I never said they were excellent choices but all can be played with some success in any rank before 5; I don't need a recap of viability when you misspoke. You making absolutist statements is why i gave you other aggro decks.
There's only 3 aggro decks, and mech mage is sort of a stretch given how often they resort to a more tempo play with Archmage endings rather than a flooded board with mech warper. Note that zoo only JUST came back and has gone the mech mage route of the 'not quite aggro' with a blasted Mal'Ganis in it (yes Voidcaller.. which is still turn 4 and takes 1-2 turns to 'activate').
There's no other aggro decks in the game.
Not quite.
Shockadin
Aggro spell mage
Hobo-Paladin
Face Rogue
Mech Shaman
Aggro Warrior
And I'm almost certain I'm forgetting some. Before you beckon viability: all of these aggro decks have had or do have a competitive place in this meta or ones previous.
Your final thought took my reply, while the cantrip is most often overwhelmingly effective when you have no clear it is so easy to obstruct i don't see how it can go off unless you just have to worst of luck in a match. I am currently at rank 3, unfortunately my legend comes very late in the season due to alot of time on school, and that is very true-when playing a bad opponent it's often an easy win...
This thread really caught my eye and as i read it seems to be general consensus that this deck is good or even "op", i honestly would like to know what goes wrong because that confuses me. I have not lost a single match to this deck and get very pleased when i see the excessive card draw come down as indicator-it brings a smile to my face. I am a pretty versed player too, not all aggro or control, i prefer to try lots out but i have strayed from trying this deck because it does not seem good in my experience at all. I wish i had actual stats for you all but i know i've faced it 20+ times and not lost one, it's so predictable and you can easily disassemble their silly win-con. Why do you believe its "op"?
That is quite true, but maybe i was not clear enough. My emphasis is not which is a better card in general, but which, given the current meta for mage and druid decks will lead me to craft a more competitive deck with the card i choose. Basically with the release or overall which is the stronger class in this meta. (This does require some speculation on cards like Flamewaker, Hungry Dragon, Chromaggus, Blackwing Corruptor etc.)
I am looking to get other insight into how BRM will affect the competitive edge of certain decks and specifically: mage and druid. I spend more hours researching this game than I'd like to admit, but it is always nice for some fresh perspective--especially when you just cannot decide. So to the point: with the release and the last two wings to come would it be best to craft Cenarius or Archmage Antonidas? My own thoughts are that Flamewaker will be an excellent addition to mage, though a more grindy build that may not even run Archmage Antonidas , but on the other hand Mechmage is still fully viable and arguably stronger in a meta where people are testing new decks. As for druid it has always been a competitive deck, only growing with the addition of Emperor Thaurissan and while other builds claim Cenarius isn't necessary my knowledge has led me to believe otherwise. Please, all thoughts are welcome!
I was thinking the very same as for it's viability in midrange demon-lock. I believe we'll see a very strong deck surface by not having to run otherwise cumbersome anti-aggro minions such as Zombie Chow or even in addition to, while having the added bulk of things such as Hungry Dragon and Volcanic Drake to combo after your demonicwrath

Counterspell and Preparation. Funnily enough Consecration is my favorite in-game but not in this case.

If you play on NA, I love talking strategy and could use some interesting conversation while laddering; if you feel the same feel free to add me!
