I want to keep this short as simple. I started hearthstone at Blackrock mountain, i died to patrion warrior and quited.... and than came back after few months when grand tournament was released. And after many tries, failures, and grinds, i got to legend while seeing mech mage to mill rogues to cubelock. Sevasmios from hearthpwn helped me, he suggested decks, noticed my failures and thought me how to play better, without it, i would be stuck in loop in a children's card game.
but now, im done for ladder grinding forever, i dont care what people play, whats meta and whats not, its over forever. Got it done before new year. also. Happy new year!
if i see hunter, i bet my left testicle, he is going to have a baku granting upgraded hero power and than quest appears.
lmao I agree man. I think we are at the worst state of the wild meta around now. its been like that since the stormwind. before that there were many variety in the wild mode, and I was loving it. I hate the "matchup" meta where you can guess 100% exact deck your opponent will be playing just by looking at his class, and you know if you can win that game or not (like rock paper scissors, except you can see which one is your opponent at the mulligan and your pick was already determined). thats why I kinda left the standard mode before, lacks variety too much to be played in my opinion.
i sometimes meet off meta decks which is like small drop water in a desert. but most of the time, the same stuff. like, 100 matches to get to diamond should be like a gold standard, 100 wins and boom you are done. but in reality it could be 200 or even 500 before you hit it.
I don't care about the extra pack, but i have kept seeing people who already have it in diamond 5.
I have played this game for since black rock mountain, i have never hit legend and i don't want to humiliate myself by using these brain dead net decks to receive the achievement.. 7 years of meta decks, 7 years of trying to have fun, 7 bloody years.
I want to finally end it, i get the legendary card back and that will be the end of the grinding forever.
The thing you complain about is what kept you playing for seven years. Hearthstone is a mediocre and expensive game. There are far better games out there. The reason it kept you playing for years is purely gambling psychology.
The whole game ( rng, matchmaking, draw order) are all part of this and they are all carefully programmed to keep you playing
i have tried few other card games, when i was kid, i was big fan of duel masters and how it worked. i tried the lol version of hearthstone and it felt very clunky to me and i tried duelyst, i tried elder scrolls legends even. but everytime i came back to hearthstone, and it has always pain me in the back that i havent reached legend even once.

I been trying my hardest to withstand the insanity that is literally the whole f*cking game revolving around ONE f*cking deck, there is no originality, no consistency, when the main deck is soo simple that even rng cant f*ck it up and when that happens, we have a problem!
Your comment leads only to one conclusion: there's no such thing as 'RNG'. There's only an A.I. deciding who wins or loses. Explanation: serving a target audience for marketing purposes. It's that cynical. Thinking in terms of skill and strategy is make believe to keep you playing: the next game I'll be better and hopefully win... and if you do remember it's not your skill, it's the A.I grand you that.
Just experiment: after 3 losses in a row stop playing for 10 minutes. The A.I logs that and in other to keep you playing will grant you the next victory. Test it.
im saying that the pirate warrior requires less rng when the deck is soo emptyly simple and there is soo much tutoring from each card interaction, you dingus. if you have bad start, lets say as rogue, you automatically are screwed and have less odds of winning, if pirate warrior has a bad start, it gets easily fixed within 1 turn because you get a weapon, from your quest and cheap piraties ahoi.
So do you want people to play suboptimal decks? People are gonna play the top decks because when you reach diamond 5 it's all about the grind to legend.
I believe you can make optimal decks. its just that the decks that are going, again, are the same. You copy deck from internet and than go to ladder. if i see hunter, i bet my left testicle, he is going to have a baku granting upgraded hero power and than quest appears.

Its not only the matchup, its also obviously the rng, which pirate warrior definitely doesnt have.
