Not a legend hunter but not going to troll you either.
Firstly, it's about time to remove explosive trap. You won't get much use of it vs control decks and warrior can abuse it too easily. This is why I see higher up hunters use 2 snake traps.
Could also consider dropping UTH for another hunter's mark as well. That'll help especially vs druid.
Warrior will be tricky though without a great aggro start. You aren't a true midrange deck so late game should be when you're about to finish the game vs them. Your health isn't that big a deal since, when the warrior wants t okill you, they'll just Alex/Grom.
Explosive trap really helps against hunter and zoo. I've had games where both classes were stalled because they don't want to trigger the trap. UTH is for synergy for juggler and having one copy is always nice to control the board.
The thing with another snake is once they know that it's snake trap, they'll ignore it and go face. I might try to fit in another hunter's mark though if druid is suddenly getting popular.
I've played about 150-200 hunter games now. Is there really a huge gap between rank 3 and rank 2? I have no problem getting past rank 3 but at rank 2 it gets tough.
I don't have a lot of experience with priest but then again, I recently learned how to play deathrattle hunter pretty fast so I might consider it. The only problem I have with priest is usually, the games are long. I like quick games so hence I chose deathrattle hunter. Should I play Amaz's priest then? The one shown here?
Pretty much the top 2 classes right now in the ladder.
One hard-counter for midrange hunter is backspace but it does terrible against control warrior. I can't really think of any hard-counters for control warrior, it seems to be the new deck that has a chance against anything, kinda like how druid used to be. Thoughts?
I'm loving this deck but I've been stuck at rank 4. I hate to admit but I'm having trouble in the mirror match (the score now is 5 wins, 6 loss) and I'm uncomfortable in mirror matches in general. Warrior is also a difficult matchup (the score now is 3 wins 3 loss). The 3 wins are from ranks 5 and 4 while the losses are from higher ranked warriors.
Here are my changes. Feel free to suggest me what changes I can make.
-1 owl -1 freezing trap (might add a second one due to warrior being the hardest matchup for me) -2 animal companions +1 timber wolf +1 explosive trap (might remove one) +2 loot horders
I'm doing pretty good with everything else at the moment but I'm really struggling with hunter and warrior as they are the top 3 classes right now. Please tell me more details on the mulligans and how I should be approaching the matchups.
Very interesting analysis you had there. I kinda agree with defender argus awkward board positioning sometimes but so far its been working in my favor. One of the weakness to your deck is the lack of taunts except taunt totem and alakir and just as you said, taunting totems can help tank damage, especially against aggro. I also know how to play around BGH and TBK so no worries there. Though I'd love to fit in even one earthern ring just because of the health gain and a nice 3 minion to boot But not sure what is the best card to get rid of for the change.
If my shaman build fails me at one point I'd definitely give this shaman variation a shot at it. Currently siting at rank 7 and my build is a generic variation of most shamans.
Hey Kelezste, congratz on reaching legend with your shaman version. I'm planning to reach legend at some point with shaman and get the golden portrait as long term goal (dem golden totems <3).
I have 2 questions, how come no defender of arguses? Since you have alextraza, I don't think the earthern rings are too necessary imo. In fact, I would just remove the 2 and add in 2 arguses instead. Even without running argent squires, arguses have a lot of value with totems.
Are 2 mana tide totems really that helpful? I like your reasoning with running 2 and definitely strong against control and sometimes midrange but during aggro, you may want to use that 3 mana elsewhere unless you have absolutely nothing to play and although they are nice psuedo taunts and removal bait, 2 seems too slow imo and has more potential to become dead cards than arguses. Thoughts?
I haven't tested this in ranked yet but I have to completely agree that this deck can really suffer from rush and even some aggro decks. MotW and DotC are the only ones that give taunt early on and AoW is just too slow. I'm thinking maybe this deck can fit in 2 sunfury protectors to replace bloodmage and loot horder (for the sake of keeping the theme of this deck the same but getting rid of 2 card draw really sucks as well).
I like your reasoning with Alexstrasza, I can definitely recall some games where I had trouble finishing the game with druids. But is she really a good card in the current meta? From my POV, it shifted more favourably for aggro decks again because of the nerf of tink and nat and the nerf of tink motivates for some more BGH. Any thoughts?
EDIT: Plus, the addition of getting gold heroes seem to have motivated for fast decks as well.
Hey Flood, been a while and a nice deck list as usual. Assuming you played this deck yourself before, can you tell me some advices on how to properly utilize wild pyromancer? I've seen him being run in some druid decks and I know he is good against aggro/rush decks but I haven't used him in any of my druid decks yet. Tell me some examples and stories about him.

D'aww someone's upset that hunters been preventing you to get legend :)

Here is the deck I'm using, it's pretty much a variance of knife juggler hunter
Title says all, looping around rank 2 and 3. I usually have trouble with warrior and druid the most. Any legend hunters around here give me advice?

Hey, can you change my name to GhostMarine?
Thanks in advance.

Ah opps, forgot about our previous feral spirit lol.
What's your opinion in argent squires, stormforge axe and doomhammer (common cards in shaman these days). I run only a single argent and stormforge.
The single argent squire is the synergy with flametongue and argus for a little push on board and stormforge to deal with aggro.

Would you say 2 wild pyros are a lot better than 2 sunfury protectors when dealing with aggro?
