The card in question for the people out there who are not familiar with it yet:
I read the card as "each Whelp gets a dearthrattle from previous dead minion/s. Meaning if one one deathrattle minion had die before playing Vectus, the two whelps both get the same deathrattle. If multiple minions have died, what the Whelps get is randomized."
Honest question for those don’t like the option to buy card backs:
Is it because you feel slighted because those who buy it didn’t earn it when it was offered? Is it because it feels like a money grab by Blizzard? _____________________ (Fill in the blank)
No judgement. Genuinely curious. Thanks.
TBH, and I know this thought process is hated, but it's because those that didn't earn them when they were offered (for whatever reason) shouldn't get them. I know that sounds sh!tty, but I have every monthly card back since closed beta, although they didn't start until April 2014 I believe. Plus I have every bundle card back, hero card back, promotional card backs. Hell, I don't mess with crApple products, but I made sure to find a friend with a crApple phone/tablet, just so I could get the card back for that promotion. There were times, like when I spent 5 weeks in the hospital, that I didn't think I'd get the card back, but I logged in and won the games to make sure I never missed one. Had I known that I could've just waited and thrown money at the problem in the future, I would have played A LOT LESS Hearthstone.
I personally don't care about it. However, there are people who dislike things like this because it messes with the uniqueness feel. E.g. remember when Blizzard made Tyrande free in their new shop? A lot of people were mad because they obtained her through the previous requirements, and thought it was unfair that people got it for free.
I read a proposal that can satisfy both groups. Give the OG card backs something that makes them distinguishable from the purchased ones. It could be a different frame, a stamp or something else. In that way old players can still be proud of their card backs and newer players can enjoy a card back they like. I also like the thought of Blizzard acknowledging their long-term players.
As a player since closed Beta, and and owner of 125+ card backs, I 100% agree with this. I work to get every card back that is available to me. It would cheapen my efforts if all ya needed to do is throw gold/money at it; no work required. Make a way to show the old sckool card backs/players different from the store bought card backs, and I'll stand behind that 100%.
I've been asking this for years! But not like it is now. I mean every card in your deck gets a random card back. They would change each game so as to not to be able to identify a card by the back. What's the use of having 120+ card backs if you can't really show them off?
For most, to climb to legend you need to have an Arsenal of good cards as the meta always changes. The matchups you face because of the MMR system will lock you out. This is how Blizzard designed the game..
so you have to buy cards! Or spend an insane amount of hours grinding as F2P.
but also.. what’s the point of getting Legend anyways? Bragging rights?
“hey bro I spent $300 and got Legend”
you bro is like “$300 on a damn card game? Lol”
sticking with a budget deck and trying to grind to legend is madness.
What do you mean the MMR system will "lock you out"? What would you be locked out of? Or are you one of the people who have completely misunderstood MMR and think it means they choose what class you go against?
The META does not change as frequently as you suggest, not at all. Of it were week to week then sure, but it isn't.
The simple fact that you seek to genuinely think you need to spend £300 to hit legend suggests you're deliberately exaggerating, lying or that you actually think it does, which would make me assume that you aren't a particularly good player. I have no idea what skill level you are at, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and think that you're being disingenuous to further your point. Which, by the way, is a really poor way to bring other people round to your way of thinking.
With HS Deck Tracker, after a loss, a lil pop up window appears that lets you change a loss into a win, so yeah..... I don't just win %'s when someone post using Deck Tracker stats.
I don't give a dam if they want it to be aggressive class.
mage hp only does 1 damage and costs 2.
The thing is, Mage, with 2 mana cost hero ability, can take out a 2/1 minion with no consequences.
Demon Hunter, can also take out a 2/1 minion with it's hero ability, but it's hero ability only cost 1 mana. However, in order for DH to take out the same 2/1 minion that a Mage can take out, the DH has to attack said minion, thus taking 2 hit points to the face, to do with 1 mana, that which a Mage has to use 2 mana to do. Only Mage doesn't have to take any hero damage.

Solid post/argument. I'm sure you have done the research and have the stats to back up your statement?

Nice looking card back TBH.
I was wondering if there are any "card back" collectors out there, and is there a special forum on Hearthpwn I can view about it??

I only read non-fiction.
Currently reading "Punk Rock Dad" by Jim Lindbergh, lead singer of Pennywise.

I always pick Hunter because it's what I'm most familiar with (1st Golden portrait). Then Warlock (1st 1000 wins) if Hunter is not working out.

Yes.
Please make fix it to work again.
