posted a message on To Craft, or not to Craft?

I have been thinking of crafting Aggro Pally with Call to Arms ever since the deck was made; but after the recent nerf, I haven't heard about it. Even still, I lack a few legendaries (Namely Sunkeeper Tarim) that quite a few people call essential to the deck. However, I have 2000+ dust to waste, so I was wondering: Are cards like Divine Favor and Call to Arms still good enough to craft? I mainly use an Aggro Taunt-activator Pally deck, so I was wondering if I should just make these cards to help me out. The thing is, I am worried that these cards are only good in that specific Aggro deck, so I won't be able to fully utilise them. That's why I'm consulting a bunch of random people online with various levels of experience. Seems legit.

posted a message on General deck suggestions for someone that hasn't play in 1+ year

You can't say 'what cards should I craft' especially at a time like this. Key cards from old expansions such as Kazakus for Singleton decks, Sleep with the Fishes, and literally every jade card is going to be rotating out in August (presumably). At this time, there will be the least expansions in standard ever, with only Un'Goro, Frozen Throne, Kobolds & Catacombs and whatever is the next expansion. Ideally, you want to get an idea of 'good cards' at that time, simply because there are just so few cards. I highly recommend crafting mainly from the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion, or any of the 2016 ones. Because if you invest in legendaries from other sets, they will move into wild, and you don't get extra dust for them going into wild (unless you want to play wild, not saying it's a bad thing). Additionally, a lot of key cards got nerfed recently, so unless you main Cube and Controllock (both of which are ridiculously expensive btw), you might want to wait around for a bit before judging.

Additionally, I also had the same issue. I played since The Grand Tournament and then stopped in Wrath of the Old Gods for school reasons. I restarted back in Un'Goro, and all of my good cards and skill were gone. I didn't know what to do for the first few months until I gained traction and a little dust. Coming back to a game as dynamic as this after a year or so is so detrimental; so the only help I have for you is this: find an archetype you want to play. Then, focus on cards that are required for it. Eventually, when you have a good idea of the game, you can begin grinding arena mode. At that point, you don't build decks, you let the community build them for you. When you see something like "New OP deck sfyarlfhubasu" find the good cards, craft them and use it. It sounds dumb, but it's how the game works. It's kinda sad.

    TLDR:

    - Find a deck you like.

    - Focus it.

    - Eventually, begin grinding arena.

    - Take popular decks off the internet.

    - Boom.

By graveyard priest I’m guessing you’re talking about big priest?

Yes. I just think that Graveyard Priest is a better name, and besides, it has a lot of resurrection mechanics, so... yeah

After the nerf coming soon, we will obviously see a metric crap ton of Cudelock and Controllock. In fact, I say that it will be almost as rampant as Razakus Priest was in Frozen Throne days. However, it's not as bad as seeing a netdecked Razakus priest down in rank 20, because of the upcoming ranked changes as well. However, the question I pose is: What decks will reign supreme after the aggro nerf fallout? I put my 2 cents on Murloc Paladin, Graveyard Priest and Big Mage. Murloc Paladin isn't hurt too badly by the nerfs, and Graveyard Priest is the only deck that doesn't lose steam after getting their board cleared. Besides, who doesn't want a 10/10 on turn 4? In addition, Warlock has very little single target removal  (i.e. Siphon Soul), if they even run it. Big Mage just has even more board clears than Warlock, as well as transform and silence mechanics to break through their Voidlords and such.

Any thoughts on this card? Heck, does it even count for the competition?

In preparation for the rotating out of Sleep with the Fishes, of course.

Pretty broken at it is, maybe bump the cost up to 4 mana. Will this be a Demon or a Pirate, tho? I'd lean more towards Pirate, because Warrior doesn't do anything with Demons.
Fair enough, fair enough. I changed him, but I also have a new idea:
Buffed Attack, but increased cost by quite a bit. Now can also be used as reach as well as a board clear.
Has multiple different uses, I think it's quite a utility card, kinda like Tracking. P.S., you will get differing ones, so you won't get three taunts in one discover choice

A very interesting competition, it allows for some unique ideas. This is the first one that came to my mind (I just really like the art though)

    Thoughts? Is it too weak?

posted a message on Broke for Aggro Paladin

I am an F2P player with very few legendaries. I recently got a surge of dust from getting Gruul, so now I have about 1200 dust to waste. As the title says, I really want to craft Aggro Paladin; the issue is that I lack many of the core cards. I am missing:

    Call to Arms

    Knife Juggler

Divine Favor (I dusted this because I thought it was bad before)

    - Litrally all of the Silver Hand Recruit cards (i.e. Level Up!Stand Against Darkness etc.)

    Dirty Rat (IMO pretty expendable)

So, with this all in mind, the question I pose to you is: is it worthwhile for me to grind Aggro Paladin? Or, am I missing so many cards that this deck will be incredibly weak?

P.s. I have seen people with success using this deck without any legendaries, so I might as well try. Call to Arms is ridiculously powerful anyways.

EDIT: Considering the upcoming nerfed next month, I'm split wether or not Aggro Paladin will be good anymore. So now with 1400 dust to splurge, should I try crafting a deck, or just wait for a legendary?

posted a message on F2P Hunter Cheap Climb to 10!

Control is pretty trash in this meta. I have effectively crushed many a control Warlock with cheap face Hunter and Keleseth Rogue;  besides, Bonemare is getting pretty heavily nerfed. And how on EARTH does your logic make sense? "This deck's success shows that aggro decks are everywhere BECAUSE control can 'easily' stomp them". Are you using reverse psychology on yourself?

How do you lose with this deck? Maybe you're just salty because Razakus Priest got nerfed.

posted a message on Will Warrior Ever See the Light Again?
    Quote from WhatAChamp >>

No. Even though it had one of the top meta decks mere months ago, there is absolutely 0% chance that warrior will ever have a T1 or T2 deck again. Five years from now, nobody will even know about the class and nobody will be even playing it in casual. No expansion will cause any improvements or changes whatsoever.

for posts like these i am following you, keep them coming XD
That's not necessarily true. Remember, back before Un'Goro, Priest was Hearthstone's little battle dummy. Now, they're dominating with their own Razakus trash. Hearthstone is such a cyclic game, there's no possible way that the class "will be forgotten and nobody will play them five years from now". I don't know WHAT game you're playing, maybe you're just salty over their domination in the meta recently, but your viewpoint is flawed, and you're essentially flaming at this point.

posted a message on Will Warrior Ever See the Light Again?

We all remember the good old days of Control Warrior when we still had Justicar Trueheart, and we could stall out the match until (A) your opponent ran out of resources or (B) you chipped him down enough to kill him. However, the last couple expansion (Starting with Un'Goro) have completely crushed the very thought of Control Warrior. To compensate, we got Pirate Warrior, which dominated the meta, at least until the Fiery War Axe nerf. That kind of pushed Warrior over the edge and you really don't see much of, if any, control or even aggro warrior anymore. All other classes can out-tempo it, and Mage and Druid can both generate more armour (more efficiently as well) than Warrior. Yes, there has been quite a lot of success with the new pirate warrior, but it's still a tier 3 deck. The closest thing we have seen to the Control Warrior of old is Brian Kibler's Geosculptor Yip deck. So here's the question I propose to you: do you think that control warrior will ever be back? Or do you think that Warrior is just completely doomed, and can never see the face of the meta ever again?

posted a message on Poll: Should HS have more "destroy the enemy hero" cards?

It definitely would make for a very interesting meta, if there were cards that aren't like "Battlecry: Win." but more like cards that hider your opponent so much that you ESSENTIALLY win. Once again, this is synonymous with Rin the First Desciple. I think Hunter or Warrior would actually benefit the most out of these cards if Hunter got a weapon like "If your deck has no minions, at the end of your turn, Summon a random Beast."
