DK Rexxar either, but I think with Zul'jin, as one of only 3 hero cards that remain in standard, spell hunter has a chance to be a T1/T2 deck. At least T5 is trying to push it up there, we shall see if it finds it's spot with the best.

Midrange hunter with the damn Hyenas, kodos, highmanes, animal companion, dire frenzy, kill command and Springpaws is still out there. In this deck, the DK was just a late game win condition against control decks (eventually every deck runs out of single target removals and silences).

So, ye, losing one card is going to remove a whole win condition in basically every hunter deck out there and that will hurt them, but I won't go so far to say that hunter will be a bottom tier class for the next 1-2 years, because of how powerful their DK was.

posted a message on Disenchant Marin the fox and C'thun

They were given for free to everyone, same as Archmage Vargoth recently and all the basic cards, so No, they can't be dusted.
