Not really. Anka has salvaged a few games for me here and there, but if Deathwing Dragonlord hits your hand without it, you could just concede and not waste time laddering.
I may actually change the name of this deck to that. The previous version of this deck was great for laddering, but now with Gone Fishin' and Sphere of Sapience, you can lower the weakness of this deck (Dragonlord arriving too soon to your hand).
Give it a try, it's currently crushing wild for me. And there's nothing more fun than slamming an entire board of big ugly dragons down on turn four.
How high did climb with this? How'd it do vs. Quest Hunter/Aggro Paladin/Shadow Priest
Does decent against Quest Hunter and about 60% win rate against Quest Warlock (which is amazing). Great against all Priest decks thus far, but not good against Malygos Druid and Pirate Warrior.
Cool write up. I ran into this deck when I was playing Mozaki Mage. Opponent shit out like 6 dragons on turn 4 or 5. I kept freezing the giant dragon board and between that and the 2 Ice Block ended up winning on turn 8 or 9. Will never forget that game lol
Haha yeah you never forget a board of dragons in your face on turn 4. I've gotten them out even on turn 3 when I have the coin and a Counterfeit Coin.
Thanks for sharing, nice deck. Secret Passage does not shuffle cards into the deck, unfortunately. But it looks like you already have Anka as a backup plan in case you draw Deathwing too early
Thanks, that is good to know! Still very useful card for digging for the Apothecary on turn 5.
Yeah, it's rare that they do. But that is true, unless you can sneak a bit more card draw in after the dragons hit. That way, if they remove Deathwing, Dragonlord, he still pulls more dragons.
I wish I could hear their reaction before they concede. This deck is so fun, and surprisingly effective for laddering fast in wild. You play Necrium Apothecary and win.
When your Apothecary dies, you get an entire board of big scary dragons. I've done it on turn 3, but most of the time, it will happen on turn 4 or 5.

Try the deck. There's plenty of card draw so that's not an issue.

Far from dead. If you want to have fun again, and eat Quest Warlocks, play this deck...
