I think this singlehandedly makes token treant a tier 1 or tier 2 deck

HighJusticeGrimstoner posted a message on New Legendary Rogue Card Reveal - Myra RotspringPosted in: News"I don't think Rogues can fit this in their decks atm"
People always seem to forget every single set release that new archetypes are a thing pretty frequently. Evaluating cards as though the meta won't change at all has always made people look stupid.

Excuse me for sounding a bit grumpy as I critique some of these effects:
'The Norse Gods' effects are pretty sweet and can probably make some nice combos happen (Val'anyr oh yes) with the right deckbuilding. My gut feeling however is that since it's a 'Start of Game' effect, both can really be abused by aggro/tempo decks (e.g. Egg Druid/Paladin/Hunter for Helya, Jade Druid/Shaman for Odyn) at not enough real cost.
Because of that I would've preferred it if these were Battlecries that only happened later in the game.
I quite like 'The Brood of Deathwing' (would be cool to see Nefarian played again).Though there is a bit of a deckbuilding and strategically drawing and holding onto dragons involved, I don't like how the effect is essentially just 'get a sizable advantage because you drew (lucky)' - would have preferred a more meaningful prerequisite instead of just holding three dragons.
'The Ethereal Twins' are certainly interesting in both their combo potential and their conditions.
However, I think Para's effect can be really polarizing for minion based aggro/tempo decks; since one can manipulate their hand by dumping all their cheap minions until they're just holding Para and a spell, then with the right draw RNG they would have a way to easily fill the board until their cards run out.
My vote goes to 'The High Priests'.
Both are interesting as standalone Legendaries that fit the Priest class well (one 'Benevolent' Priest to contrast with a 'Shadow' Priest) thematically, yet together their effects complement one another quite elegantly.
Though Vel'noir would probably get comboed with Circle of Healing more often than with this counterpart, there's still plenty of set-up required to pull off a total clear- whether that's bumping your small minions into their larger ones, or throwing in a Spirit Lash.
Man I want Cho'Gall for a four-player Tavern Brawl haha.

fordagame posted a message on A Witchy Recipe is This Week's Brawl!Posted in: NewsAt least now I understood in what meta this decks work :). It gave you an interesting idea, how much possible combination are there if somehow ladder is not fulled with thousands agro decks and cubelock. Actually every expansion bring a lot of new decks, but the community is not willing to allow them to exist.

Sabadass posted a message on The Witchwood - Hearthstone's Eighth ExpansionPosted in: GuidesSomething to consider is that this is the first expansion of the new rotation. A bunch is leaving so there is a ton of room for different archetypes to emerge from the new set, but Team 5 also has to consider the remaining sets of the year. This expansion has to set the bar somewhere (it may seem low at this point), but by doing so, they can add additional power into the next set and the set after that. IF the bar is set too high to start with, then the following expansions are going to have to raise the bar even higher which would lead to some ridiculous power creep.
I imagine there is some diagram Team 5 has of stair steps and where they want to power level of each expansion to be. Relative to the Standard Year, they'd want it going up a bit with each expansion. Between each Standard Year, they'd want the step diagrams to be close to the same (give or take). Just my assumption as to how they plan the expansions out.
Whatever the case may actually be, I am stoked for the new expansion to drop and the rotation to hit.

NePlusUltra posted a message on All The Witchwood Expansion and Card Clarifications You May Have MissedPosted in: NewsThe wording is never Battlecry: X, it's Battlecry: gain X. The problem is that without stating it, the minion gains rush but keeps the charge ability, resulting in downright contradiction. You can't have such ambiguity.
It's also just very weird to tie a keyword like rush into a battlecry.

If only Feral Gibberer were a beast, this could be hilariously broken (e.g.Feral Gibberer + Stonetusk Boar)

jsager99 posted a message on New Druid Card Reveal: Ironwood GolemPosted in: NewsI get the hate for this card and people are right that it doesn't fit into any EXISTING druid archetype, but it could be a decent pick for a combo otk druid looking to draw their deck, stall the game with defensive cards and collect their combo pieces. I basically see this as a tar lurker with slightly better late-game value because there is a chance that it can attack, with no drawbacks because most druids today are looking to ramp in the early game and thus rarely curve out lurker.
Also, if Recruit is a powerful effect in some other druid cards, this can provide a defensive tool to protect your more offensive summons.

Many folks seem to have forgotten that magnetic is a thing now. This card + Beryllium Nullifier can cause some potential trouble for your opponent especially if the warrior played the whirlwind weapon on turn 4 or 5 (if everything is played on curve).

Just change the battlecry to rush and remove the extra text. The card would read as:
Charge
Battlecry: Rush
Problem solved.

Buff to DK Rexxar hero power.

Waited 12 hours for this? It's ok I suppose but definitely not worth the unusual wait.

You get a copy of the MOST RECENT card you played. So if you vanish and then play arcane giants, then the shadow card will become an arcane giant because that was the most recent card you played. I don't know if you knew this already or not but your reply makes me believe you don't so my apologies if this is already known to you.
