RagingAlphaWalrus posted a message on BixenteHS 300% winrate DRAGON ROGUEPosted in: BixenteHS 300% winrate DRAGON ROGUEFalse advertising. I've only achieved a 200% win rate, and not the 300% that is advertised in the title. I know for a fact this has nothing to do with my skill level, as I usually obtain 600% win rates.
Seriously though, fun deck!

TheRealMalfurion posted a message on shaman shamingPosted in: Standard FormatAre you serious? Do you truly believe Midrange Shaman is hard to play? Have you ever heard of Miracle Rogue, Freeze Mage, Patron Warrior, Mill decks and Control Warrior? What did you expect at ranks 5+? Did you really think your choice of deck would really carry you to Legend? Are you complaining that it takes actual skill to earn you the rank despite your deck's insane winrate (it was 56% at one point with other decks having a 50% average winrate)? I guess you are part of the demographic that 18 decks would be too complicated for (after all you don't need more than 1 deck slot for the strongest deck in the meta, so what is the point, right?) and don't worry Blizzard will always try to have a simple curvestone deck be powerful just so that people like you can win too (I can't guarantee people won't shame you for running it though).
Shaman has been given everything they could need to be good. They run 2 improved Fiery War Axes, 2 1 mana spells that deal 3 damage, 4 AOEs and on top of that have the most insane early game in the game (with Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, Flamewreathed Faceless and Thing from Below). If that wasn't enough after turn 7 you can't afford to let them have any totems because then they punish you for it with Thunder Bluff Valiant. You clear their board? I guess it is time to play 0 mana 5/5 and a few other minions and you are again facing a huge board.
Basically most decks in Hearthstone have some kind of weakness that a few decks can exploit. That ensures that when someone is playing a certain deck even if that becomes too strong, people can just run its counters to beat it. This drops said deck from Tier 1 and the decks you used to counter it become Tier 1 instead and people run decks to counter those. In this ideal scenario we have an ever-changing meta-game that allows the game to remain fresh. Now what do you think happens when a deck is so broken that it doesn't have good counters? That deck remains Tier 1 and this forces people to either run that deck or just accept the situation and play decks that soft-counter this top deck to at least have a chance against (in this way they also make their deck weak to other matchups).
That is the situation right now. Midrange Shaman is stupidly overpowered and it is just a simple curvestone deck. No matter how you try to spin it and make it look like it is not that bad you can't fool people who have played against it. What baffles me is the way Blizzard 'fixed' the problem. Before Karazhan the deck was good, but decks like Zoo could fight it off. Then Blizzard thought that that was unacceptable and introduced Spirit Claws and Maelstrom Portal so that this 'skillful' deck would have even fewer counters. Do you think Malygos Druid would be that good if Midrange Shaman didn't hard counter Zoo? Zoo has been traditionally favored against Druid and if it wasn't so unfavored against Midrange Shaman it would have forced Druid down as well as Midrange Shaman. Do you understand now the Shaman shaming? It is not just about Midrange Shaman, but about the effect that deck has on the game and how stale it has forced it to become.

DadamE posted a message on [Rank 45 Legend] SHAMAN EATERPosted in: [Rank 45 Legend] SHAMAN EATERI like how the title is "Shaman EATER"
then you scroll down to read what makes it a shaman eater and find:
"
***Shaman***
This is actually a pretty fair match-up. Mulligan for Secretkeeper, Kindly Grandmother, Freezing Trap, and Cloaked Huntress. If you have a good hand, sometimes a Quick Shot is a good keep to kill their Tunnel Trogg if you go first.

Hmmm, hope I start facing less as I move up. Went from rank 13-7 very easily with this deck then fought a lot of Dragon Priest and Druid that sent me back to 9. It is a very fun deck and quick games though at least, thanks for reply.

Man, I stopped playing HS for a little over a year and just recently got back into it / the forums.. It's awesome to see you ( DarklingNinja ) are still around making kickass decks!

You'll have a much easier time with Quick Shot if you can get it. The instant 3 damage is actually very helpful. Many games are won with Quick Shot + Hero Power + Kill Shot / Eaglehorn Bow hit. Worst case you can Qucik Shot for removal or just to cycle. It has a ton of utility and burst.

Any advice for beating Dragon Priests with this deck? I'm doing very well with this deck but their taunts + heals make it quite rough and eventually they got board control.

Don't DE Golden Velen !! ( Dust Cost 3600 ) for a regular Legendary!!! ( dust cost 1600 ) Talk about a NET LOSS !!

You posted 2 of your own decks on Hearthpwn for everyone to see ( and asked for feedback on them!!) then complain about people that netdeck? Hyporicitical much. LOLZ.

Obv they are that's why they are gold duh.

Agreed haha, I love it. I play my Gold Rogue w/ full gold cards and fight other non-gold rogue's on the ladder and almost every time they entirely misplay xD

What's worse is you made a thread over it...Yes, that guy was immature and got mad for no reason. However, he clearly got to your head if you not only screenied the convo but posted it on a forum as well lol.

Honestly, I usually play another video game or watch video's while I play Hearthstone on my 2nd monitor haha... Probably why pushing Legend is becoming a PIA for me haha not giving enough attention to the game.
