    control is much harder in my opinion that playing aggro.

    Aggro: "i have a hand full of small minions that do alot of damage, lets throw everything onto the board and rush face and hope not to be punished. if i run out of cards i can either tap if i am a warlock or i loose the game" 

    control: "i need to make the best decisions for each turn, based on my opponent. i need to make sure i have card draw, while controlling the board and making sure i stay alive, any wrong move can be game deciding, so i better make sure i keep alive till late game and stay focus" 

    And i dont think you understand.....control plays on what to do at each turn, where aggro just tries to kill you as fast as possible. if you put minions down, most likely aggro will not trade or clean up, unless it is taunt. aggro wants you to make the trades mostly as they want to make you waste your turns cleaning their boards. simply saying "i will put down this 4/5 to counter their board of different minions" does not mean they will trade, it means they will still go face unless the 4/5 is threatening lethal or has taunt.  summary, control putting down minions to counter aggro does not always work and saying aggro only goes face is "dumb" is not really representative, to all hearthstone players.  when i put down minion to counter zoolock, the zoolock rushes me faster, so simply it is not always the best thing for control to do. 

    summary i think control require more strategy due to one wrong move could ruin the game for a control deck, where one wrong move for an aggro deck could be recovered from a topdeck or a good draw. 

    im not saying aggro is easy to play, but still control i find personally more difficult and  requires more knowledge or skipping turns and making more difficult decisions.

    HI! :)

    am i the only one who cant wait for the next adventure!!!??? i miss the pvp content in hearthstone as LOE was 7 month ago and we have not seen a new adventure since. i also love adventure with the story, the bosses and the awesome cards. LOE was had soo many cards which were high in quality! Reno, starseeker, brann, keeper of uldaman, tomb pillager etc etc... And the mechanic Discover was a totally game changing thing!

    The meta is pretty interesting, but for standard zoo and aggro seems to be very dominating and i would much love to see some awesome new cards, that would push new directions for the classes :) 

    i reckon the next adventure  would be either  Karazhan/ icecrown due to them being very popular in world of warcraft or a more lighter feeling adventure based around the sea or a pirate theme adventure! 

    so whats your views and cant you wait for the expansion :)

    overall 99% i think standard is the best thing for a long time in hearthstone!

    new sets have a much bigger impact and it is normally more fun. than going against dr boom and all the OP naxx cards. overall i am loving this new mode.

    But i got to say i miss loatheb, belcher and healbot. the games are normally more aggro in standard which arent as great as i hoped for, but still early day hey! 

    cant wait till next adventure and the effect on standard! :P

    i am not going to complain about this deck and say it is "bad" or anything i just want to see if anyone agrees?

    Miracle rogue has mostly been a strong deck even after the nerfs to the leeroy jenkins and auctioneer. people even said these cards are now "Un playable" , but in recent weeks i have found a real big increase on miracle rogues. 

    yes standard is aggroish with decks like zoo and aggro shaman, but i find miracle rogue the most tedious to play against.  a deck that can do between 15-25 damage in 1 turn is insane! what fun is concealing auctioneer and then drawing the leeroy jenkins combo and around 8 cards. not many classes in the current meta can deal with that and i find it really hard to stop. even if i can kill the auctioneer i get screwed the turn after by like 15 damage from hand. 

    i miss Loatheb!!!! this card use to punish decks like this that 15-10 damage in 1 turn, now after  auctioneer is on the board it is very hard to punish miracle rogue or even stop it.   

    even the developers in a recent interview are keeping their "eye" on this deck incase it gets out of control.

    i not saying it is "bad" or the cards are "OP" as i think miracle rogue  is healthy in the game, but not in the amounts i have been seeing.

    whats your views on the current comeback of this deck :)

    posted a message on we will see teaser for the next expansion (adventure) next month?

    as we know the next hearthstone expansion will come in the form of an adventure. in order to complete 3 expansions this year, we can expect the release of the next adventure in august and the next expansion in November/December. so far we have had WOTOGS following the pattern of an April release like blackrock the following year. 

    last year the innkeeper tales and new hero art were released in june and then a teaser was released in July for the "Grand tornument" live stream. 

    we have only had WOTOGS for 2 months, but it does feel like we are expecting something, soon approaching, as we have had no new features (UI, or heros to buy in the shop, or inkeeper tales or news for the expansion) in nearly 2 months, and the meta is not stale, but i thought we would be seeing something new around july?

    so do you recon in the next few weeks we will see teasers for the next expansion?  this is to keep up with the release plans for this year and our cardbacks will soon run out next months, so we are due for a patch.

    whats your ideas?

    Hello :)

    the next adventure is fastly approaching us! and we all know within the next 1 month our card backs that have been added to the game will run out, meaning a patch will be due with updates, cardbacks and hopefully a new adventure!!!! but the real question is...what theme could the next expansion be? in this thread i will be giving my ideas of what possible themes we might be seeing next :D this is juts for fun so i hope you enjoy :D

    themes:  

    THE OLD GODS:

    1: A sea adventure!!! 

    Hearthstone has never done an expansion focused around the sea. yes, whispers of the old god had creatures for the sea and related characters such as pirates, but never have we seen a full blow sea expansion! nagas, pirates, elementals and murlocs could be a pretty nice tie in to year of the kraken. an adventure linked around this theme is possible in the future and it might be coming up next!

    2: throne of the tides:

    linked with the sea and the old gods, this dungeons has old god related servants such as faceless ones and a giant squid monster called OZUMAT. Also there are naga that have not been explored fully in the game, so maybe a throne of the tide expansion, but we have seen a major boss Neptulon, but who knows? 

    3: Ulduar

    Prison of the old god Yogg-saron, this large raid in WOW has never been fully explored in hearthstone. a favorite among all WOW players and even has one of the old gods imprisoned within it, could we see this in the next expansion? Yes with Flame Leviathan, mimiron's head and yogg in already in the game, it seems a little unlikely. but there are dragons, evil giants and natural creatures living in ulduar that have yet to be discovered in hearthstone. 

    THEMES:

    A LIGHTER THEME EXPANSION

    blizzard devs even said we are going to possibly see a lighter theme expansion after the old gods. so r we going to see a lighter theme expansion? who knows......but it is a strong possibility! 

    1: pirate adventure? 

    yes i talked about pirates in the old gods section, but pirates are normally jolly characters and love a good adventure! exploring the seas of azeroth encountering monster and bosses along the way could be a very good "light themed" expansion.   with krakens, murlocs and battling other pirates along the way ,a pirate expansion of the seas of azeroth might be pretty awesome to see :) and who says ozumat might attack the pirates on this adventure which kinks back to he kraken theme and the old gods! (dead mines and booty bay?) 

    2: pandaria

    with jolly pandaria it is possible for an adventure set in the mist? yes we have a lot of pandaria in the game, but who knows?

    THEMES:

    GOING BACK TO WARCRAFT.

    the last adventure we have not seen a raid/ dungeon for warcraft. going back to the roots for this expansion might be a good idea as who doe snot love a good raid? 

    1: Karazhan

    wanted to be an adventure by blizzard devs in the past is it time to see this massive raid as an adventure? with beasts, dragons, demons and the famous Prince Malchezaar as an end boss it would be an EPIC EXPANSION! with plenty of bosses and monsters to be made into card it might not be a bad idea to give people this as a back to root warcraft hearthstone adventure! 

    2: Zul'Gurub

    a troll city, is it time for the trolls to get some love in hearthstone. not seen before, many of the cards and bosses would be completly new to hearthstone and add a pretty cool edge to the game :) 

    3: ICE CROWN!! (HYPE) 

    No need to explain. who does not want the litch king himself (Arthas Menethi) in hearthstone? people have been dreaming about this for years!!! maybe not the ligthest of expansion and similar to Naxx with the monster and dead theme, it still is a strong possibly to release the most wanted adventure in heartshtone.  it is about time???? how knows?????

    Other possible themes:

    -the outlands

    -darkmoon faire 

    conclusion: 

    it is early days. i cant honestly say i have any idea what could possible be coming next, but all i know it is slowly, but surly coming :), i hope i gave a couple of themes to think about and i would love to hear you ideas down below. these are just my ideas so please know that i have no idea what is next, but i hope you liked reading them.

    Hello :)

    this thread is for fun and it is my opinion on the next expansion which would be an adventure and what we could possibility see in the future :) 

    As we know we are getting ever closer to the next adventure for hearthstone. Nearly 2 months ago we got WOTOGS which answered alot of issues that affected alot of the classes (it bought shamans back from the dead!) and it was a pretty amazing expansion. along with this standard mode has rolled in. now the real question is WHAT NEXT HEARTHSTONE????? so i am going to give my opinion and ideas on what each class needs and still lacks/ does not have and what themes we might see :)

    what each class needs( but might get in the next expansion):

    Druid:

    got in last expansion: C'thun cards, beast cards, choose one cards

    What i would like to see in next adventure: 

    1: more beast cards! druid Has so much potential with beasts, but have to use late game beasts from neutral cards. i would like to see a beast card around 5-6 mana for druid. with not many 5-6 mana minions in their class, druid could use another 5-6 mana minion and i would be great if it was a beast!

    2: choose one cards. yes, druid has alot, but these cards are amazing! would love to see some more in the next expansion! 

    3: a 5-6 mana minion! with only 2 in standard i think it would be nice for a decent minion around this mana. 

    4: deathrattle? This is just an idea, but maybe another deathrattle minion would benefit the class. with already having Mounted Raptor it would be interesting to see another deathratte beast in standard mode for this class. 

    hunter:

    Got in last expansion: Beasts, deathrattles 

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure: 

    1: Heals and taunts! this class lacks heals and taunts, as it is seen as an aggro class. i would live to see some Taunts with beast synergy in standard. maybe a heal card could be cool? A heal for hunter could open up the class for control.  just some ideas.

    2: weapons: a hunter should have more tools to hunt right?  with only two weapons in standard, it would be nice to see a new weapon that would "battlecry: give a random friendly  beast +2/+2" or "deathrattle: summon a 1/1 hound" or something!  these are just ideas, but new weapon would be nice! 

    3: carrying on with deathrattles and beasts. this class is a perfect deathrattle and beast machine!, but some more defensive beasts could be nice to see in the future :) (heals and taunts)

    Mage:

    what they got in last expansion: many powerful spells (Cabalist's Tome), board clears, c'thun synergy , strong board minions (Faceless Summoner

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure: 

    1: spell damage! some more synergy with spell damage would be nice! new decks would be made if there was a card which gained +3/+3 if you control a spell damage minion, or a minion that gains spell damage for each card in your hand. for a class that has mostly spells, it would be pretty awesome to see what they could do with a strong spell damage minion or cards that linked to spell damage. 

    2: heals spell/ more Armour spells? this is not warrior, but with Ice Barrier and Ice Block being this classes only chance for defense, it would Amazing to have a control/ defensive card to live a bit longer in a game.

    3: freezing minions: a smaller costing minion that freezes things? yes we had Snowchugger, but now we are in standard a bigger or smaller minion that can freeze things would be nice! maybe 1 mana minion? or a 7 mana minion for the class? what now a 1/2 or 2/1 minion that can freeze things??!! it would be nice and open freezing decks up for the class to try more of!

    Paladin

    what it got in the last expansion: murloc, heals, divine shields 

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure: 

    1: deathrattles! yes! it is true, N'Zoth paladin in a great deck and another deathrattle would not go a miss! a 2 mana deathrattle would be good as paladin only has one 2-drop in standard and another 2 drop would be much needed as paladins, we relie alot on using 2 drops from neutral set (which is fine), but another 2 drop would work well i think! And of coarse a lower cost deathrattle for the class! 

    2:taunt: apart for Tirion this class has no other taunts in standard! 

    3: divine shield: this is what i am talking about! i would love another divine shield minion for this class or even a spell that has synergy! i love this new theme with paladins, but i think we need some more cards that can help in making this a thing :) 

    4: murlocs: maybe a 5/4 murloc for mana with divine shield? just a better murloc, plz with a class with so much synergy, it only has 2 class murlocs, and 1 of them is only a 1/3! 

    Priest:  

    what it got in the last expansion:  Heals, buffs, 4 drop, c'thun cards

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure:

    1: 3 and 2 drops! this class has only one 3 drop in standard and it is an epic! a common 3 drop or even a rare that is descent would be Awesome! a 3/4 or 4/3 would be great!

    2: Another class dragon? this class has already make dragon decks a thing! why not introduce a 3 drop dragon or a 6 drop dragon or another dragon all together?

    Rogue 

    what it got in the last expansion: combo, removal, draw and c'thun card

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure:

    1: more combo cards! We have not got alot of new combo cards in the last 2 expansion and i think it is about time we should get a new one :)

    2; 6 mana minion?  i might be missing something, but rogue only has two 6 mana cards and both only see a small amount of play (Kidnapper and Thistle Tea) how about a strong combo 6 drop or a deathrattle 6 drop or a good stated 6 drop? plz blizzard  

    3; more deathrattle cards: yes got to say i love these deathrattle cards! need them XD more would be Great!

    4: coin cards? with already coin giving cards in this class, why not add some more? they seem to work like a charm!

     Shamans:

    what it got in the last expansion:  heal ( Hallazeal), taunt, big minion, overload cards, Evolve!

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure:

    1: murlocs! what happened to class murlocs for shamans? they got Everyfin is Awesome and no new class murlocs in 4 expansions? they need a new class murloc! it is about time as murloc shaman is standard is dead! RIP Murloc

    2: a new class totem: Yes i would like to see a new totem, not something really strong like Totem Golem, but a new totem would we really cool! with Thing from Below being really good, it could be nice to see a new totem!

    3:battlecry cards: withRumbling Elemental i though shamans would get more and more battlecry cards, but it seems like they have got not any really good battlecry cards that can fit into everydeck in the last expansion (yes Master of Evolution and Eternal Sentinel, but i mean something more basic good battlecry cards) maybe battlecry draw a card for each totem you control? something cool like that!

    warlocks:

    what it got in the last expansion:  zoo cards (Darkshire Councilman), deathrattles, c'thun synergy, cool spells

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure:

    1: more cards like Renounce Darkness! what a super fun card! if there was a minion who could do a similar effect on maybe one of the warlock cards in your hand! o boy that would be fun!

    2: demons! standard lost Voidcaller, and therefore demon decks lost there edge. without any new demons in the last 2 expansion! i think standard needs some demon love! 

    3:a better discard card: discard might not be the best mechanic in the game, but if there was a better card supporting this it would be FUN! maybe if you discard a certain minion it summons it with +1/+1? 

    Warrior 

    what it got in the last expansion:  taunt, pirates, enrage, c'thun synergy 

    what i would like to see in the next Adventure:

    1: Pirates! never thought i would be saying this, but pirates warrior is a pretty cool thing! and can become stronger with some more pirates! 

    2: dragons: warrior has dragon synergy (Alexstrasza's Champion) and i think warrior should have a class dragon! maybe based around gaining armor? if mage has a dragon and has no dragon support cards, why cant warrior have one?

    3: taunts! with so much taint synergy and with an epic taunt for the last expansion (Bloodhoof Brave) i am waiting another taunt card which would make me go WOW!

    Conclusion:

    what a wicked expansion WOTOGS was! it really had some amazing cards and some amazing content! i cant wait for the next adventure and i really hope some of these ideas are introduced! or some new ideas! this is just my opinion, but i hope you enjoyed reading :)

    well lets be real....anything can happen...it is blizzard! XD 

    we got LOE which was made up completely with characters that were designed with not any lore from World of Warcraft.  I got to say LOE was by far my favorite expansion! it was amazing! that being said WOTOGS was still a pretty awesome expansion and it is Year of the kraken so it is possible that they will continue of the theme of that. 

    possible themes:

    Sea adventure:  possibly exploring the seas linking into the old gods.maybe murlocs, naga and pirates?

    Throne of the tides: olds gods servants! ozumat and faceless ones (But we seen some of the characters in the pass like neptulon)

    ulduar: massive raid in WOW and prison of yogg saron, onece again we had a lot of the cards in the pass from bosses (vol-tron and flame leviathan), but still pretty awesome to see it still. 

    Ice crown: Maybe? who knows? everytime it is suggested...maybe lucky? ;) 

    and tbh anything could be the next expansion,....guess we will know soon (hopefully) HYPE! :p

    a south sea expansion?

    BTW the next expansion will be out in summer (august) latest, when it is announced is another matter. end of july or maybe early august?

    this is not a rant or a complaint thread this is basically my experiences in hearthstone over the last 2 months since WOTOG and what i have noticed.

    recently i have seen a very dramatic decline in control decks. Before the last expansion control was in a very strong place. Reno from LOE made games last longer and have a lot of meta define skills and plays. all that the meta is now in standard seems to be "shamans, warlocks and c'thun'. 

    myself as a control player is struggling to find a control decks which can lock down the board, as control decks needs to curve out and wait till late game for the advantage, but there is no late game!!!! my reno warrior, renolock, control priest and heal paladin cant seem to last past turn 6 due to the pure perfect curve of aggro. this is my experience, so i dont know what other players have encountered, but i am shock to play over 20 games a day and not see one single variation on control. all i see is aggro.

    i am not saying anything terrible about these decks but what happened to control?!!!??? People say it is still playable, but i ensure you it is much harder to win a game than spamming out 1- and 2- drops in warlock. or playing a 7/7 on turn 4. 

    standard casual seems to be 90% aggro decks....which ask the question......Why did control die out? i guess its because of big game hunter now costing 5 mana, alot of aggro cards were introduced in WOTOG and heal bots and belchers left standard. 

    whispers of the old gods aggro cards: Flamewreathed Faceless, Master of Evolution, Evolve, Fiery Bat, Cult Sorcerer, Faceless Summoner, Possessed Villager, Darkshire Councilman, thing from bellow ALL THESE CARDS ARE PRETTY MUCH AMAZING!

    whisper of the old god heal cards: Cult Apothecary (too slow and a much worse healbot. gets no value unless playing against aggro decks, which then take the advantage),

    Darkshire Alchemist (best heal in expansion!!!, sadly on for priest) 

    Forbidden Healing (cool card, but give up a turn to heal against an aggro deck could be a mistake and only for pally) 

    whispers of the old god taunts:  Thing from Below (good taunt!!!, but more used for aggro than defense) 

    Squirming Tentacle,Infested Tauren,Psych-o-Tron [/card][card] Bog creeper - all decent, but not strong enough to compete with the aggro cards. some are too late game where the game is already lost and some are just too weak compared to sludge belecher [/card],[card]deathlord which are gone)

    these are no where near all the cards, but in conclusion WOTOG had a lot more aggro tools than control could use. i am not complaining, but i would like to see what cards you would like to see in the next adventure to have Battle aggro :)

    this is just my opinion, but i think LOE was better that WOTOG.

    standard casual is basically who can kill you by turn 5.  shamans with 2 manas 3/4 and 4 manas 7/7 with a taunt that can cost 0 mana!!!!!!!  then comes along hunter with fiery bat and the same aggro tricks, and who can forget zoolock with thhe new and improved 3 mana 1/5 that retks if you cant kill it that turn.

    forget about rank, standard casual is really aggro. played 20 games today and i faced 2 control decks! it was ridiculous! i hate playing aggro and love mid range and control.   it has been a nightmare as control decks cant seem to live long enough against the pure on slaughter. yes in rank, you might get more control decks, but standard casual is just pure 99% the time  aggro.

    LOE had soo many cool cards that were not all aggro, tbh alot promoted control and gimmicks. WOTOG basically is "Hey lets give shaman OP cards, hunter another aggro card, warlocks a sick zoo card and lets just give all the rest of the classes OP c'thun minions as thats fun!"  yes, WOTOG had some awesome cards, but soo many were just soo aggressive and with soo many good control cards gone, the new format meta in casual standard does suck! (my opinion) cant seem to win half the amount with control than i used to. 

    hopefully the next adventure will have some awesome new control cards :) (I HOPE)

    tbh standard is just aggro. 

    you cant escape shamans, warlocks or hunters anywhere, so i am not surprised rank is any different. 

    fun decks are gone. whats fun about playing against the same 4 mana 7/7 3 games in a row!!!! and then jump right into a c'thun deck (dont get my started i will save it for the salty thread) 

    i can suggest trying to play reno deck? or a very defensive deck , but most of the time it does not work.

    maybe try an aggro deck? as aggro is fun!
