posted a message on PSA for those who don't keep up with News: Don't disenchant classic versions of Core Cards

With the arrival of the core set, I initially thought that disenchanting duplicate copies would be okay. I'm sure a large portion of players already knew this if they kept up with patch notes and whatnot (I didn't because I was more of the mindset that I'll figure things out when the expansion drops), but Core cards are only useable in standard/wild and they rotate meaning they won't be in your collection once they rotate. The classic versions of your cards are useable in the classic format unlike core cards and will remain in your collection permanently as they always have.

TLDR: Don't be an idiot like me

I've had the same issue as well. Ever since I finished the 100 cards quest, I haven't gotten a quest yesterday or this morning. Has anyone notified Blizzard about this bug?

    Quote from FortyDust >>

Not trying to be one. OP probably lost a game to Pogo Rogue or Mech Paladin and is complaining about the wrong thing. Lifesteal by itself is not inherently broken, it's Zilliax, with Rush in particular, being able to combine with massive mechs for an instant full heal if the previous body isn't removed. I'm all for discussion but sorry this is just a less angry salt post.

Just wait until I make my Tempo, 1-cost hero power Demonlock with Guldan, defile, spellstones, and hellfire, only this time I’m throwing away every demon associated with the current, playable archetypes. The meta will never see it coming.

posted a message on Baku/Odd Warlock is "CANCER"! Wahhh!

    Hi.

So as a relatively new player, I thought I'd try experimenting with the different kinds of decks I could make with Baku because who isn't curious about the types of decks you can make with odd cards alone. Quest Warrior with double armor, Inner Fire Priest with double heal, etc. I've been wanting to try out Cubelock since KaC, yet refrained to see what the new expansion would bring. Today I decided to craft it and try out the upgraded version of the hero power that doesn't leech away your life with Baku, in essence Odd Cubelock with free card draw.

Now I'm not sure what the general consensus is on the format of testing out the decks you have no idea how they will perform, but as someone who'd rather not throw a star away for free in ranked, I typically go to the other option, Casual. Boy, let me tell you, I've seen some salt, but over a deck without Guldan, Defile, Amethyst Spellstones, Hellfires, Spellbreakers, and Plated Beatles, I honestly didn't think it would be too much of a big deal to use it in a casual game.

Besides most of the remaining Warlock cards when you filter out Even cards belong to one warlock deck archetype anyway which is, surprise! Cubelock.

The first and only game I played with it, I managed to squeak away a win before deeming the deck ineffective and quitting. The lack of removal and heal against aggro decks is pretty painful, so I figured I'd toss the idea out the window and into the garbage.

Here begins the age, old Hearthstone tale that starts with the chime of a notification stating you have a new friend request on your Battle.net Window.

According to the words of my most recent opponent...

"Nice cancer deck !@#$%^, kill yourself for being a braindead cubelock &*!@#$ lmao

    In casual even !@#$%^"

Unfortunately these were his final words before he miraculously "disappeared" from my friend's list of his own accord leaving me unable to appropriately respond.

Honestly, I'm pretty trash when it comes to deckbuilding, so I thought I'd get secondary opinions. Is it wrong to test decks in casual if you don't want a loss that will put you further away from a rank checkpoint? In addition to the fact that your deck may or may not be some amalgamation of something you slapped together with cards that are not fully divisible by the number 2? If you are one of the: A. Rabid haters of Cubelock who wish to see it freeze in the lower circles of Dante's Inferno, B. One of the people who use Cubelock just cause they can, or C. One of the people who don't give a flip and dominate Cubelock like it's breakfast, lunch, and dinner, please leave an opinion (preferably without racism, bigotry, or discrimination towards same-sex couples) and share your thoughts.

You have to be careful posting thoughts like this on this website because there's lots of hardcore elitists out here who hate giving any support to people who don't pay for the game haha.

This isn't the right solution though, because as people mentioned, you could completely disenchant your wild set and basically have 100% of the standard set at all times.

I wish they would do something about dust though.  Maybe wild cards should be able to be crafted for half cost?  So 800 dust to craft a wild legendary?  It would allow f2p players to maybe more easily have fun in wild while building up their collection.

Or sell wild packs for less gold or something.  I don't think there's much that can be done though.  If you want to play completely f2p, you just have to realize you won't be competitive for a while, unless you completely dedicate yourself to getting as much gold as you can every day (by which I mean, pushing for that 100 gold cap all the time, which you simply can't do if you have any social life/work life lol).

Yeah, I realized I didn’t really think it through about where I was posting this until you said this haha.

Maybe they should add more unique quests. (and not make them so hidden)

So if you get every class to 20 you get X

For reaching rank 20 for the first time you get 5 packs.  Or have bigger monthly quests, a lot of games (and I cant see hearthstone doing it) have a more robust check-in type system where you get big bonuses if you log on every day for a month.  This is to get a bigger playerbase, but the point is, having unique starting quests would be really cool and could help make new players get more invested.

I like that idea. What if they make a new exp system that grants rewards similarly to leveling up a class. For example winning and playing games will earn you exp and when you max the meter it grants a pack and resets the bar so you can do it over again.
I feel I might need to mention this, but I am most definitely NOT a f2p player. I just feel bad that new people can’t enjoy the game as much as I do simply because of a lacking collection.

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately about how hard hearthstone is for f2p players and while I’m not really a f2p player, I can understand the sentiment as I have been in the same spot before.

Typically most f2p players tend to focus on one game mode instead of both due to expenses for cards, so I was thinking what if Blizzard allowed full dust refunds on all cards from expansions that were rotating out to wild. This way f2p players can dust their old collection and can be able to keep up with the new meta.

     1. it would mean the end of wild as you could easily get a full standard collection by gutting your wild set.
    2. it would mean blizzard gets 0 money thanks to #1.
Yeah, that’s a really good point. Maybe if they put a limit like get full dust on 4 cards of your choice?
