posted a message on Proposed change to BGH - still viable yet leaves future game design open

BGH reads: "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its health"

I think this would be a great change to the card.

    1) It addresses the problem Kibler pointed out, if Warlock gets giants out early you can still deal with them efficiently.

    2) It will still kill most of the current annoying minions like Dr. Boom, Ragnaros, etc.

    3) It allows for "shitty, unplayable cards" to at least have a chance.  Cards like Mogor, Thermaplugg, The beast, Majordomo to have a chance to be played and not auto-lose when they are dropped.

    4) It allows future game design to be based around this card as well.  They can introduce bigger minions that will actually see play without fear of dying instantly and losing the game.  The cost will be the big minons have lower HP after getting BGH and since it's a 3 mana card they can use other cards to get rid of the creature - not just one 3 mana card that creates a HUGE tempo swing.

What do you guys think?  Is this legit?

EDIT: I fucked up...I meant "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its health minus the difference between its attack and health"
But this may be too confusing...I just wanted a way for some of the unplayable creatures to be played

I must be a complete idiot, but if you deal damage equal to somethings health... wouldn't that kill it?

    Quote from WoodDragon »

I have been playing Hearthstone since the beta and not once have I ever been compelled to search the web for a "netdeck" to help me cruise through the rankings. The point of a card game is to come up with your own unique combination of cards and play with them, that is how new decks get discovered and how the meta of these types of games improve. When you have the vast majority of players using clones of pro decks, however, you get a stagnant meta as we have now where people only play the "best deck" of that current ladder season. I don't get how these players gain any joy from what is essentially them being a professional players proxy at best, I mean really when you win with a deck some pro came up with, its almost like you aren't playing at all because so much of the game is how you structure your deck. I am sure some players are content playing whatever the pros do, but it just seems like a terrible idea to me. Your idea isn't winning, a pro's idea is winning for you. I hope this wakes up some of the better players here and gets them to try more innovative decks as I routinely do. This will help diversify the meta and give you an actual sense of accomplishment when you win with a deck you actually had to come up with. Crazy concept right ;)

The point of a game is to have fun.  If this is how people have fun then so be it.  Not everyone can be a great deck builder.  A lot of the pros work with people that help build decks for/with them.  The fact that they share their refined decks is up to them.  People are allowed to have fun however they want, and should be able to do so free of you whining about it.

I was a really huge fan of Miracle Rogue....

last one i tried it was Oil Rogue....i really hated that deck. i  mean i did awesome plays with it too and a lot of wins but it's really draw thing deck type that if you don't got what you really really need, you're dead already,

So you loved miracle, but hated oil rogue because if you don't get your draws you're dead?  You mean kinda like Gadgetzan Auctioneer?  Sorry, I'm just failing to understand how you loved miracle and hate oil rogue when they're basically the same conceptually.

Cool deck tho, like how you brought a newer control archetype!
