AokiNaptune posted a message on Myra RotspringPosted in: Myra RotspringAnother push for Deathrattle Rogue?
Let's look at the card first:
-4/2 = 6 stats. Worth 2.5 mana (vanilla 5-drop has 11 Stats), so the effect has to be worth at least 2.5 mana to be fair which sadly isn't enough nowadays
-Discover a deathrattle minion. Would be ~1 mana ( Journey Below ), amazing as a 3 drop, fair as a 4-drop with just this.
-Choose 1 out of 3 deathrattles. Worth anything between -1 mana (classic minions with negative deathrattles, worst case scenario all 3 discovery options are of this type) and up to +6 mana (Silver Vanguard in a way has Gather Your Party).
OFC Rogue has been getting their own deathrattles, notable are Cursed Castaway and Kobold Illusionist,Sherazin, Corpse Flower would be interesting.
(+)Potentially insane value. Very flexible.
(-) Occasional disastrous low-rolls and puts a dead card into your hand. Somewhat expensive, slow turn 5.
Where does she go?
A perfect fit for recruit/ big rogue (something like that one deck Dane is always playing). A nice flexible tool that also gives you reload.
It probably will not push the deathrattle rogue that Blizzards wants to make work. Roll the Bones is too inconsistent, Lesser Onyx Spellstone is difficult to upgrade. Blightnozzle Crawler seems to be a worse Vilespine Slayer. Maybe more card reveals will make this work?
I would be surprised if odd-rogue ran this, it's somewhat slow. -

davidwizard posted a message on Molten Giant & Mountain Giant to Become Elemental + More Minion ChangesPosted in: NewsThey didn't "swap" card art - they very slightly altered it, which they've done multiple times in the past with other cards.
If you want to make an appeal to logic, it helps to not sound completely hysterical.

Deck_Fiend posted a message on Molten Giant & Mountain Giant to Become Elemental + More Minion ChangesPosted in: Newsagreed. this meta is probably my favourite (that I played at least.. well obviously, LoL) due to the diversity of decks being played, and that all classes have something that works.
Usually there was at least one class each meta that sucked compared to the others. It doesn't seem to be that way now. -

Urungulu posted a message on Molten Giant & Mountain Giant to Become Elemental + More Minion ChangesPosted in: NewsCool little things like these actually show (alongside some good nerfs a while ago), that Blizz is seemingly taking Hearthstone a bit more seriously. I like that, tbh.

Demonxz95 posted a message on Molten Giant & Mountain Giant to Become Elemental + More Minion ChangesPosted in: NewsOn the contrary, I actually believe Wrathion and Chromie should stay untagged as Dragons. When they're in humanoid form, being tagged as a Dragon doesn't make sense. You have perfectly human(oid) looking characters and then seeing the Dragon tag at the bottom just feels very weird to me. Some people who aren't familiar with Warcraft lore might also see these characters for the very first time in Hearthstone and wonder "Why the heck is Wrathion a dragon? That is not a dragon." That and Wrathion's flavor text also makes fun of the fact that he's not a dragon, and making him a dragon would ruin the joke.

Kwakdizzle posted a message on Top 64 Decks From DreamHack Summer 2018Posted in: News"We have a balanced meta now, please dont count the few cards that came from the most recent set, or you'll notice how poor our planning was for this expansion. And whatever you do, DO NOT REALIZE that despite the lack of witchwood cards baku and genn will define and ruin your meta for the next 2 years. Thanks."
This topic has been beaten like a dead horse. It's a GOOD THING that there aren't that many witchwood cards. If there were, that would mean that the expansion would have created an even more powerful meta, powerful enough to eclipse the K&C and KFT cards that are currently in so many decks. Look at the cards. The whole idea was to reset the powerlevel and set the foundation for new mechanics and decktypes. And that is exactly what we have.
Not to mention that Baku and Genn has created many new archteypes and made previously never played cards viable through the even/odd restriction. That's something few people expected and I think that's pretty cool.

Baron_Graves posted a message on nerf Big Game Hunter / BGHPosted in: Card DiscussionIMO the game has been entirely balaned around BGH now with absurdly overbudget 7+ atk minions (now and in the future) that HAVE to compensate for the "danger" of just having too much atk. In this regard, BGH is absolutely the very basis of the entirety of HS's meta (until they shut the damn servers down, nerf it, or just power creep which would be even worse).
But seeing as how the damage was done a long time ago, now the only thing i can't even remotely fathom is how in the actual f*** this card ended up with an mind-blowingly low 0.5 mana deficit (even if it is the HP) from a vanilla 3M 4/3 minion for a barely conditional assassinate that regularly kills things more than twice it's mana cost?
If BGH didn't exist, certain classes would definitely suffer (see the first sentence), but aggro would still do what it does, and control would either run another big minion to do what it did or have more early game, like they do now with the decks that don't run BGH. Beyond offering a bandaid in place of terrible class spells (development error), BGH mostly just succeeds in completely shutting down a lot of fun, interesting, lore-relevant cards that they spend time AND money making.
TL;DR: run Ironforge Rifleman instead of BGH and enjoy your new win rate (they're both dwarves, the comparison is legitimate)

BGH reads: "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its health"
I think this would be a great change to the card.
1) It addresses the problem Kibler pointed out, if Warlock gets giants out early you can still deal with them efficiently.
2) It will still kill most of the current annoying minions like Dr. Boom, Ragnaros, etc.
3) It allows for "shitty, unplayable cards" to at least have a chance. Cards like Mogor, Thermaplugg, The beast, Majordomo to have a chance to be played and not auto-lose when they are dropped.
4) It allows future game design to be based around this card as well. They can introduce bigger minions that will actually see play without fear of dying instantly and losing the game. The cost will be the big minons have lower HP after getting BGH and since it's a 3 mana card they can use other cards to get rid of the creature - not just one 3 mana card that creates a HUGE tempo swing.
What do you guys think? Is this legit?
EDIT: I fucked up...I meant "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its health minus the difference between its attack and health"
But this may be too confusing...I just wanted a way for some of the unplayable creatures to be played

The point of a game is to have fun. If this is how people have fun then so be it. Not everyone can be a great deck builder. A lot of the pros work with people that help build decks for/with them. The fact that they share their refined decks is up to them. People are allowed to have fun however they want, and should be able to do so free of you whining about it.

So you loved miracle, but hated oil rogue because if you don't get your draws you're dead? You mean kinda like Gadgetzan Auctioneer? Sorry, I'm just failing to understand how you loved miracle and hate oil rogue when they're basically the same conceptually.
Cool deck tho, like how you brought a newer control archetype!
