Its kind of surprising how few people seem to realize how much this car helps Druids deal with Mages, one of their worst match-ups because of Mirror Entity. It also helps with Midrange Hunters with Freezing Trap. These cards are usually a big problem for Druids because Druids generally have very few "bad" minions that they can bounce back or copy.

Smaller Ancient Watcher with possibility to attack. I think he's little to slow. 2nd turn this, 3rd hero power?

which is absolutely crap. You miss out like two turns and everything after that

If you're running this card you're probably not a tempo deck. This is a heavy control card meant to fight aggro. Control decks tend to hero power a lot early on anyway. Think of control warrior and handlock. Why not get a 2 mana 2/4 for it? I think this card is actually really good and its a shame that people are really underestimating it.

i actually i think this will be an excellent anti aggro card as it allows you to cope with moste current 1 and two drops if u go second.

if u go first though it might be worse.

I can see it work in pala mage warlock.,,(midrangy not zoo/aggro... shaman.. it also allows for more taunt style of decks with sunfury and argent protectors as late game stall...

but overall we have to consider that there are still abouut 100 more cards that might influence this card in some comboish way.

In mage its great because it essentially has 3 attack with the hero power. I think it'll be pretty good in druid too because of that as an alternate play to Wild Growth since you don't always draw it. Although after that druids generally want to stick on curve with other cards and if you draw Wild Growth this card is kind of dead so maybe not.

For the people saying it needs to be 3/4, you do realize that if you're playing a class with a ping hero power it effectively is a 3/4.... It seems like most people here have become waaay too accustomed to the cancer meta. Not everything is about tempo lmao. There are tempo decks, which wont make use of this card, and there are control decks  which will. If you're playing a control deck you're playing for value from a card. You make the most use of your hero power early on and gain control of the game through card advantage. There are no 2/4 2 drops right now and that 1 health makes a huge difference as it trades well with 3/2s and if you're using your hero power with it to kill a 2/3 they cant just kill it with a ping/dude of their own. People are talking about zombie chows and dont seem to realize that while zombie chow is good, you can only have 2 in a deck and it dies the first time it slams its face into a flame imp or knife juggler. Think about it,

I get why people dont think this card is good, it doesnt fit into existing decks. Right now true control decks arent viable and everything on ladder is either temp/aggro, or combo. Decks that play for the long game without a giant combo meant to kill the opponent from really high health just dont see play anymore. I think thats bad for the game and maybe Blizzard thinks the same. Cards like this allow control decks to keep board in check in the turns before board clears and playing big, high value cards like Sylvannas or piloted sky golem. If you are control your deck is not stuffed with a bunch of early minions. You will have some 3 drops in the deck of course but it wont be very significant and in this type of deck pinging off little dudes or healing face is something you WANT TO DO, USING HERO POWER IS NOT A DOWNSIDE IN THIS SITUATION. Its not perfect as the priest hero power is really awkward with this early on but this card is in the right vein and works incredibly well with classes like mage/druid.

It seems Blizzard is trying to encourage people to run higher, greedier mana curves and this card is proof. It seems awful because there arent any decks that greedy left in the meta. But what if maybe, just MAYBE, a deck's win condition didnt revolve around having an OP 3 drop like flamewaker/Imp Gang Boss and tempo. Maybe this expansion wont have the cards necessary to make true control decks viable again, and if that is the case then this card will be useless. But if they do, and higher curves and actual control decks come back, then this will be a big part of them keeping aggro decks in check.  I like that blizzard isnt trying to completely crush aggro with this expansion, if this was a 2/6 or even a 2/5 then it would be OP as shit, Control decks would be able to get so much freaking value out of this card if that was the case. Its funny, when GVG came out blizzard went out of their way to make sure cheap aggro decks were dominant and with the control expansion they are being very careful to keep things balanced. Again IDK; if the type of control decks Im thinking of dont resurface and tempo remains status quo then this card is shit. But remember that they did exist. Remember back when control priest was pretty good in tournaments? They would usually spend the first 3 turns hero powering and come back and win in the late game with cabals, mind control, and Ragnaros.

P.S.- lmao at the idea that the purpose of this card is like ancient watcher where you want to spend resources silencing it for tempo. Its not a tempo card guys wtf.

Its nice too finally see another person who understands the game. It seems like a lot of the stuff people are saying about Argent Watchman are the same things people said about Zombie Chow when it first came out which is somewhat expected with how similar the cards are. I hope that this card will be enough to slow down the game to make all these inspire decks viable

If you have a deck that can essentially ignore the drawback due to being inspired focused, 2/4 is a beast of a 2 drop.  This could be part of the glue that holds an inspire deck together but it needs a lot more than what's been spoiled so far

Not really actually. I'd take a 3/2 or a 2/3 with a positive effect over this without a doubt. Or just an ancient watcher, you know. It's a 4/5 and once it's silenced it's cool and it makes an amazing taunt for the mana cost, this 2/4 garbage you need to use your hero power every time you want to attack with it.

I didn't think they could make a card worse than Coliseum Manager design-wise, but they did it, that's sort of impressive.

Its an anti-aggro card like Zombie Chow. It doesnt need to attack every turn. just to kill little dudes like Leper Gnome and Knife Juggler. skymarshall78 is right. This is the card that will make all these inspire decks work.

I doubt this will see much play. It doesn't even deal with a good deal of 3 drops if you're willing to use your Hero Power on turn 3.

2 damage + 1 damage hero power = actually does kill "a good deal of 3 drops"

Also this card is amazing vs aggro since it has high health and you tend to ping down their 2/1s anyway.

This way you can ping down their 2/1 with your hero power and clean up a Flame Imp or Knife Juggler with the 2/4 and still have a 2/1 which can take out another 3/2! The Value!

Why would I run this over Enhance-o Mechano ? Well I guess I can play both..

The real question is why you would run enhance-o-mechano at all, this is far superior.

Really??   No, wait, I fell into your troll.

Ummmm, what troll?  Are you trying to tell me Enhance-o Mechano is better than this card or am I missing your point?

Enhance-o Mechano is far superior.  It is cheaper, it buffs all other minions rather than one mech, and it is a real game-changer.  +1/+1 to one other mech is nice, but not game-changing.  I guess Clockwork Knight is more reliable, no RNG?  And has better base stats?  In that sense, it is a good card, but not in the same league as Enhance-o Mechano.  (Was this explanation necessary?  Are you sure you're not trolling me?)

If your Enhance-o Mechano has a big impact on your board its probably because you're winning already by A LOT and were most likely going to win anyway.  Plus if you're losing its absolute garbage. 4 mana for a 3/2. That's why Enhance-o Mechano is run in NO high level decks WHATSOEVER. Clockwork Knight is LEAGUES better than Enhance-o Mechano because you don't have to be already winning by a huge margin AND if you're losing, a 5/5 for 5 mana is fair. Obviously if you SERIOUSLY believe that Enhance-o Mechano is a good card, you don't know how the game works.

So in conclusion: They aren't "trolling" you. Enhance-o Mechano is a disgustingly awful card

Cool! midrange mech decks would be really fun to play, it's a really solid card. I could see this in a mech priest.

Probably wont see play in mech priest because Priests already have the Upgraded Repair Bot for their 5 mana mech and that card is signifigantly better than this one.

Oh this will totally replace Fel Reaver for those who still use it in Mech Shaman.

Absolutley not, Fel Reaver is signifigantly stronger than this card. I doubt this card will see play. Maybe a one of in some Mech Shamans but theres no way its going to replace Fel Reaver. It's not unfair enough.

posted a message on Why am I so bad?

I play arena as much as I possibly can, every time I get the gold and occasionally I toss in the 2$ if I'm feeling lucky that day.  I've looked at guides on several different sites and even have this little exe that I enter the card choices into and it tells me their value but with all the reading I've done I still have only 3 arena wins max and that was just 1 time, most of the times I go with 1 or 2 and even occasionally 0.

I've looked at guide after guide, picked the most valuable cards seen good combo cards to play and made sure that I have everything I need in a good deck but end up getting wrecked every time.  I've tried twitch but lately I've just been finding people that are discussing the new stuff instead of playing, playing regular games or are so far into arena that I'm lost when I join in.

Was anyone else like this? Did you turn it around? How? Did something just click? What was it? How did you find it? Please help, I'm tired of wasting money but I don't want to go back to just buying decks.  Could someone point me in the right direction?

Watch Trump's Trump Teachings and iDrafts if you haven't already.

There really helpful to learning how to play well and efficiently.

You underestimate the power of Zombie Chow. The Chow is a vicious beast that EATS Hunters. (Zombie Chow is and ant-aggro card and is a one of in almost every mid-range deck played in high-level competitive play. play.) Its fine even if it isn't in your opening hand because you can sew it in between other cards in a way you wouldn't be able to with a 2 mana card. Plus if you're trading throughout the entire early game you probably don't care about them getting Health anyway. Look at any mid range deck in tournaments. Odds are you will see a chow. In regards to the extra Crackle/Lava Shock, I don't need a second Crackle since the first one is only there for a little bit of burst to kill your opponent at the end. I only need one Lava Shock since the deck doesn't have that much BIG Overload cards so there isn't any point to running a 2 mana deal 2 damage over other better cards.
