The rankings are definitely unique, I've never seen that happen before to myself or anyone else so think it might just be a visual bug. Also there are never any ties on the top 200 hearthstone ranking

CrusaderRO posted a message on 5 things I would change in hearthstone as a control / combo playerPosted in: General DiscussionThe second and fourth are completely uncalled for. If no card can be reduced below 0, then giants should abide by this rule too.
Visible secrets make them not-so-secret, so this is just your subjective complaint after losing to some secret based decks.
I do agree with the rest though. Too bad blizzard's willingness to truly balance the game is zero. They make too much money from the teenagers' parents' credit cards to remove so much highroll potential from the game.

vNihilism posted a message on The Achievements ruin pack openingPosted in: General DiscussionIt's not just pack openings. Battlegrounds games have the same issue. It's minor but there's no reason OP shouldn't be allowed to share it. It's something the team would look into tweaking, just not high priority.
They should look into achievements in general actually. There are a few other issues, such as several gameplay achievements not tracking properly. I've tried completing a number of Darkmoon gameplay achievements (which award track experience) and they just don't work.

lv426a11 posted a message on The Achievements ruin pack openingPosted in: General DiscussionSo I just opened my tavern brawk pack. It contained cenarius. I knew this before I hovered over any of the cards. Why? Because two awards popped up on my screen - Classic legendary collector and Classic Druid Collector.
Way to go to suck the fun out of pack opening. At least make the awards appear after the cards are opened....
Rant over...

Tarious posted a message on No fun opening Cardpacks anymorePosted in: General DiscussionNothing said exciting more than seeing you got a purple, only to find out that it was not only one that never found its place in the meta, but one you already had 2 copies of, so you have to dust it for 1/4 of the cost of a good purple.

moshimosh posted a message on what the blizzard deck recipes tell you about their understand of the gamePosted in: General Discussion1. They make those decks well before thousands of people test the meta and find optimal compositions
2. They probably low ball some decks so they're not crazy expensive
3. Adding as many new cards as is reasonable to promote the expansion
4. Merely outlining new decks & paradigms to inspire deck creators
Putting the best decks as possible for their recipes isn't the only, nor even their first, consideration. Complaining about everything is sweet n all but use your brains a bit

CakeEater posted a message on Some of you don't deserve what you think you deservePosted in: General DiscussionAll of what follows is my own opinion:
So, I've been around Hearthstone since the beginning, and one thing that's never changed is that any time something costs money, the floodgates open, and a deluge of complaints descend upon every hearthstone forum in existence. I have never understood the juxtapositioning of "I don't want to spend money" with "I want to be competitive." These two philosophies simply do not go together.
This is also true in other forms of competition. If you play tennis, for example, hard work and practice will get you most of the way there, but players who spend on the best rackets, the best shoes, and the best coaching will have a significant advantage over those who do not. My personal belief is that what SOME of these perennial complainers really mean is "I don't want to spend money, but I DESERVE to be competitive." This way of thinking belongs in the trash can with other phrases of the entitled such as "I don't want to study, but deserve an A+" and "I don't want to work, but deserve to be wealthy."
You are NOT entitled to free gaming, and if that's what you desire, there are plenty of games where you can do just that (including some of the game modes of Hearthstone, by the way) not to mention that there are legitimate players who grind daily and DO NOT spend money, but instead sacrifice their time, in order to get what they need to stay competitive.
So, in conclusion, if you don't want to put in the time OR the money, then what are you even complaining about?
TL/DR: You can't be competitive without sacrifice, so if you aren't sacrificing anything, stop complaining about it being unfair.

CookieFamous posted a message on Do these new cards suck?Posted in: General DiscussionWe've seen like 10 cards. Holy shit dude, can't you wait for like a week before judging?
Every expansion consistently:
- has good cards.
- has bad cards.
- has cards in between.
So yes. Some cards will definitely suck ass! Others will be fantastic! Others will surprise you after launch (either direction). Please, please stop it with these nonsense threads.

Sumpfhummel posted a message on Hearthstone is GREAT!Posted in: General DiscussionSince here in the forum to what felt like 90% extremely negative threads haunt around, I would like to emphasize the positive. Hearthstone is the best online card game of all time and I thank blizzard for constantly adding to it and giving us a nice change in life. That's really great.

If I understand this correctly, it works this way:
If you draw 5 cards with Secret Passage, and then play a card that copies cards in your hand, for example Elise the Enlightened, the copies created by Elise are no longer shuffled back into your deck.

It has not been announced officially yet, so those things can very well change before they release it.

Ay I don't like the Battlegrounds reset. I've spent months slowly, but steadily gaining points, and now all that progress will be gone? I'll probably stop playing BG then.

Everyone here acting like they know exactly what's coming, but they don't.
A progression system in itself sounds better than quests, because you can play every mode and earn rewards for it. Even BH (hopefully). All they need to do right now, is to give it good rewards, and not make it too time-consuming. They haven't announced anything specific about these two things, so we can't and shouldn't say bad things about the new feature like everyone here is doing.
That spreadsheet they sent out with the rewards is in no way final. It's ok to say bad things about that sheet, but they are likely to change, so you can't know that what they'll implement in a few months in decreasing f2p experience.

You got voted down because you misinterpreted what Bilzzard said and therefore gave false information in your post.
Right after the patch the full dust fund got active and this stays active until the 28th of July. So until the 28th you can dust them for full value. It doesn't start on the 28th, but it ends on the 28th.

Do you have a single post where You aren’t complaining on this site?

You realise that buying a WotoG pack gives you C'thun for free right? It 's not necessary to craft him afterwards, but you have him right away.
And of course I've heard of new players. Especially for them, this is the way better option than what you want. Back then it was good that you got C'thun for free just for purchasing a pack. They didn't change a thing when it went to wild, and it still is good.
You want C'thun to be craftable immediately, which would require new players spending 1600 dust to get C'thun. The way it is now they only need to buy one WotoG pack to get C'thun, which costs 100 gold. So the way it is now for new players C'thun costs 100 gold, the way you want it, C'thun costs 1600 dust. And personally, if I get the choice between spending 100 gold or 1600 dust on a legendary card, I choose to spend 100 gold, and so does everyone else.
1
How is this typical Bli$$ard?
They didn't want you to open all the C'thun cards but those cards being worthless for you because you don't have C'thun. That's why they gave everyone C'thun for free. Tell me, how is that Bli$$ard? Even now C'thun has been in wild for a long time, 100 gold for a pack (in which you even get 5 new cards) is much cheaper than 1600 dust for a legendary.
Yes Blizzard is often Bli$$ard, but in this case they're clearly not, so don't go shouting Bli$$ard and everything Blizzard does without actually thinking about it.

People have been saying that for years, but Hearthstone really has never lost such a significant amount of players as you are saying they will. Hearthstone has survived Gwent, Artifact, MTGA and many more other cardgames people thought Hearthstone would lose its playerbase to, but it never did.
Besides that, this year Hearthstone is revolutionizing the most since it launched. Second half last year Battlegrounds launched, which has had many updates already, they completely changed the ranking system, they introduced a new class, reworked Priest some, there's a new gamemode launching in a few months, achievements/progress is coming during expansion cycle 3, very frequent balance changes too.
This is way more new stuff than Hearthstone has ever had before, so no, Hearthstone as a game is not dying down, but growing more rapidly than every before. Therefore they will not lose their playerbase.

Why? The whole adventure is free and optional and you don't get rewards. They are in no way obliged to give you something for playing it since you don't give them anything. I mean, they're already giving you 9 packs for free. Are you really complaining that you don't get even more
