Well, to me it is a sign that a fun hero makes people play it no matter the power level.

posted a message on Is Hearthstone full of anger this holiday season?

I saw some roping and ragequits, but I don't think it was much out of the ordinary.

I just interpreted it positively and thought people are playing while baking, drinking and stuff... makes it easier to believe that :-P

Everbody: "Wow, they are about to anounce tournament mode :-O"
Blizzard: "Look at this weird gimmicky thing for eight players that looks like it is an April Fools joke"

Yes, I am disappointed from what I saw. I actually didn't believe it was real at first.

But the first set cards looks good - so I am still kinda excited.

posted a message on The Coin is The problem

Well, you could've taken the time to google the coin statistics and would've found out that the starting player is in nearly all matchups in a small advantage. But yes, in some matchups it can give an advantage, but a 70% winrate is bs, sorry.

posted a message on What's your favorite class? And what class do you hate the most? (Regardless of the meta)

    By far most favourite: Rogue

I must say I am a bit sad how Rogue became more and more a tempo class (I highly dislike odd Rogue as it is just a boring-play-a-green-card-deck), but I still love the versatility and combos that can be pulled off. Was a big fan of the different miracle Rogues 2016 and 2017. And of course mill Rogue being still my most favourite deck that ever existed.

    Most dislike class: Hunter

I just think it is sad how boring this class always felt. The hero power limits the design space so much that it's either full face or high role gambling decks. Yes, other classes have these decks too, but Hunter is forced into either roles. And therefore I don't hate Hunter, I just don't like to play it, because it feels so limited.

posted a message on Ranked Wild is really boring at rank 7

I didn't see big priest above rank 5. But 40% tempo Mage which brought me to play some Druid again and get a close 70% winrate up to rank 2. But my guts say Reno Mage should handle the mentioned decks quite well, no?
Or just go odd Warrior with Tinkmaster and Gravelsnout Warriors. Works well against all three decks as well. If it wasn't so boring to play after a while, I would still do it to make them suffer (but I didn't find the big priests anyways, so there was no real point).

    Quote from BruceSaidit >>

He's in my Mech-a-Thun Warlock deck - and he definitely is the reason I can beat big priest regularly (when I draw him).

Yep, I use him too in my favourite version of Mechathun Warlock. It is the fastest one and can be played with Reno in a non-highlander deck.

Okay, it's been seen months now (https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1226619-speed-mctuna-wild-shaman-killer-1) when I was actively playing it, but I don't really see a reason why it shouldn't be a strong deck anymore. Maybe the high number of secret Mages is problematic.

posted a message on Hearthstone caster Cora has become a new Associate Game Designer!

I don't care about their achievements too much. I watched streams of both and I listened to what they had to say when casting. And on Kibler's stream I witnesses misplays regularly, maybe once on Cora's. It might be that Kibler is not fully focussed when streaming, but the information I got brought me to the conclusion that Cora is the better player. Especially her skill to cast (filling time with a lot of talking) and still being able to think several turns ahead. There wasn't a tournament when she didn't explain something to her co-caster what they missed and why a play was or even would've been better.

posted a message on Hearthstone caster Cora has become a new Associate Game Designer!

I think this is great news. Together with DrJ she always had the best insight in the game and a lot of on-point commentary (not seldonly seing better plays than the pro playing). Nothing against Sottle, Admirable, L0rinda, Kibler, Frodan, etc. but I always felt like she is the best player among them and I am happy for her bringing those skills into the design team.

posted a message on Warrior draw?

If there was no turn limit there are quite a few possibilities for endless games, so the person who got more time on their hands wins. Doesn't really seem fair, does it?
