It's a card that everyone has access to.
It has tons of counters.
It has tons of synergy.
It rarely swings games.
It can be a key comeback mechanic, though.
It can barely keep you alive to finish the race to lethal.
It is a wonderfully designed card, neither too OP or too weak.
It is a safe craft for veteran and new players alike.
It sounds like you might be a little salty over a loss that featured this card. It's ok, this happens from time to time. Sometimes it gets slapped on to a big magnetic minion and slaps you in the face and takes your lunch money. That's Hearthstone. Doesn't mean the card needs a nerf.

Stop nerfing basic cards and rotating classic ones. Just make a smaller core set with cards you'll never touch again (or rotate the core set every 2 years).
Stop printing cards that literally say "you win the game" (like Mechac'thun, Hakkar, DKs) or give you so much advantage that you literally build the deck around them even if they seem to have an absurd downside(Baku and Genn). Make combos more interactive, Hearthstone is a game about trading Minions, not about playing 3 cards and winning instantly after drawing your whole deck. You once said, after the nerf to Warsong Commander, that combos are fine, as long as they don't instantly win the game, then you did all you could to ignore what you said. I get that the team probably has changed a lot, but that's not a good reason to go back on what you said. Just make card simple, but intresting.
And make the dust system less punishing. At least change commons to give 1/4 of their value like other cards.
PS: make Yogg-Saron a core set card, that's the soul of HS.

How about actual single player PvE rewards. Free packs, dust, random free cards. Anything!
this should be ongoing. Let me play all of the single player dungeon runs over and over. Give rewards beating all 10 challenges. Etc.
Many free to play games give rewards for playing PvE content.

The general problem is a feeling of staleness. Many people-especially people who only recently started playing- only have a few viable decks, because currently every strong deck needs heaps of legendarys and epics. While it's understandable why those cards are so strong, in many cases people lose against the same few decks and can't switch their own decks. So how to counter this?
-A fast mode: while you still play against the same decks, the games will be less drawn out.
- some hidden challenges: what if, in 1 of a 1000 cases you don't meet "worthy opponent" but instead "Hogger"?! A chance based mechanism to find hidden quests, play against hilarious opponents and maybe even earn some cards would be an incentive to keep playing.
-fewer snowbally cards. While in some cases it is fine to have a strong turn, but sometimes the difference in power because of more legendarys (not skill) is grinding.
-Achievments: More goals to look forward to: Up to level 70? Maybe the possibility to gain some common classic cards through leveling?

Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk
just saying that they included it. Also, the game is no longer named Heroes of Warcraft because of the specific reason that they could more freely introduce cards and names. Also, many cards are actually still from the WoW universe.
