...the masses stopped experimenting and settled down to Aggro Pally, Cube, and Spiteful decks.
...most players can't even afford a whole new set of fun decks...
XD
Self-defeating statements are self-defeating! Haha! I love it when ranters slip up and make mistakes like these. It makes the counter argument so easy.
Are you kidding? There is nothing discrepant in my statement. Almost every player can afford at least 1 meta deck. My statement was referring to the fact that almost NO players can afford to experiment with fun decks from every class. And by the way, Aggro Pally is one of the cheapest decks out there. Try putting your thinking cap on next time you post.
If I've noticed anything from these comments it's that the VAST majority of users who love the meta have only been playing HS for a few months. Check their profiles - most started around KFT and Kobolds. Explains a lot when veteran players try to address legitimate issues with the development and direction of the game, and newcomers are too enamored with their new toy that they don't want to understand the reality that the game just isn't fun after you get over the honeymoon stage - and the reason for that is because of poor development. Why do you think Brode and the executive producer jumped ship?
Several times now I've been matched with a legend player at rank 6 - it's getting ridiculous, because I lose every single time and get knocked 1 step further from my goal - rank 5. I know Blizz is a small Indie company, but can we at least get proper matchmaking on a Saturday morning in the USA?
This expansion is terrible. I've been playing since Nax and don't remember a time when the meta became stale quicker than now. I mean, really, it took maybe 2 days before the masses stopped experimenting and settled down to Aggro Pally, Cube, and Spiteful decks. Why? Because the devs dropped the ball on play testing and planning. Plus, to be honest, most players can't even afford a whole new set of fun decks because of how expensive Hearthstone has become. I opened 180 packs after WW and didn't even have the ability to craft every major deck in ranked. It's time for the community to step up and start demanding from Team Five.
Waiting for the inevitable comments about "HearthPwn going to shit" and "Get Fan Created Content off the homepage" from FrodoBagginYa.
Not everyone needs to enjoy every piece of content the site puts out. I know the Esports related articles only entertain a small fragment of our audience but people understand how to skip over stuff they don't care about.
I apologize that the Hearthstone team very rarely gives us stuff that's actually newsworthy about the game, believe me, I wish they were more active like during the beta and early release days. Due to that, sometimes it feels like there's too much of one type of content on the homepage but believe me when I say it, nothing has changed. We've remained pretty static with our "usual articles" for a while now so people can come to expect certain things on certain days. Outside of that, the Blizzard stuff is posted when it makes sense to and then we sometimes get extra stuff we get to share with everyone.
I try my best to space content out so people can read everything if they choose to and not feel absolutely bombarded. It's also important that stuff is staggered so we get people coming back and most importantly hitting multiple timezones so people globally have a reason to check the site again.
Things are going to pick up like crazy when the reveals start next week, and then decks will actually be interesting again so we won't have tons of hateful comments about there being not much innovation and that'll give us extra content to share again.
Good luck to all our finalists from this past week. There's some interesting cards, though we have a severe lack of Pepe.
Sup
Seriously I post "sup" and get downvoted to oblivion, while an admin calls out a site member by name (which I thought was against Heathpwn's guidelines) to talk trash and gets upvoted for it? (Most likely by other admins/accounts created by admins). This is exactly why this site looks so much different than HS reddit and others - the pure toxicity of the admins/community. If you express ANY opinion than theirs, you will be silences. It's love everything that's posted on the site or get out. Because life is that dichotic, right?

These card creation competitions are just too frequent, I feel like every day there's a new post about one of them and only a small, small fraction of traffic to this site are people who participate in them. Can there be a separate section or something for card design roleplay or whatever?

Everybody needs to just chill out - they said they'd address it early this coming week.

Not proud to say it, but I'm late to the Cubelock orgy and figured next expansion is a good time to try it out

are they even trying to create new cards anymore or just shit out the same old with new names?

so far really disappointed with the cards released for Witchwood

Hey everyone,
Saw they're live in Asia, thought it would be today in North America - but it's not working for me. Just me?

HAHAHA not even close - just check HS Reddit - way more informative and literally never experienced toxic banter before like here.

I'd just wait for the next expansion - it's only 2-3 weeks away, hang in there!
