irhmgg1 posted a message on Twin Slice, Blade Dance, Soulshard Lapidary and DH healing problem.Posted in: Card Discussionyou should play soul DH and know their mindset and curves. weaknesses are
1. its EZ to bait them becuz they have few removals and comebacks
2. an efficient Blade Dance in early turns is almost impossible.
3.once they play thier 1 mana or 2 mana Soul generators never go all in cuz 3 mana AoE is the follow up
but if they don't any aggro decks can farm Soul DH.
i suggest a Heavy burn deck like Burn shaman or burn Face hunter or DH with so much from hand dmg
an aggro deck that manages resources efficiently can beat them
4. also Druid with big taunts is favoured but should manages resources proprely and both new armor spells must be included.
good luck

"DH has no value"
If there wasn't SO MUCH card draw in the class, players would have a reason to include value cards like:
Felosophy , Netherwalker , Zai, the Incredible
But they don't need to, since they can simply gain huge card advantage via drawing.
(not to mention that the ability or lack of card generation was not a metric back when designing the core classes)
"DH isn't able to deal with huge minions"
DH can get huge attack easily: check
DH has access to Blade Dance : check
DH has a decent amount of cards to heal himself/make himself invunerable even if he spends his attack to kill said minion: check
DH has a large amount of cards (silence, negate taunt) to make him not care about a problematic minion on board: check
I think that establishing real class weaknesses and toning down the overblown class cards mana and effect-wise would help DH feel real and align itself better with the rest of the classes.
Cheersthe joke is that demon hunter even have value options, they simply just don't play them because their aggro and midrange options are so over powered that it would be to gimp themselves not to play them

YourPersonalGuru posted a message on Can we just address the elephant in the room ?Posted in: Demon HunterBut Illidan is such a badass dude! All the developers were absolutely shitting themselves out of pure excitement when they got to make their own card for their favorite WC3 hero!"Who wants to make a boring mediocre basic card?" Ben asked.-The room was silent, for they all wanted to make the sickest, most badass card for the most badass guy in the game."OK... then who wants to playtest against this new class?" Ben asked.-Still the room was quiet, for nobody wanted to play wuzz-ass Malfurion, now that they could be the even more ripped and mentally complex Illidan, sex god of dweebs."Well... I guess we should just release what we have and see where it goes" Ben said. And so it came to pass, that a new hero would take the scene and everyone forgot that Patches the pirate and Caverns below had ever been even the slightest nuisance."A blunder?" one might a have asked -

Burebista posted a message on Can we just address the elephant in the room ?Posted in: Demon HunterOk, so ever since I started playing this game years ago, I never ever enjoyed aggro decks. I believe they are used by people that only think about reaching Legend and then to brag about it to their 12 year old friends. It's just a disgusting style of play that absolutely kills the fun of a card game like Hearthstone.
When they decided to implement this new class in the game, I saw the annoucement and they said DH is a class that it's identity is attacking relentless, every turn, aggresive play style. Ok, I get that, you decide to implement a new hyper aggro class to a game that was already dominated by aggro style. But how can you still talk shit about class identity, start robbing the other classes of some of their main tools just because they are not compatible with that class's identity and then creat DH that literally has ALL THE FUCKING IDENTITIES OF THE OTHER CLASSES ?!?!?
I mean, ok, bash me with 15 attack in the face on Turn 5 but WTF C'MON, I expect after you do that you don't have any more answers to my moves. Maybe I could heal or play a Taunt to try and survive but for fuck's sake, then you start drawing 10 mil cards with 4 mana. And then you heal for 11 in the same time that you damage me for 11 more. But wait, you can also clear my entire board that I did and I think that I can hide behind a massive taunt, don't worry, he can bypass that too.
I'm not someone that plays every day for hours and hours grinding for Legend. Matter of fact, I don't even care about legend rank. I just want to have some fun while reaching Rank 5 Diamond. That's my goal every season since I do not have time to play. But in the last few days of this expansion, I had some time off so I decided to try a multitude of decks (Control, Tempo, Combo). I have played with all the classes (except DH and Hunter) and I have tried at least a dozen different decks. ALL of them are stomped by DH, just because the class has answer to absolutely everything I can throw on the board.
Having AoE, Lifesteal, Card Draw, ability to give yourself charge with at least 6 attack every Turn and now, a 2 6/6 with rush for 2 mana...it's just too much to handle.
What I'm trying to say is that this class was a mistake from the very beggining. It's poorly designed and anti-fun. They nerfed it so many times, even more than poor Quest Rogue back in the days but the class is still the most OP in the game. If they would at least take the card draw or lifesteal away from the class, since it's not compatible with it's identity, maybe we could counter it somehow but at this point, DH is the bane of the entire game.

ScarletHS posted a message on Twin Slice, Blade Dance, Soulshard Lapidary and DH healing problem.Posted in: Card DiscussionThis class ruined the game, at least in Standard. I've literally quit standard because I just can't stand running into DH at all. In wild, if the rarity occurs, I usually auto-concede since nothing I do against them matters at all.

-Soul DH is over played, its OP.
- Aggro hunter is over played and too aggresive.
- Pure/Libram Paladin is also too popular and requires tune down.

I enjoy that there is more than one archetype of priest now, the new stealing cards are very interesting in my opinion, too. So many people complaining about the games being too long... I actually enjoy games that are not just decided by who can do more face damage within the first five turns. Some people like games that take more than five minutes where you have to think several turns ahead and try to create as much value as possible.
You play an aggressive deck and hate playing against priest(or any kind of control deck) because you lose after 15 minutes+? You clearly doing something wrong, if you can't tell the game is over when your aggrodeck hasn't beaten the other deck by turn 10 and you keep playing, that is your own fault. I played against a face hunter yesterday who only conceded after he played the very last card in his deck. I was at 20+ health the whole game and had have control over the board since turn 5. But it sure was my fault the game took so long...

Yes because I never had anyone else spamming emotes and being toxic after friend requests. Looking at you rexxar.

So funny reading all these theories on unfair match making, this must mean that there are a bunch of people out there who blizzard decided to only let them play their most favorable match ups, man they must be lucky as hell! Or maybe all the hard counters that play against you are blizzard employees, out there to get you?

So if it is 100% randomness then how can you have 0% match ups? Do you have a problem with too much rng or with overpowered deck(s)?

Galawarrior with the enrage mechanics and armorsmiths do the trick for me. Since they are usually stupid af and just go face I had it several times that they ignored my armorsmith, I got to play out multiple minions and then damage them or trade them into their stupid snakes, on occasion copying a damaged armorsmith to gain upwards of 20 armor. Sometimes they concede right away, sometimes they rage quit a couple of turns later when their hands is empty, my armor intact and my board about to kill them. Either way it makes me happy.

Are you maybe confusing the single player content called "rise of galakrond" and the card pack bundle? The first gives you access to the single player adventure, where you unlock certain cards once you beat it and the second just gives you card packs from the year of the dragon.

Yeah that is what I am thinking, have you guys played shaman? It is fine, actually. I think everybody just assumes it is dead since it was nerfed twice, but it actually is still a strong class. Just because it isn't as popular does not mean it is weak. It's just not an autopilot-win-every-game-class anymore, which no class should be.

Maybe so you can give an old otk a new name by adding a new legendary?

Everything unless they draw the nuts.

You face pogo rogues a lot? All I see on ladder right now (7-9eu) is aggro decks like mech-hunter, midrange-hunter, mech-paladin and murloc-shaman as well as cc-mage, either dragon or cyclone-build. Meaning you either die turn 6 because a bunch of big as mechs hit your face or you die turn 8 because a bunch of big as giants hit your face. No room for infinite value anywhere to be found.
