Best brawl, where skill actually matters.  The people who think this is an RNG fiesta don't understand this game.  Probably the most skill-required brawl, if you actually spend a minute to think about it.

Eh, couldn't be more wrong.  This brawl is one of the most skill- oriented brawls.  Obviously RNG is a factor, but choosing greed vs tempo, knowing some of the opponents deck, winning board control, etc. It's all in there.

If you struggle in this brawl, you will struggle in arena.  You also probably blame your losses on RNG and not realizing the mistakes you are making.

This brawl is fantastic and my favorite by far.  The only thing that sucks about it is that the games are long.

My God this is so much stronger than the other quests.  Easier to achieve and a better reward.

I can't say if this will break the meta (although anyone who plays the solo content knows how strong this effect is), but the difference in power of the quests revealed so far is pretty stark.

Auto-include for any quest deck.  Offsets the lost card/mulligan from the quest opening hand.

So, will see play if quests see play.  From the first two quests shown, I'm not really high on quests just yet.

A good card to draw from a discover mechanic when you know you need to flip the game.

Losing the 7/5 body but no longer susceptible to silence, it wouldn't surprise me to see it have some play.  A good Oh S#$! card, although my guess is that (likely) not having a board after it's done is gonna make it too weak.

can i already put Supreme archeology in the worst legendary of the set slot?
I know its early to rate cards but in my opinion it wont see much play.

I kinda agree, even knowing that Plot Twist exists.  The payoff is pretty weak, as we saw from Barnabus.  This is even worse because it only works on cards from your hero power, not the cards drawn at the start of the turn, and you don't even get the 5 mana 8/8.

But losing card advantage from drawing/playing the quest, iddling around with Plot Twists to lose tempo, and stalling to the end game, needs a bigger payoff than this hero power.  My hunch, or at least one saving possibility, is an OTK combo where you are able to get a card put back into the deck, draw it at 0 cost, then OTK off of it.  Of course, if you can do that and slog to the end game consistently, there's probably better ways to win the game...

Jar Dealer = New (arguably stronger or weaker) Fire Fly...?

Way to take a stand there, man!

Was thinking it is OBSCENELY VARIABLE on the given "random 1 drop"...roughly like 56 of them you could get so...lol, I am curious to see how strong that card is/becomes :)

Weaker IMO.  1/1 body vs a 1/2 body.  Battlecry vs Deathrattle.  No tribe.  The backside is probably/barely better than a 1/2... maybe?  But because it is so RNG it can't be counted on.  Better than Ravencaller though, lol

Er... the idea is that you pick the class that best suits your playstyle.  No aggro player would pick priest, and no control player would pick Hunter.  Classes shouldn't be able to do everything; having an identity is good.  Your not "forced" into anything, unless you did a bad choice of picking your class to begin with.

    >be me

    >play control hunter

I still have my Reno Hunter deck.  Was great back a year or so ago when Hunter was entirely aggro so control decks would totally misplay you in the first 5 or 6 turns and waste their removal.  Now that Hunter is more slow and tempo oriented, it doesn't work as well.

The highest I ever got in ranked was years ago with a Kel'Thuzad deathrattle hunter deck when Whispers of the Old Gods came out.  I got far in ranked more because I had time to play the game rather than the deck being good, but it had an insane 80% win rate up to rank 3, but then the month ended and back to rank 16 :(.

In my opinion, the developers should never have laid down these 'Class Breakdowns". It is only going to come back and bite them in the rear! Some of these identities already don't really make sense in the context of the nerfs they've already done. Druid has Mana Generation as a strength, yet 3 of the Standard and Classic mana generation cards (Wild Growth, Innervate, and Nourish) have been nerfed already. Again, just my opinion here, but they should just focus on making balanced cards to make the game fun. Class identity should of course be a consideration, but NOT a limitation!

I don't think anything they said was really groundbreaking.  Once you've played this game a few months it's pretty obvious what the class identities and weaknesses are supposed to be.  I do agree there's going to be some backlash, though, but there's backlash with anything Blizz posts (or doesn't post).  I rather they speak more than less, so anything they give is good.

Do note that they nerfed those Druid cards, not Hall of Famed them, because they still fit the identity; they were already too strong for the classic set such that no other cards could be printed that would compete with them without being overpowered.  Same reason why they nerfed Fiery War Axe to 3 mana, because while Warrior /is/ a weapon class, there was no way they could print a new weapon that would replace War Axe without being insanely OP.  In this case, they are HoF'ing the cards because it just doesn't fit with their identities at all, and allows the class to do things they shouldn't be able to (priests were way worse than rogues here, IMO).

They HoF'd Naturalize, since druids shouldn't be good at killing minions (although Blizz has printed three single-minion removals for Druid so far now).  That, according to Blizz, doesn't fit with their identity.

Nothing is worse than being forced into a particular style of play based off of the class you've chosen. Variety and innovation make the game more interesting, challenging, and FUN!

its the bottom of tier 2 a lot of the hatred is unjustified

The hatred is not about the win rate, it's about how dumb the deck is and how annoying it is to play against.  70% of the matchup is determined before turn 1, with what deck you are playing.  The other 30% is 1. whether they have Barnes turn four and 2.  what minion is pulled from Barnes/Shadow Essence.  There is no skill, variation or anything else about the deck.

Shudderwalk shaman had a terrible win rate and Blizzard still took steps to nerf the deck because people despised playing against the deck.  This is pretty much the similar situation.

The point of the game is to have fun.   If you have fun doing pve adventures, you should buy it.  Is opening 4 packs more fun than a few hours of pve content?

    Quote from crossx1 >>

The season and especially the finale was a fucking travesty.. and GRRM is the only one who can redeem it if he ever gets around to it.

GRRM has his own mess in the books that he wrought upon himself.  Too many characters and plotlines, I worry that completing it is hopeless.  However, maybe after watching the wreck that the final seasons were, it might get him up to the task.

On a side note, has anyone mentioned (here or on another site) how the wildlings were walking like the undead wights on the very final shots of the episode?  And that the shots of them heading North were just a liiittle too long, as if the producers were trying to make a point.  Just the general frame of the shot with them disappearing into a haze amongst the trees was very wight-like.

I mean, at this point anything in the story is possible, so why not foreshadow a return of Jon as the Night King , because... of course.  Just so long as they explain how Jon went from a Stark to the Night King in under 2 episodes.
