It would indeed be great in such very specific scenario (Homebrew Counter to Secrets Paladin), but generally in many other cases and matchups, wouldn't really be (i.e. Patron Warrior).
Another issue is that it requires some real heaving teching to have it work as intended and try to milk the very value out of it, which in most cases, leads to a whole other controllish type of deck that is subpar for the most part on ladder.

"Battlecry: Put a 1-Cost minion from each deck into the battlefield."
2
"Choose one - Discover a minion; or Discover a spell."

"Deathrattle: Summon a random 1-Cost minion."
9
"Battlecry: Discover a powerful Artifact."

The token Artifacts:

"Battlecry: If your deck contains no more than 1 of any card, fully heal your hero."
13
"Battlecry: Discover a new Basic Hero Power."
1
"Deathrattle: Deal 1 damage to a random enemy."
3
"Secret: When an opposing Hero Power is used, deal 5 damage to a random enemy."
1
"Battlecry: Discover a Beast."
4
"Battlecry: Choose a friendly minion. Gain a copy of its Deathrattle effect."
0
"Give a minion +1/+1 and "Deathrattle: Add an Explorer's Hat to your hand.""
