Getting to legend requires a lot of effort no matter what people say. If you look at it statistically it takes about 150 games from rank 5 to legend even with a 60% win-rate. From my experience everyone saying "deck X makes it an easy task" or "I could get to legend if I had no life" have no clue what they are talking about.
When you reach the high ranks (3 through legend) your opponents are almost certainly net-decking and they make very few - if any - mistakes. This means you have to play flawlessly also; and believe me: If there was one OP deck to rule them all then all people would play that deck. As it is I meet tons of different variations of decks on those ranks so the single OP deck is a myth. All decks have counters and sometimes you just meet a lot of counter decks and draw horribly. If we go back to the 60% win-rate deck you will still encounter 5-6 or even 7 game lose streaks on your way to legend (statistically speaking - thankfully it is not guaranteed). Now try going from early rank 2 to late rank 4 over 10 games and keep your concentration. Now that is a task that takes focus - and it is a task you must endure to reach legend rank.
People can use whichever cardback they desire, but the whole "getting to legend is actually easy" thing I find is a load of BS. Put your cards where your mouth is :-)
Hmm... I disagree with most of the ratings. I am not saying that the ratings are that poor, but people seem to forget that specific cards that seem really bad can actually work really well in specific decks :-) Take the corrupted Pagle: Is it a bad card? In some ways yes, but what if you are playing a mill deck? Or what if the mechanic does not trigger, and you win board control? Etc.
Not very original I suppose, but I really look forward to trying dragon decks again! Specifically dragon control warrior and dragon control paladin. With the GVG cards leaving standard the dragons and dragon-synergy cards may be strong enough to make an impact :-)
Great card! I really like it. The power level is very adequate - it will probably see both arena and constructed play, but at the same time it is not OP at all. It probably works best in decks where you need the 1 damage to trigger your own minions - otherwise I would probably prefer the 3/4 taunt.
If you read my post I am saying it will see play in arena primarily. Also you get 3 spells - not one; so it is just like the discover mechanic except you get all three spells :-). In other words it CAN work in constructed reno / fatigue mage decks, where you need as much value as possible, but in tempo decks definitely not - only I never claimed this.
Interesting! The tome is super powerful - at least in arena it will definitely see play. Mage spells are generally awesome, and everyone will want another shot at getting those flamestrikes. Y'shaarj is pretty much only made to "fish" out C'thun in a C'thun deck, but it will be good at that. The Ancient Harbinger is basically a piece of crap. Yes - if it survives it can "fish" out C'thun, but playing a 4/6 on turn 6 means you lose tempo - and it takes immense luck for this card to survive. This will see no play - even in a C'thun deck.
It is not a totally bad card, but the stats are simply too low. A six-drop really needs to be awesome, and this just isn't. I would pick Sylvanas over this any day. It will see play in arena - that is for sure, but the effect would have to be "at the end of your turn" for this to see any ranked play. Also remember the new priest card that clear all 2 power minions.
Another new legendary which will see very limited use. Can you use the bananas for spell synergy as a mage or rogue? Obviously yes, but will you play a 6 mana cost card in a tempo deck? I highly doubt it... I guess it will see some use now where a lot of the "spare part" mechs are leaving standard, but still... it just isn't good enough for 6 mana. Everyone thought Ronin would be super OP and used in every mage deck, but at the higher ranks you very rarely see it. This is basically a cheaper Ronin with less useful spells...
I guess the card has some potential, but honestly I highly doubt it will see ranked play. If your opponent has a full board then yes... you can heal for 14 (28 with Brann), but then those 7 cards on the board will just deal 14+ damage to your hero on the next turn - and you still don't have board control. I think a board clear is pretty much always better...
They are probably saving the card "Corrupted Illidan" for April Fool's. An 8 mana cost 9/7 legendary that summons a 2/1 creature for your opponent when you play a card and comes into play with the battlecry comment "You are prepared!". Oh wait... that was just the next legendary going to be revealed x_X

Sweet card for arena! Decent for control hunter - if that becomes a bigger thing in the new meta :-)

Wow! Those are really interesting. Both may see some use - unlike most of the other cards presented so far :-)
