Yes, stealth is removed when the card deals damage (hover your mouse over the word stealth for proof). That is why, for example, Flamewaker + stealth spare part does not work, the minion receives stealth, immediately deals damage and loses it
I would compare it to Deathlord: it has lesser attack and starting health, but it will never ever lose you the game outright. Just like Deathlord it will probably eat a hard removal 90% of the time, but the other 10% it will stop the opponent's aggro deck in its tracks, because he did not draw the removal in time.
Also, with all this taunt cards, I wonder if there is a Bolster-like card coming for druid
- For the same mana cost Sylvanas gives you a 5/5 body (which is better than ability to target a specific minion)
- While Embrace Darkness gives you control faster and without the need to pay the card's mana cost, Entomb removes the target immediately, without giving your opponent a chance to play around it, gives you ability to trigger battlecries and increases your deck by 1 card (the latter probably irrelevant now that Archbishop Benedictus exists). So overall, Entombis much better.
Basically what I'm saying is that this card may be experimented with in Standard for the next 2 years, but it will never see play in wild now or in the long run. Also, although dropping the price from 10 down to 6 is a big deal, the ability to Mind Control the target immediately is an even bigger deal. And we all now how much mind control is played right now.
Reminds me of Bash (one of my favorite cards from TGT, despite its simplicity), but more expensive and without overheal.
On the plus side this guy occasionally survives, there are also synergies with handbuffs and traditional buffs (as if like people play those).
There is also an obvious comparison with Truesilver Champion. With the weapon you get 2 attacks much more consistenly (harder to remove a weapon than a minion), but 1 less heal per attack (on top of face damage when killing a minion). I think I'd pick truesilver over this guy anyday.
Finally, there is Hammer of Wrath, which doesn't heal you bit let you draw a card. Card draw is better than restoring 3 health 90% of the time, yet I can remember the last time when hammer has seen constructed play (was it before Naxx?)
Started playing during closed beta, played a ton of arena and the meta was slow (compared to today's meta) with basically no rng, so naturally my first constructed deck was tempo-driven, with a lot of trading and fighting for board control. It was a warlock deck from whatever decent cards I could get, like Harvest Golem or Chillwind Yeti. Also I specifically crafted Lord Jaraxxus because it looked like an awesome card (it replaces your hero, how cool is that?). Except I was kinda bad at the game and could never create a good enough opportunity to play Jaraxxus without losing on the following turn. Still had a lot of fun.

Just need to get Doomhammer from Lotus Agents to make it good. Or the other way around, pull this from Lotus Agents in shaman.
Seriously though, so many potentially good cards suffer from this horrible 5/3 statline

Oh, and by the way, the free DK hero will be a random one that you don't already have

Same problem here, restarting the game fixed it, as usual.
Didn't they fix this bug already in one of the latest patches?

The battlecry is very strong, but that heropower reminds me of Dinomancy, which is meh

It's a cool aggro stall and I am all for it.

An excellent card!.. to be cast by Yogg-Saron.
Not so much to be received from Lyra
This is basically printed to replace Sylvannas Windrunner and Entomb is Standard.

It will lose stealth automatically after first trigger (because it deals damage)
