Netdecking a legend viable deck as a noob then feeling bad when you can't take it past 15 is totally predictable. The responses in this thread explain why the ladder is non-stop aggro shaman and pirate warrior. You should be in the middle of the phase where this game is at it's most fun, you are still learning. Pressuring yourself to get to high ranks will rob you of that. Stop worrying about the rank and at least start tweaking your decks yourself, even if you are not fully confident in your build skills or whether you have improved the deck or not. Who cares, its a fucking video game, getting legend is less satisfying that just being a little creative in this game, trust me.

iandakar posted a message on Are You Not Entertained?!?Posted in: General DiscussionA question.. how often were you winning in Casual beforehand?
Remember that casual has an MMR system not unlike Rank's star system. That is, the better you do the stronger your opponent. This also means that doing well means you will be facing opponents who are more serious about the game.
I'm suspecting that a lot of hte folks here who have bad casual experiences (the "everyone is trying so hard with tier 1 decks!" business) has been winning games in that mode before. As such the game is already pegging them as someone who is highly competitive and needs similarly competitive opponents. This will especially happen if you were playing high tier decks seriously in the past but can also happen if you were playing bad decks but were doing a good job with them.
This WILL happen if you've been avoiding casual because 'you keep losing'. If the only thing you do in casual is win you'll skyrocket right into the hyper competitive zone. Losses, and lots of them, are what keep you facing the more casual crowd. Winning more than losing pushes you up against harder opponents, winning and losing the same rate keeps you at the same 'level' and losing a lot drops you down.
If this is all true then it might mean you need to be losing more of your matches. I can imagine that playing normally but always conceding when you're are about to win would do it.
Worth a try if others haven't already tried it.

Castigation posted a message on [NEW] Meta Tier List - Warrior is Dead :(Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from Peteravens05 >>sigh.
First of all, Meta lists are a joke and if you follow them to get your information on what to play, just get off hearthstone and play something Else
2. Like I mentioned, Its all based off opinions on what they see on ladder and how many people play them. plus youre not playing the game for fun at that point if you are only playing a deck cause its "tier" 1.
3. Warrior is fine, its not good as use to be but the problem is the meta gets settled so quickly that once the 2-3 decks that people crown as tier 1, thats basically all you will see.
<sigh>Why is it some people feel the need to explain things even when they're completely wrong? Hsreplay base their list on statistics from the game. They even give you the info on the number of games played so you can judge the significance of the percentages. Why should you dictate who's allowed to play HS on some weird arbitrary premise? And why are you trying to do with #2? First you make an erroneous statement then you b-line straight to an argument from emotion that's once again based on something arbitrary and subjective as "fun". -

It's too easy to simply say the deck is terrible. Maybe you just need to get better at piloting it. That's what I'm trying to do and I just made it to 11 and am still climbing.

The difference is there are a lot of arena players who liked the ability to play Wild again for a limited time. Just calm down, I mean 3 weeks with an average of 3.9 wins, essentially you didn't lose anything, you just earned a bit less than usual...plus it IS over soon ;)

One step closer to world peace, thanks Team5!

I don't see a big problem there...you've got so much time left until the end of the season, that rank 5 is almost a guarantee. And I guess you should be used to static ranking from the seasons before (rank 5-1) ;)

Hey Streets, either take out the two Ravens again or change the "without cards from Karazhan" in your description ;)€: disregard, 19 month since Karazhan came out made me forget obv ^^

Blizzard made their decision on the big bonus of class cards for Discover and they knew about it when designing Duskbreaker. Let's call it the Priest treatment or just:

I don't like nerf threads in general, and certainly not one who has "biggest mistake" in its title, but I want to add to the "discussion" with two cents:
1) a card that needs you to survive against agro until at least turn 6 without spells can't be too OP, Reno was quite the same task with different restrictions (highlander instead of no spells, Legendary instead of two copies of the card in the deck)
2) what I don't like about Spiteful Summoner is the class preference this minion brings with it: only 4 classes have access to 10-mana-spells (Warlock, Priest, Mage, Druid) and only 4 classes have access to 8-mana-spells (Warlock, Priest, Mage, Paladin). What's more, three classes have spells for both sweet spots, only two more have one spot and the other four classes are left out of this card & concept.

No, no, no, don't tell even more guys to start roping every time they're losing and hope for the 0.1% chance of the opponent losing their connection :/
