All 3 winners brought same class for their decks
Edit: Woops pardon me, Thijs used warlock instead of priest
Lets goo new expansion!
5 games of BGs today with all games going 5-8th place. FUCK!
I'm very happy about this change.
They nerf a bad card that hasn't been played in years and is rotating anyway, and we get a good card + 1600/3200/4800 dust in exchange.
Pretty much what's in my mind.
Congrats on your achievement. Meanwhile, my highest rank so far was at D3. Wish me luck on getting legend too!
[...] how should I play without "I WILL CRUSH YOU"? [...]
Why, by telling every opponent to purchase your beard, of course!
You have to look at things in terms of dust.
24.99 for 3100 dust guaranteed and maybe more is about 31 packs
49.99 for 6200 dust is about 62 packs
40 packs are 49.99
15 packs are 19.99
7 packs are 9.99
2 packs are 2.99
31 packs would be 2x15 and1 x 2.99 so $42.99
you can buy a 60 pack bundle for $70 on pc buy on ios mobile or android you can only buy 40 pack bundles.
so you buy a 40 pack 49.99 and a 15 pack at 19.99 and a 7 pack for 9.99 for 6200 at $80
I'm just using the time-tested 100 dust per pack average but your mileage may vary.
From a dust perspective which is 100% guaranteed to never be less than 3100 and 6200 that is still a decent deal if you are buying dust to craft.
I use amazon coins to buy packs and never use anything else so I get a permanent discount of 20% and sometimes as much as 40% if I get coins through promotions but at 20% off both these bundles are $60 for me. which nets me 9300 dust. or 93 packs would cost me $96 after a 20% discount for roughly 9500 dust.
So dust-wise it's $60 or $96 dollars for roughly the same amount of dust.
You have to keep in mind that these bundles are not marketed toward people who want cards in which case you would clearly just buy regular packs. These bundles are marketed to people like me who have every card in the game and purely buy these for a guaranteed chance to get a golden legendary without having to use 3200 dust on it with the upside that even if it's a duplicate I still get 9300 dust for $60 bucks.
Everything in life is relative. People compare the cost of these bundles to a new video game. That's fine but you have to realize they are not the same thing.
Companies charge whatever they can to make a profit and stay in business. You don't have to buy the bundles but its nice to have an option if you want dust or simply want golden cards.
When was the last time you were at a grocery store and said to yourself wow $12.99a lb for a ribeye steak I could buy 13 McDonalds dollar chicken sandwiches for that...this grocery store is a complete ripoff, ill just eat at McDonald's!
I'm at a point in my life where $100 isn't that much money. For some people, $1000 isn't that much money. Stay within your budget and use money wisely and you will be miles ahead of the game.
Blasting people and berating companies adds nothing meaningful to a discussion about the cost of anything.
7.4 orange cards per deck on average if you wonder.
Or said otherwise - 25% of deck cards are legendary.
So - is priest just dead then in standard or am I missing something? No card draw, no win conditions, no good minions, no card or class synergy and a board clear (Condemn (Rank 1)) which is only slightly effective once it's no longer effective. The only intersting card is Xyrella and she's a one-off which you can't reliably draw and need some synergy with other cards to be effective (which are rubbish on their own Desperate Prayer.
I can't understand how the developers believe this game is balanced anymore. Rogue's can literally draw their entire deck by turn 8 with almost no tempo loss, while priest has no card draw at all. Card draw is absolutely fundamental to the game (both resources and options) and should always come at a cost.
What a disappointment - it's just going to be more of the same with (perhaps) an aggro palladin deck in the mix too.
They’re just afraid to make priest proactive and no one has any idea why. 80-90% of cards from EVERY expansion for priest are reactive. And this very design philosophy is what people hate about priest so much.
Priests do, and have always done, and incredible job at surviving 20+ turns, and never doing anything to actually win. They’ll clear board after board after board, and you’ll find yourself in the late game with nothing actually happening.
The class design inherently makes them the most aggravating class to play against. I want priest to be good. I want priest to have a playstyle that isn’t just trying to outvalue. But blizz, for some reason, doesn’t want them to have this option.
People always roll their eyes and complain when shamans get a new archetype, but I find it far more frustrating what they do to priest. Priests never even get an archetype. They just get value, reactive cards that don’t actually do anything. I had hope when I saw shadowform come back, but what do you know, it received no support whatsoever. We’ve been waiting for shadow priest for 6 years, to no avail.
Good riddance to lackeys. One of the worst mechanics in a long time. It has been wonderful sitting there while your opponent takes the longest turns possible to play a bunch of 1-mana stuff that reproduces faster than rabbits.
