posted a message on New Druid Removal

    Damn, that's interesting.

Deal 6 damage to a minion, then gain 6 Attack and 6 Armor.

    And those roots are interesting...

    Anyways, I have this:

    It's in my card thread.

posted a message on Weekly Design Competition #18 - [Ended]

She has lynched for many fraternities and sororities before lynching for the Defias.

Summon: None may challenge the brotherhood!

    Attack: Tread lightly!

posted a message on Hackergrad's Stash of Cards

Hello, Hearthpwn. This is Hackergrad, and I like Hearthstone, and I have some card concepts I'd like to share. Though some are unoriginal, there are some you might like. I hope you enjoy browsing to my custom card stash.

    Paladin Cards

    Dragonkin Vanguard

Argent Protector is his Senpai. Notice him, Argent Protector-senpai!

    Summon: I enter the fray!

    Attack: Come at me!

The first iteration was my entry for last time's competition. It was a finalist. It did not win. This makes me mad! RRR! ME SMASH! (Just kidding.) But seriously, it was my entry for the last time's competition and it was a finalist, although it did not win. In truth, I can understand, given it's my second time, and it may take time to get the hang of it.

Both iterations were designed with an early-game Dragon Taunt for Dragadin without compromising the curve in mind. The first iteration also gives the next Dragon played Divine Shield, just like how Dragon Consort makes the next Dragon cheaper. The second iteration, on the other hand, is straightforward, which, when played without a Dragon on hand, is a Goldshire Footman, but, when played with a Dragon on hand, becomes an Annoy-o-Tron for ONLY 1 MANA! Which version is preferred more?

    Templar's Verdict

When you absolutely, positively have to smite every evil being in the room.

I heard Paladins are the only class in the game unable to dispatch 3-Health minion turn 1 and 2. Behold, the card that solves this problem.

It is technically an offspring of Slam and Heroic Strike, but with Paladin genes instead of Warrior genes. Not only can it deal with the likes of MechwarperNorthshire Cleric and Anodized Robo Cub in Tank Mode, but it can even go as far as the likes of FlamewakerSpider Tank and Tinkertown Technician.

WARNING: Not recommended for use against Grim Patron and Acolyte of Pain.

    Silver Hand Captain

He's Quartermaster's drinking buddy. And they both like a certain saxophone piece.

    Summon: To the front lines!

    Attack: For the Silver Hand!

This card may seem OP at first glance with Muster for Battle and Quartermaster, but mind you that Silver Hand Captain-Muster for Battle-Quartermaster combo is a 3-card 10 mana combo. Turn 2 Silver Hand and turn 3 Muster for Battle may be OP, but I don't know if that is the case. All in all, I feel Paladins NEED this, due to their lack of burst damage.

    Priest Cards

    Lightsworn Retainer

"Cross over, children! Cross over to the Light!" -some Blood Elf Priest

    Summon: Stay with the light!

    Attack: Begone, spawn of darkness!

It has nothing to do with the Yu-Gi-Oh! archetypeHonest!

The problem with Shadowform is that once you go Shadowform, you can never go back. This card circumvents this problem. Even if Anduin's just his ordinary Holy Priest self, you'd still get decent value out of this by virtue of being a 2/5. Maybe I should nerf the statline by 1 point?

    Minerva the Lightsworn Saint/Soraka

For Minerva: What's her secret to becoming an efficient healer? Apparently, it has something to do with her high heels.

Summon: By the light, we shall prevail.

    Attack: Let battle be joined.

For Soraka: She's popular among monkeys. I think it has something to do with the projectiles she fires.

    Summon: Let me guide you.

    Attack: They will know serenity.

Basically, one is a reskin of the other. Which one is more preferred? (I am contemplating on using A'dal, M'uru or Ishanah for a WoW lore counterpart. With that, which of the three then is more preferred?)

This one is outside WoW lore (just because). The former, as opposed to above, IS a part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! archetype [albeit an OCG exclusive (for now)], while the latter is a champion in League of Legends (because LoL art looks like it can fit through Hearthstone art, also, she resembles a Draenei).

That aside, this turns your Hero Power into AoE healing. Particularly deadly with Auchenai Soulpriest. That said, maybe the statline is too OP; should I nerf it?

    Mage Cards

    Ice Barrier Knight

He is willing to teach Ice Barrier and maybe even Chocolate Milk Barrier for free.

    Summon: None shall pass!

    Attack: Bring it on!

    Death: An honorable death!

This card is based on Royal Knight of the Ice Barrier, another Yu-Gi-Oh! card.

Armor? For Mages? What heresy is this? Oh wait, there's Ice Barrier.

That said, there are 2 iterations of this card. Which of these iterations is balanced/preferable? Iterations aside, should this card be a Warrior-class card instead of a Mage-class card?

Either way, both iterations are designed for Freeze Mage. Or traditional Mage. Both iterations were inspired by Flamewaker.

    Ice Barrier Dance Princess

Don't tell her I said this, but, she's not really a princess, and she can't really dance.

Summon: How can I be of use?

    Attack: Very well.

This card is based on Dance Princess of the Ice Barrier, another Yu-Gi-Oh! card.

It's a mild Shadowform in minion form. It costs 1 more mana than Steamwheedle Sniper because it changes the Hero Power permanently. Maybe it should be 4 stats for 3 mana instead of 5, or a 4-mana 3/3, what do you think? It, from 3 mana, has now been nerfed to 4 mana, and the initial Hero Power cannot freeze the enemy hero. Maybe I should make it a 3/3 instead of a 2/3, what do you think?

    Druid Cards

    Dryad

She's not the dryad you're looking for.

    Summon: What is nature's call?

    Attack: Aim dead center.

The dryad can either be an Ogre Magi with -1/+1, or a Laughing Sister for one more mana or a Spectral Knight with -1/-1 for 1 less mana, however you want to call it.

    Blessed Moonkin

Just when you thought "Mech-Bear-Cat" was weird enough.

Just a concept I thought of earlier. I'm not sure whether its statline is balanced, what do you think?

    Shaman Cards

    Bluegill Shaman

As proven by the Siltfin Spiritwalker, anyone can be a Shaman, even this guy, who just calls to the elements by yelling, "Mrgrlgrrlrgrlglglrrlrlrgrlrgr!"

A turn one Murloc for Shaman. Yes, it is a copy of Loot Hoarder, but it is a Murloc, costs 1 less mana, and has Overload: (1).

    Coldlight Chieftain

Raise your flippers to the skies!

Technically, the Shaman's version of Tundra Rhino, but for Murlocs. Yes, it is a copy of it, but, like Bluegill Shaman, costs 1 less mana, and hass Overload: (1). I am thinking of making this a 4 mana 2/3 (or 2/4) and available to all classes.

    Moh Shuvuu

She used to be a harpy taking on a human disguise to seduce and eat wary travelers. Now, she's grown too attached to her human side and she just wants to play.

    Summon: Hi there!

    Attack: Let's play!

Based on Moh Shuvuu from Shin Megami Tensei.

She's the child of the Sunfury Protector and Windspeaker in that she gives adjacent minions Windfury. I feel that a 6-mana 4/4 is balanced for this effect.

    Rogue Cards

    Defias Recruiter

How does one go about recruiting members for the Defias? Propaganda, and putting guns onto the head of people.

    Summon: Join, or die.

    Attack: For the brotherhood.

The minion form of Gang Up, with an added twist. Meant for Mill Rogue. It might be OP, though, so please let me know if this is the case.

    Poisoner

His poisons are among the most popular among undead rogues, apothecaries, Mad Scientists, Patient Assassins and even Emperor Cobras and Maexxna.

Summon: They'll never know until it's too late.

    Attack: Hehehehehehehe...

It had to happen. A Rogue card that gives the weapon 'Destroy any minion damaged by this weapon.' Might be OP, though, but I'm not sure.

    Hunter Cards

    Flak Cannon

Hunters may need a license to use weaponry like this.

Yes, I recognize this card may be out-of-WoW lore (depends if dwarves, goblins or gnomes invented flak cannons yet), but this was a pretty cool concept I came up with.

    "But it's a hunter card."

Yes, it's a hunter card, but it's not for those hunters that are considered cancer, but rather, for the Control Hunter that was born (if I recall) from Steamwheedle Sniper and benefits the most Feign Death.

    Warlock Cards

    Impmeister

    Imp Trickster:

These impmeisters are pimp. They either have a Doomguard bodyguard, or two Succubus girlfriends.

Summon: Can't we all just get along?

    Attack: Ugh, sheesh!

This card is designed to counteract the downsides of SoulfireSuccubus and Doomguard. The imps are basically Worthless Imps that will die for you when you need to discard a card.

    Some scenarios involving Imp Tricksters:

-You play a Succubus while you have two Imp Tricksters. A random Imp Trickster gets discarded instead of a random card. Likewise, you play Doomguard instead of Succubus. In this case, BOTH imps get discarded.

-But what if you only have ONE Imp Trickster when you play a Doomguard? The imp and one random card from your hand get discarded.

-However, when you play Deathwing, any Imp Trickster plus all other cards in your hand get discarded. In other words, when you play Deathwing, the Imp Tricksters won't save your hand.

    Neutral Cards

    Yuki Usagi Shrine Keeper

She runs one of Azeroth's best pasta chains. Her chain has branches in Stormwind, Khaz Modan, Gilneas, Shattrath, Darnassus, Gnomeregan, Orgrimmar, Mulgore, Echo Isles, Silvermoon, Plaguelands, Kezan, Northrend and, recently, Pandaria. She's thinking about expanding into Naxxramas, Blackrock Mountain, Karazhan, Ulduar and even Outland.

Summon: I'll do what I can.

    Attack: Don't underestimate me.

Yes, it's out of lore, but, like Flak Cannon above, it is a concept worth sharing.

It's a 3-mana 2/4 that makes a card into a Faerie Dragon, a Laughing Sister, a Spectral Knight or an Arcane Nullifier X-21. May be a bit OP or should be a class card (do not know what class benefits from it best), but I considered that Spectral Knight is one stat below the optimal stat line for 5 mana (5/6 or 4/7), and Arcane Nullifier X-21 is one stat below Sen'jin Shieldmasta.

    Harpie Channeler

She wants you to DPS very, very slowly. And by slowly, I mean REAL slow. If you know what I mean.

    Summon: Here be dragons.

Attack: Ha ha ha ha ha!

    Yes, she's a Yu-Gi-Oh! card.

She's a neutral Unstable Portal for Dragons, hence, why she costs 6 Mana and why her statline is at 4 Mana.

    Anduin Lothar

One would think it would be awkward to play this against Alleria Windrunner. Or against Anduin Wrynn.

Summon: In the name of the Alliance.

    Attack: Begone, foul beast!

It's like Pint-Sized Summoner, except instead of reducing the Mana Cost of the first minion, it gives the first minion Charge.

I originally had that idea as an out-of-WoW-lore card by the name of Rise Kujikawa, and I decided to use her Spotlight Leader Skill from Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth as an ability. The result was "The first minion you play each turn gains Charge," and I decided a WoW character can use that. I ended up using Anduin Lothar because I was listening to heroic music while making this.

    Miscellaneous

    Megidolaon

    This spell is Megidolaon awesome!

Yes, this is from the (Shin) Megami Tensei series of games (particularly the Persona series). But I love the Persona series [and by series, I mean Persona 3 and 4 (and Q)] very much, so sue me.

There are two iterations of this card, one of each belonging to a different class. The first iteration is the exact copy of the MEGA-BLAST!!! card, a card removed from alpha version (as, before Millhouse Manastorm became as he is today, he was a 2-Cost 2/2 with Battlecry: Put a MEGA-BLAST!!! Spell into your hand), albeit only for priests. The second iteration costs 2 less mana, except it's for shamans and, you guessed it, overloads you for 3 mana! Which one is more preferred?

Either way, it has the same flavor text, and it references Persona 4: Dancing All Night (it's bad, but I think the flavor text is Hearthstone-esque).

Why it's in Miscellaneous is because each iteration is for a class, and it's hard to classify where I should put it.

The way I'd nerf Dr. Boom

Many people called Dr. Boom OP, maybe because he was the final nail in War Golem's coffin, or perhaps because he makes trading in the receiving end's favor baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

I reduced him to a 7/6 in order to make the crying War Golem feel less bad kappa. (Maybe I should revert him to a 7/7 or make it a 6/7, let me know.)

That aside, I changed his effect to "At the end of your turn, summon a 1/1 Boom Bot." Meaning, it now takes TWO turns to get the two 1/1 Boom Bots from the original Battlecry, but if this guy survives three or more of your turns, you have more that the two Boom Bots from his original battlecry.

As states in his changed effects, the Boom Bot remains unchanged.

If there are any problems, please do not hesitate to tell me.
