I was really excited to play this new game mode but I was really let down. The game mode is just a dungeon run 2.0 with very little innovation.

The money/gold requirement to buy the whole thing is not worth at all, it's essentially a dungeon run but with the cash grab.

I hope Blizzard will never do another adventure like this cause it sucks so hard, first we had the adventures but we got all the cards and it was actually great, then they made adventures free but without cards and I accepted it. Now you have to pay too to play this shit mode...

Instead of increasing the playable game modes they have been essentially spamming the same mode for the last 3 expansions or so and now behind a "paywall" too. A really bad mode imo.

     I like it

posted a message on Do you guys also find the meta insanely boring?
    Quote from vbalint >>

I had the exact same thought recently. I have all the cards for any decent deck (and by that I mean with a winrate above 45%) and there is not a single one I would want to play.  Repetitive.

I get ya, lost interest pretty quickly this expansion idk why. Probably the amount of unwinnable games bummed me out or something.

What's the problem?  OP reads like, "Elysianna is a problem because I personally don't like long games."

Long games is a thing, 50 card long games is another

posted a message on Poll: Why the hate for Control decks?
    Quote from Tonez >>

Hey guys, Veteran beta player here.

I absolutely love Hearthstone, been playing since open beta, but there is one thing I have observed, but never understood over the years, and that is that the overall player base has slowly and gradually started disliking playing control decks. There have been many versions of control decks through the years: Handlock, Freeze Mage, Control Priest with Thoughtsteal and Mind Control, Justicar Warrior, N'zoth Control Paladin, Deathrattle Control Shaman, Renolock, Grinder Mage,  Raza Priest, just to name a few, to the Control Warrior and Control Shaman of today. I can understand the dislike of playing against uninteractive win conditions of certain control decks such as Freeze Mage and Raza Priest, but why do people dislike playing against value oriented control decks that try to play a longer game? For example, there were much less people complaining about playing against Justicar Warrior or playing that mirror-match in the past, when the fatigue-based matchup was the same as the Odd Warrior issue from last year.

I have also noticed people on ladder more commonly tech for control rather than aggro, such as putting Togwaggle's Scheme into their rogue deck, two copies of Dire Frenzy or Arch-Villain Rafaam in Zoo when aggro is more rampant on ladder.

I understand Archivist Elysiana is a huge factor at the moment, but that card only got implemented in the Year of the Dragon, where this observation has been over the past several years.

So my question is: If you hate playing against control decks, why?

And if you are a control player, Have you been enjoying playing control even with the amount of anti-control tools implemented in the last few years(i.e. Jades, Quest Rogue, Togwaggle, etc)? Or have you personally hated playing against control as well?

I was just curious about the community's view on this observation, as I see many Control Warrior hate posts lately.

Control players were respected back then because resource management was hard and you had some very hard turns. The current iteration of warrior doesn't really have that.

The reason for this is that when strong removal is so overpresent using one is not a particularly hard choice, often an automatic play, and even mistakes get hardly punished. Also fatigue battles have been completely eliminated by the existence of elysiana.

Old odd warrior felt more fair than current control warrior.

    Quote from Zpbridge >>

Because there doesn’t exist any other competitive warlock decks other than Zoo at the moment in the current meta. Who knows maybe there is a sick control lock out there in standard that will pop up in the coming weeks, highly unlikely though

Im working on one, currently at the fifth iteration. If i hit any list that works and manage to get rank 5 ill post it.

posted a message on Pedantic attitude of aggro players
    Quote from Rradogs >>

Manners are a set of expressions, gestures, movements, attitudes, etc., that a person uses to behave in public and with other people, especially according to certain commonly accepted social rules.

Lately, many players have appeared especially when playing aggressive decks behave like eight year old children who spend their time passing with their mouse the hero, ropping and the most common saying Well Played or Thanks to the greeting as a way to brag. I do not understand why those emotes say when their rivals could not or did not do anything significant in the game but I already understand why people ask for auto squelt and that's where the BM comes from.

Is there any way to punish those players for their bad behavior?
    My solutions:
-I chose a card from your rival's collection regardless of the rarity and add it to your collection.
-Lock access to the game for hours
    -Prohibit emotes for hours
    * Depends on the level of toxicity *

What do you think of the BM?

Wow people acting like children in a children card game... That's fucking unheard from, man

posted a message on Nefarian is Too weak in the current iteration

I've played this brawl quite a while, and previously it used to be like Nefarian applies pressure early and tries to finish the game quickly, ragnaros outvalues nefarian in the end so on the long run he should win. The problem is that the average quality of spells has severely worsened in the past years so nefarian is not that good anymore in my opinion, because you can't really apply that much pressure anymore and the spell pool is so large that even highrolly results happen way less often.

I love the brawl, one of my favourites. But nefarian with the current spell pool feels just very weak and clunky. I would have preferred if they left him with the original spell pool he had. Anyone else feels it or is it just me?

It’s not like the best aggro decks run 3-5 legendaries and 4 epics or anything.

Ah right, the very famous 5 legendary aggro deck

posted a message on Nerfs are not the solution- Buffs are.
    Quote from ShadowsOfSense >>

Buffing is not better than nerfing for changing the meta.

Let's say we buff... Betrayal. Nobody plays Betrayal right now, right? So what happens? People test out Betrayal in their Rogue decks, and either it makes the cut, or it doesn't. That's pretty boring.

Let's buff a different card, one for a class not in the meta much right now. I haven't seen a lot of Priest, what happens if we give them a buff? Well, now people try out Priest for a bit, and either it changes the meta up, or it still isn't strong enough to be Tier 1-2. Not much change, and either way the average powerlevel of the game has increased, which isn't good.

Now what happens when we nerf a card? Let's say we nerf Waggle Pick, since that seems to be one of Rogue's strong cards right now. Now we have a lot more interesting developments. First, we need to see how much of a hit this is to Rogue. If Waggle Pick is hit hard enough, what card do you replace it with? Do you need to change up your strategy completely? Then we need to see what Tier 2-3 decks can take advantage of this new drop in Rogue's powerlevel - maybe Zoolock becomes much better now? Or Midrange Hunter? What about Warrior decks, how does this affect them?

In general, nerfing cards creates far more opportunities for change than buffing cards does. Buffing a card means you try out that card; nerfing a card means trying out a bunch of cards to see if they're better than it now.

Honestly if they buff a couple cards sometimes that's enough to push certian archetypes into viability. That can shake up the meta. Like if they gave some combo decks the tools to work that could counter elysiana warrior out of the meta.

When an expansion hits, sometimes archetypes become suddenly viable and they run 2 or 3 new cards.

Ofc it's probably more surefire to just nerf a carf in a dominant archetype so you ate guaranteed to have some decent impact...
