posted a message on Expansion is great! Don’t believe the cry babys

The streamers I am watching are having a great time. Best expansion ever for wild. And that is important, although people here always claim otherwise , by numbers standard is less popular globally. And the wild meta is fast for years now, with the average game ending on 5-8, with 8 mana already being late game. Still, there are enough people playing slow stuff for control mirrors to happen. But even they tend to end around turn 10. fatigue never happens unless both players are playing odd warrior. That’s what happens when new and interesting cards are printed. Standard gets faster too, and honestly that’s great. Everytime I play it i am bored as hell by how slow it is and how limited the card pool is.
There have always been “uninteractive” decks in history, and they habe one thing in common: people rage, although the winrate is horrible most of the times, as they lose to aggro hard. And minion combat does happen - in aggro mirrors and in aggro vs midrange/ control. Still, standard people will get what they want, and the cool new cards will be gone from wild since unplayable. The quests are already really bad, and they won’t survive a nerf in wild. I doubt that they are that good in standard either. Face Hunter and handbuff Paladin destroy them, as does burn rouge. And against face Hunter, handbuff paladin and other Aggro decks, minion combat does happen. And I do not see any difference between being doomhammered on 6, being killed by a face Hunter on 6 or destroyed by 3 giants turn 4 by darkglare wild warlock (no quest) and being killed by a quest reward on 8. Yeah sure, you can tech against the other decks a little better, but they are way more consistent and on average win faster. And if you count deck choices as tech (they are!), quest decks are even easier to tech against: aggro. just play a minion on 1 instead of giving up tempo and a card in hand for a quest, just kill them fast -> you did interact with their deck by counter queuing. Meta will become hostile for quests and they will fall off.

Brian Kibler literally left the stream sad/angry yesterday and said that today he would stream again but that he is not excited to play the game right now because the OTK decks kill him before turn 7. There are a lot of competitive players on Twitter that are making jokes about 'solitaire game' and that the meta right now is a failure. Thijs put 'Solitaire Game' as his Stream category. A lot of streamers/professional players are so fed up about the meta right now and you are here defending the OTK decks and that the streamers you are watching are having a great time. Don't lie to make your point valid.

You're arguing with someone who is claiming that Wild is more popular than Standard, not really sure what you were expecting.

I dunno man....it's not the strength which bothers me but the masturbatory nature of the matches.

I've only played a few games thus far this expansion but every one was nothing more than both players racing against the other to complete their quest.  There was no thought process or board interaction involved. I know things will settle but this expansion feels, 'weird' to me but I can't explain why.

I feel you man, I don’t understand why Paladin gets 1 good expansion and then poop for the rest of the year…

Oh please....let's not pretend as if the devs haven't had a hard on for that class the past year plus.  Between Libram and Secret support, they have done more than enough to make the class viable for multiple archetypes - it just so happens they got carried away last expansion.

posted a message on Quest Mage is unstoppable.

This expansion was the first one in the past couple years where I didn't get a preorder bundle and honestly, the quests were a big reason for it.  I saw way too much potential for quick, one-sided, super aggressive matches and it just didn't appeal to me.  I'll happily do my daily quests with whatever decks I can cobble together and just wait until things normalize a bit.

posted a message on Opening Results! [United in Stormwind]

Used to buy the $80 version of every expansion and it seemed like I was fairly rewarded.  Forged in the Barrens saw me only buy into the $40 version and it was definitely my lowest legendary haul at 5 (counting the auto-include) in 130+ total packs.  This year I decided to stay away from the prepurchase and only open 100 packs with my saved gold...3 legends with 1 being that horrendous 8/6 Warlock card.

    Not saying....but just saying...

posted a message on Worried about defend the dwarven district

The only thing I'm worried about is not finding a golden copy for that sweet sweet 3200 dust when it inevitably gets nerfed.  Maybe all the hype will be much ado about nothing and the quest will be garbage but almost every time the player has the ability to reduce the cost of anything to 0 mana it becomes problematic.

    Quote from BrindlePoint >>

Eh when the game is no longer fun put it down. I try for legend every season but I always use tier 1 or tier 2 decks because otherwise the experience is too frustrating. Casual isn't much better, all legend level players using meta decks. There should be a non meta mode

It would take approximately 2 hours before a handful of decks become the meta of the nonmeta mode

I subbed out Void Flayer for C'Thun and am 5-0 thus far with the deck.

Super fun to play.  Nice job.

posted a message on Blizzard will nerf Warlock in the next patch, I guess.
    Quote from jazzfan27 >>

It wouldn't surprise me given how they treated Priest this last round of nerfs.

In standard Blizzard fashion, I say any Warlock nerf should be met with a substantial Paladin buff.

posted a message on why have these obnoxiously oppressive cards not been nerfed yet?

Rhino and Troublemaker are more than fine.  Are they powerful? yes, but they're beyond predictable (Rhino especially) and I feel can be played around.  Sometimes they beat you, sometimes you beat them.

Inquisitor probably needs to be toned down a bit.  I think either a mana increase to 9, dropping the 'demon' tribe or making the rush/attack face an outcast stipulation would be more than a fair adjustment to the card while still keeping it powerful in the late game.

I know the devs have hardcore stroked to warlock........the cringe deck running 20 removals while gaining life until they get to their gay legendaries to end the game...is a fxcking joke.  Unless you're playing mage/priest and get lucky, you'll just watch your board get wiped again and again.

And people here actually cry about aggro??!!  If you are losing to aggro in this meta, then you are just bad at the game.

The warlock deck that's bottom tier 4 and loses to anything that isn't priest? That warlock deck?

Maybe you're just bad at the game...?

I'm probably terrible at the game because every time I queue against a warlock they manage to have a perfect curve...every...single...game

Good for these streamers to speak up.

Now if they stop playing Hearthstone completely and stop profiting on it, they have my utmost respect.

If they continue playing this game they are just low two-faced hypocrites...

So if these streamers (who don't know you) essentially quit their jobs they will have your respect; however, if they don't then they are hypocrites.  I say you put your money where your mouth is and you cut off your major source of revenue first and if you can't bring yourself to doing that then YOU are the hypocrite my friend.

    Don't be such a small-minded child.

But his major source of revenue is not Blizzard, dumbass, why would he cut it ?

The audacity you need to call someone small-minded child with a mind such as yours, it's wonderful.

How would you know that exactly?  The response was a direct reply to a comment about streamers in general; not one specific one so I have zero idea where you're coming from saying "his major source of revenue".  Let's then follow this up with the comment, "Now if *they* stop playing Hearthstone completely and stop profiting on it, they have my utmost respect"....'they' being the key word in that sentence, not 'he' or 'she'.

So I'll keep my previous comment intact and I'll suggest you learn to read.  I promise it will give much more validity to your responses.

posted a message on Do you think the questline will be finished in most games?

I honestly see them being completed on par with or slightly less than C'Thun; but like C'Thun, you don't need to play all the cards to extract value throughout the game.
