The Geomancer has come to shake up the competition!

Raising mountains and carving caves, what better friend could a dragon ask for? She'll protect you from any harm with her defensive skills and erode them with raging sandstorms. All your dragon friends will envy your rocking new den carved by the most skilled geomancer.

A reminder of my Geomancer Class

    Basic Set:

The phrase I went for is "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust."

Tanaris Guardian: holy crap this is one strong taunt, basically Bog Creeper for 1 less mana and with -1/-1 but added elemental synergy. This guy would be completely busted in arena and since its in a basic set it would show up often. I would honestly lower the health by 1 at least.
Ashes to Ashes: suuuuuuuuuuper win more card, i dont even know what to compare it to, since nothing like this exists (as far as i can recall right now). Obviously you would have to get this far to even play it, but this gives you so much power when you have board to push on. I dont like it very much.
Tanaris Guardian has the same stat line as Dark Arakkoa, so I thought it would be balanced.
Ashes to Ashes may be a bit of a win more card, but it will have synergies in the future that makes it useful in a control style deck. I'm fine with having a few niche/bad cards in the basic set. If we look at Mind Control, It is extremely powerful when your opponent has a big minion on their field. While Ashes to Ashes only shines when your opponent has multiple big minions and you have minions of your own. Honestly, Twisting Nether would be a stronger card for my Geomancer class then Ashes to Ashes.

    Geomancer Class

The Geomancer class is all about rocks, so you can expect to have a hard time fighting against her. One of her core themes for the Geomancer class is minion buffs. This aspect is reflected in her Hero Power; Fortify. However, I won't be showcasing that right now. What I will be showcasing is her unique Keyword; Blockade.

Blockade minions are summoned to the opponent's side of the field when you play it from your hand. You can use this to muddle their board with useless or hazardous minions. Some Blockade minions aren't meant to be summoned for your opponent, so you have to use clever tricks to summon them to your side instead. Here are two Blockade minions that encompass both aspects.

Boulder is a cheap minion meant to limit the opponent's board size.

Unruly Ankylosaur is an exceptionally powerful minion if you can summon it to your side of the field. It will present a fun challenge to deck builders to find efficient means of summoning it.

Next, I will present three more cards that synergize with Blockade minions.

Smash is a basic card that scales with each enemy minion. This works great with Boulder as you can increase its damage while also limiting their board size.

Ivory Queen encourages the opponent to trade their smaller minions first before attacking with their larger minions. Again you can make use of Boulder to increase its attack.

Therazane is one way of summoning your Blockade minions for yourself.

posted a message on Call to Arms and Murloc Tidecaller vs Knife Juggler interaction

Murloc Tidecaller uses the word "whenever" while Knife Juggler uses the word "after"

This is what is causing Tidecaller to trigger regardless of order; while restricting Knife Juggler to trigger depending on when it is summoned.

Finally figured out how my class is going to work. It was rough trying to figure out a new keyword that didn't feel arbitrary. I now present to you all the Geomancer class:

A short clarification about her Hero Power: It can still be activated when you have no minions, you'll just gain 1 Armor.

    Now on to the cards!

First I'll show off the unique Keyword:

Blockade means that when you play a minion with this Keyword on it, it will be summoned to the opponent's side instead.

The idea is to give your opponent terrible minions they don't want. Eating up their board space or even proving detrimental to their own minions. There are also minions that you would want yourself, but you can't play it because it would be summoned to your opponent's side. So you have to find a way to cleverly work around it (like Recruit cards). Here is an example of each:

I've also designed cards that would synergize with these cards. Minions and spells that scale based on the number of enemy minions, or cards that allow you to cheat out one of these powerful Blockade minions:

I would really appreciate feedback as it is really difficult trying to balance out Blockade minions since there isn't anything to use as a form of reference.

Which one should I go with?

Freezing Trap is a secret that sees play... so the first version is very much power creep and broken.
I made a quick tweak. Would this make it more balanced?

Into your deck is still a LOT more powerful than into their hand, since they might not get that minion back. I'd say an effect like that would have to make it cost (0) instead of 2 less.
If we compare Sap to Recycle, then returning a minion to their deck is worth 4 more mana. If we compare Naughty List to Freezing Trap, they cost the same, but it is made up for by the cost of the affected minion. Freezing Trap increases it by 2, while Naughty List decreases it by 2.

Since Hunter's don't have any weapon buffs, I thought I'd make four of them. Here's my unidentified weapon buff:

I'd feel like it would make the unidentified cards terrible if they didn't get identified in your opening hand (Not during the mulligan phase though.) Imagine if you mulligan away your high-cost cards and you end up with one of your Unidentified Shields. No one would want to have a 6-mana Iron Hide.

I should also point out the text "Gains a bonus effect in your hand" in no way implies it only gains its bonus effect when drawn; otherwise it would be worded "Gains a bonus effect when drawn."

This is what I've got so far; was gonna make an "Unidentified" minion, but decided instead to make an Unidentified Hunter spell that summoned a minion. If Blizzard wants to push this new/weird no-minion Hunter direction, I might as well try to support it.

It would then become "Summon a 5/4 with Charge", "Summon a 5/6 with Taunt", etc. I'm not gonna make an image for the minor text alterations; that would be a way too many cards to submit. The minion tokens are in the spoiler:

What would happen if you happened to get it in your opening hand (or via Swashburglar as another example) and you tried to cast it without the effect added?
Did the developers say it doesn't gain its bonus effect in those situations? I'd imagine it will upgrade as soon as it is added to your hand, regardless if it was added by an effect or started in your hand.

I'm going to try my hand at making an Unidentified card. I tried making a weapon buff for Hunter.
