Wow. This game made a trailer for a set and it didn't suck!

Color me impressed for a change. I'm actually looking forward to this.

posted a message on I just need someone to critique this deck..

Replace Ogre Magi with a second Water Elemental. Magi is too high cost as spell power and doesn't trade up with most played 5 drops, so it's a dead card. Elemental's stats for cost + it's ability make it far more valuable. There's a reason for mage it's one of the highest drafted 4-drop commons (alongside Fireball).

I'd also suggest crafting AoE potions and removing at least one Missiles, if not both. Don't play RNG cards like that in this meta, you're just asking for disappointment. Also, replace one Explosion with a second Tempest. Tempests have higher value as they can net you more Fireballs, and since you can't build Miracle Mage that's your best bet to get more face damage out of your deck. That would still leave you quite a bit of dust to sit on (because crafting cards in this game is honestly a waste of time and money).

However, Mirror Image is not a good survival card. At worst, you're better off crafting one Mage Armor. At best, save a bit more dust and craft an Ice Block. If you go the secret route, also craft a fetch and replace Acolyte with that. Better stats + it's a 2-drop.

Been playing since Beta, and I also feel the same. So many decent decks available, a lot diversity and room for experimentation. Even in the top of the competitive ladder there is much more diversity than ever before.

    Good job indeed!

Yes. There's pirates, everything that counters pirates, and nothing else.
    So diverse.
The reason it "seems" so diverse is because the top meta deck has more counter options than it has in the past. But, let's be honest with ourselves here. The meta, as a whole, is 70% aggro, which is just as non-diverse as it's always been.

posted a message on Questscards: would you like new quests in the future?

I would, but I doubt we will anytime soon. Here's the reasons why.

    - The next set will be an adventure, which will likely be based off of some raid or dungeon. This leaves no logical room for quest cards, as that would eat into an already small card pool. As far as class questing goes, your only likely option for a dungeon or raid area that had class quest ties is Dire Maul. Personally, this would make for a great expansion in my opinion (demons, ogres, and elves...what's not to love?), but as previously stated, would eat 9 card slots out of a small card pool.

    - Un'goro made perfect sense for quest cards, because in vanilla WoW, each class had a level 50 "class quest", the majority (if not entirety, I do not recall as I had not played every class) led the character to some challenge in Un'goro Crater. Druid, as an example, had to kill a Devilsaur. Hunters had a level 60 epic quest that led them to slay four demons, one of which was in Un'goro. In essence, Un'goro was a fitting expansion for quest cards because it was the fitting location for many, if not all, classes to unlock their level 50 trinket or level 60 epic weapon (only two classes had access to this), or their class mount (for warlocks and paladins).

    - To put it into context, your next best option for an area similar to this would have been Blackrock Mountain, which has already been used. Another option would be the Plaguelands, but since we've had Naxx as an adventure, I don't see them turning to an undead expansion set in the near future. Your best otion then leaves the current WoW expansion, Legion, with the artifact weapons system and order halls. Since Hearthstone has not delved into anything beyond Cataclysm, however (only Whispers of the Old Gods even mildly delves into Pandaria), a Legion-based expansion seems very unlikely for quite some time. Class quests were ultimately abandoned in Burning Crusade, and were somewhat reintroduced in Wrath of the Lich King with legendaries being class or role specific weapons.

To answer your question of if I'd like to see more, yes. However, I'd also like to see them make sense when introduced. Un'goro delivered that perfectly. There's aren't many other options that would do the same.

Was playing a similar list to this, the main problem is it just gets rekt by a significant portion of the meta (Quest Rogue, Taunt Warrior, Pirates)

Yea but that's true with any priest deck
No it isn't. I can beat Quest Rogue and aggro decks with freaking Quest Priest. Life reset's a b.
Your deck is trying too hard to do I don't even know what. You have Elise, but no way to copy the pack. You have dragons, but your heaviest hitter is Ysera. You have elemental chains without Ozruk. Like, seriously...you took three decent priest deck ideas and took the WORST aspects of all of them and threw it together. And play it in casual mode. And brag about it like you've accomplished something extraordinary. I mean, I play decks I made myself in casual mode, too, but at least they have ONE theme that actually WORKS. Quest mage is fun as all heck, and it's not 8 weak elementals 6 weak dragons and a bunch of other random class cards tossed together.
Funny enough, the last time I commented on this thread, I did face someone crazy enough to try and play your deck. And they got annihilated. Like, it wasn't even close. You're having a "45-55% WR" because you're playing against nobodies at rank 22 and casual tryhards that play netdecks but play them so poorly they're doing the decks a disservice. There's a reason the deck's at a -3 voting. It's bad. The end.

In the nomination for the category of "Deck that's trying too hard to do too many things at once", we have this deck.

Three themes in one deck...I'll pass, thanks.

They're probably going to give us free packs for the inconvenience.

     Of course!
    ...
Remind me again when they ever did that?
He's probably right, because it's not just the Hearthstone servers that are offline. It's the entire Blizzard NA servers. If they gave something just to Hearthstone players, they'd be kinda sticking a middle finger to all of the Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, and HotS players. And they can't conceivably give a sorry package to everyone in ALL of their games.
ANd I'm saying this as someone sitting in a 488 minute queue. That went from >1 minute to that all of a sudden.

"The awesome community members here on HearthPwn created over 300,000 new decks!"

No they didn't. They made 10,000 versions of 30 different decks. Changing 1-2 cards is not a different deck. It's the same deck. At least tell the whole story, and not a half truth.

If you like solo mode buy first wing of BRM and LOE before they leave the store, you'll get the rest later and enjoy the PvE mode, if you're a ladder player take Karazhan it has some cards that can be used in ladder decks for a while

What mean of Solo or ladder player !?
And with that question right there, there stopped being a point to this thread.
Just buy what looks fun, dude.

posted a message on What's the most P2W CCG or TCG you've played?

In my experience, Yu-Gi-Oh! gets it on both fronts. Their more recent online iteration for tablets/smartphones, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generations, definitely falls into a bad place, and worse still it does so very early on in the game's campaign mode. As you progress to the point where you face Ishizu Ishtar, you're beginning to face decks that can quite literally OTK on turn 1. Campaign Mode includes duels against a laddering progression of about 45 or so characters. Ishizu is number 11. So you're one quarter of the way through the PvE mode and running into a brick wall with no way to progress...

...unless you go into PvP mode. In which case, as a bright note, as you continue to lose game after game over and over again, you get a free card for each loss. Booster packs cost 600 "Duel Points" each, each one containing five cards. A win can earn you anywhere from 300-800 Duel Points, based on meeting various conditions. A loss earns you anywhere from 20-100. So, a booster pack can cost you the price of one win, or the price of up to 30 losses. Also, rules don't seem to exist in this game. Cards that I recall being restricted in the past now don't seem to be.

And the physical card game, as many have stated, is almost as bad. Now, the one plus side of course is getting trade bait. If you can manage to pull one of the really amazing cards from a booster, you can get quite a bit for it in return.

posted a message on Which aggro deck was the worst?

The correct answer is zoo. Each of the other decks listed were meta-encompassing for the majority of no more than two expansion periods, at most. Zoo has been a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck since ALPHA. For one aggro deck to manage to survive over two years of a game that's come out with SEVEN expansions...I cannot at any point in any card game I've ever played (of which I have played many) think of one deck design that's actually been that strong for that long of a timeframe with that many card changes being released in the process.

Zoo is the literal definition of cancer. No matter how much kemo or medication Blizzard throws at the game...nothing has yet to kill it. The best the game's managed so far is in the current meta, where warlocks have gone from zoo to Reno control. But, just wait. It's still sitting there, festering, growing and waiting to rise again to make all of us groan in pain and agony when we look across from our mages and druids and warriors tohear "Your soul shall suffer".
