So before this you were only in gold and just now coming back to the game or just an average player? Deck looks fun and if you draw the nuts could be formidable but I doubt in Legend ranks it performs well. I'll give it a go later to see how it performs. Good looks tho!
I played vs him last week with Ramp Druid when he was playing it, deck caught me off guard. He ended up with 3 copies of Theotar (his own, stole mine, and Identity Theft). It got down to where I had only two cards left and towards the latter half of the match I felt like he had all the answers and was going to hold me off. I had a Naga Giant on board near the end and was running a Battlegrounds Master that I don't think he saw coming and with 2 cards in my deck left he ended up conceding. I made a Twitch account to make sure it was him and sure enough, it was. Proceeded to watch him lose the next 3 or 4 matches with the deck, he's a salty dude and kind of a dick.
Deck looked fun and definitely something different with all the Dragons and such, it's cool that he plays different ones instead of the same top 3-4 ones. Might give it a try later and see how it goes.
I agree man, this is the most fun I've had in standard in a while. The Quests were a terrible idea and burned me out. It was easy to hit Legend with Warrior Pirate Wild or Hunter Quest but man it was boring and like playing solitaire. Now, there is much more thought and analysis on when to play what and actual board control. As someone who enjoys Control decks, I'm really enjoying this standard meta. Is Guff a little OP? Possibly. As you mentioned later on, Denathrius is the main culprit on a lot of the issues currently in play. Good analysis on this and your later posts in this thread.
Regarding Aggro Druid in Standard, if you can survive early few turns to starfish/clear their board they run out of gas extremely quick. Pretty much by turn 4 or 5 the game is decided, not sure what cards Mouche guy thinks Aggro Druid has access to. There's no Hunter Quick Shot etc. Alas, to each their own but I'm highly enjoying the game right now!
Yeah man he's arguably the best player in the game right now and him not being in World's is a shame. He seems like a really laid back, smart, and mellow dude. Lame that him having all those points and dominating like you said and still not getting in. It is a bummer that OG's like him aren't around too much anymore. I haven't really followed much of the competitive scene lately but watched the past couple weeks and really enjoyed it. Do you mind explaining how one qualifies for Worlds? Also, what do you think Grandmasters will be replaced with?
That final was pretty intense, happy for Blyze to finally get to World's. His Demon Hunter deck was pretty dirty, Bunnyhoopor never stood a chance with Blyze's draw. Bummed that that was the last Grandmaster's, hopefully what they announce to replace it will be as good or better. Personally, I could care less about Lobby Legends or whatever that Battlegrounds mess is.
Some great matches all tourney long. Bunnyhopper had levik dead to rights and still not sure why he didn't play Xyrella to get his health up and prevent the next turn's three curse lethal but props to levik for pulling it out. Habugabu was sooo close to lethal that last match best of 5 with his Hunter. Cool tourney and well broadcasted for the most part, def prefer Lambre over Lorinda.
Apologies for earlier post and the negativity. In reality I’m really hoping this new expansion will shake things up after the last fiasco with all these damn quests. Time will tell!
No it's garbage, why have Primordial Protector when the highest cost spell in the deck is 1 mana?! Curves and whole premise is terrible. I played two games and got rocked, will make something feasible later on when I get off work.
He actually looks pretty legit in game as to opposed to first glance.
Rexxar, Malfurion, Garrosh, and Illidan also aren't too bad it's just tough because either their 1K portraits are better looking or have other cooler looking alternates.
As others have said, great article and quite honestly stuff I would never have noticed or picked up on. Sphere of Sapience and Kel'Thuzad is especially cool. I'd love to see older and darker type expansions and their hidden artwork etc. Keep em' coming!!
Just played 3 Aggro Druids in a row and got wrecked each time, too slow. Love the premise but not sure it can survive until the later turns, limited sample size though.

Stoked for tomorrow, a new day and age! Well, one free of Demon Seed for the foreseeable future.

Sick deck man! Just went 3/3 and crushed the opposition. I actually have a golden Deck of Chaos so was fun to actually put it to use. Thanks!!
