Redshed2017 posted a message on [200 legend] Dude paladin with complete guidePosted in: [200 legend] Dude paladin with complete guideAs all aggro players will argue and is the general consensus among better players, aggro has a high skill floor compared to control decks, meaning they are a lot easier to pilot even if you are bad, but they still have relatively high skill ceilings. This means that when playing an aggro deck there is a lot more to know then just going face, also known as playing around

Sawsie posted a message on [200 legend] Dude paladin with complete guidePosted in: [200 legend] Dude paladin with complete guideI have a question if you have a moment. I've been piloting the Muzzy version except I had cut two of the Rallying blades for 2x Consecrate at around rank 5 (because of so many mirror/murlocadin matches). Obviously I realize that was a mistake and I'm going to retcon it, but I did have an odd idea I'm testing and would like your opinion on, regarding the mirror matches.
I added in 1xBlood Knight. Because in the mirror matches on turn three there can be as many as 3-4 divine shield mobs up already, and late game if I use steward + Stand or even end up with the Maul that gives Divine shield I can end up with an 18/18 really fast even without the mirror. I'm not entirely sure what to properly cut, in testing I just cut one of my Conc's but I would love to hear your thoughts and anyone else's on the matter.
Bear in mind I know I'm no pro, and am also aware that tech'ing for specific matchups is a no-no, but this feels like a good match to me.Thanks for the guide and input!

Frolic posted a message on [200 legend] Dude paladin with complete guidePosted in: [200 legend] Dude paladin with complete guideI love that you added that you didn't make this deck, came up with the idea, etc. / gave credit to original creators and on top of that put questions like,
- Which cards do we play, and why?
- How is my deck different from the standard dude paladin and why I think it is better.
- The mulligan
- The strategies and the matchups
It helps the person using this deck give them a better understanding, opinion on why you tech this card instead of X card, what to look for during certain match ups, and how to even play against them. Very wonderful guide compared to other people who just post the list of cards and people try and figure it out even tho it is somewhat of a clear view on how to play this deck it gives them a good understanding on higher ranks imo when you should hold onto cards, dont fill the board, save your equality, etc. If anything else is needed I would suggest adding a, "If you dont have this card then you can replace it with this card" for players who dont have all of these cards like possibly tarim aside from that great guide. Would love to see more of these kind of guides that are very descriptive!

I am loving the new expansion 2, but duskbreaker still feels wrong to me. I have faced that a few times on ladder today and most of the time it instantly lost me the game. I do not think that adding duskbreaker to a class that already has good AOE with dragon synergy, which is also the most complained about class for 2-3 months was the right call.

looks solid, but will not work as a 4 drop because of the combo effect, miracle could get it consistently off on turn4 but aggro needs to play it turn 5/6 probably. it also doent really help tempo rogue in the topdecking game because it is combo.

yeah this will not see play unles in very niche scenarios 2/4 for 5 mana is severly overpaying and for 5 mana you can only play 5 mana or less costing minions with it unless you play innervate. unless you can get a good 5 drop or 6 drop with it, which is not that common in druid exept with the jades. will not work in the metagame

ty blizzard for 100 lost games because both of my chain gangs evolved into this

why link the spell to something completely irrelevant for the effect. why elementals? why not something that could be used or synetgizss with quest mage then? I really question the design decicion.

How slow the card is really depends on what you bounce, against tempo and aggro decks it is pretty useless, but that could be said about every late game card that doesnt heal or taunt or interact with your opponents board. But if you can pull of a bounce on a blazecaller vs a midrange deck the swing will most likely be good enough to win you the game.

Al Akir is an interesting card didnt think of it, you can get 12 dmg of in onw turn if you have him stick. but for all the other aditions you mention how reliably can you get more than 1 minion back? and imagine this card becomes a staple card, how likely is it that you get back a valueable minion in the higer ends of competitive play? because that is what holds this card back.
also it is 6 mana, this means you cannot play a high impact card and and grumble on the same turn.

I do not see how it is that op, it doesnt work well with current shaman archtypes, because you want to evolve not bounce minions back to your hand. I also do not see it working with other shaman arch types like control because those cards do not have battle cry, the only thing I see it workig with is jade but then still you would usually get only 1 or 2 jades back, it is also really bad with overload.
EDIT: okay I forgot the elementals but then still how likely is it that you get multiple minions off, and is getting 1 minions bavk to your hand enough? also you can not really choose which minions your opponent kills or not. But i do see some potential in elemental shaman, but probably not op.

On my way to end with zoo priest. :)

Lol mate you cannot rate a deck based on the ranked achieved by the player who is playing it. You can not base anything on it because it simply depends on the amount of time people have in a season to grind and other factors.
