This new match system is mega stupid.

In the past I dueled players with basic cards. Now ANY mage I play ...its ALWAYS the same deck. QUEST or spell only mage. ALWAYS.

1 deck concept per class. so fking stupid...really.

I play rogue...stealth aggro or quest.

all priests are galakrond. or quest

all druids are GUARDIAN. with dragons or not

all paladins are murloc or libriams.

    ITS A OR B.

its getting SO frustrating. is this supposed to be fun? dueling the same decks over and over?

and that RNG shit...cmon....look..heres one example. it nor amuse me because the game is so freaking rigged and unfair.

I had 12 life, was winning by board. opponent used evocation.  got 1 fireball...

then USED Ascendant Scroll AND GOT ANOTHER fireball that costed 2.

gg. you won...because the game wanted to.

the possibilities to get Exactly THAT IS bullshit. THIS IS NOT RNG...its manipulated luck.
you are telling me that FROM ALL THE SPELLS in standard...U GOT exactty what u needed for letal?

thats bs. its rng rigged. so stupid and frustrating. but what can you do? this is how the game works. lame.

so zero skill involved, just play the casino gamble game and wish for the best.

I understand your frustration, but have you ever wondered what you may have done, so that Blizzard has it out to get you.  Obviously you must have done something HUGE against Blizzard for them to write a separate/special code in the game, just to make sure your opponent gets the exact cards he/she may need to beat you.  Maybe the RNG is not the problem.  I'd try to find out what I did to piss Blizzard off if I were you.
    Just saying.

it's just a small indie company

I absolutely love when somebody post this statement.  It's just so funny, because, because, as you know, Blizzard is not a "small indie company".  But what you've done, you've gone and said that they are.  You, you little devil you, you're implying that a major AAA game developer is a "small indie company", because sometimes, sometimes they make mistakes, and you, you would expect mistakes like that from a "small indie company".  Not one with the experience and man power as Blizzard.  You're, you're trying to say that this is the best Blizzard can do, but it's really not.  Every move Blizzard makes is like they are some start up gaming company. You, you're being sarcastic in calling them a "small indie company", when in fact ,they really are not.  I see what you, and hundreds of other posters are trying to get at. I get it. Good one.  Good one indeed. You, you keep up that good work in pointing out their flaws.  I'm, I'm gonna keep my eye on you. You, You're something special.  Well done sir. Well done indeed.

    2. "I wonder if this guy paid $5 to buy a card with a cupcake". Why would you wonder if someone payed for a sleeve or got it as a gift? The method of acquiring just does strike as bad to you bc you feel that you have moral highground based on how long you played.

This is the one point I have to disagree with.  As a HS player since beta, if I see someone with a card back from say, early 2015, it lets me know that, my opponent has been playing for quite some time.  All-be-it maybe not every day/every month, but they have some experience, and it lets me know to be a little bit more on my toes.  If said card back can be required from just anyone, I feel it I may lose that ever so slight edge.
It's like playing poker in a casino.  If another player is clumsy and fiddling around with their chips and whatnot, you have a good idea that they are probably not that experienced as a player, and lets you know that they may be an easier mark.

Just my opinion, and I don't mean to be controversial, or put your thoughts/points down in anyway.

Best of luck to you in all your future HS matches.  :)

a lot of people will wear only the basic cardback to throw people off as well, especially during the start of a month.

I actually bought the cupcake, but I was playing back then, I am more of a casual player though that comes and goes from the game a lot. Thew cupcake was one of my favourites though, so jumped at the chance to have it again. I mean I understand how it must cheapen it for the people who earned it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy at the chance to get some card backs that I had missed during times I was playing other games.

    That's a good point.
Hell, even I've used the basic card back at times, for that exact reason, just to maybe throw my opponent off.  What ever edge ya can get, ya know.
I'm glad for you that you got your favorite card back, that you unfortunately missed at the time.
    :)

As an early HS player and someone that has lots n lots of card backs, I'm a fan of releasing older card backs, since it serves to make other players happy, puts cosmetics on the spotlight for a just investment, and deflates the ego of entitled old players.

I respect your opinion, and hope you understand that I don't have my opinion as an "I'm better than you" type attitude.  I just know that there are A LOT of things I missed in many games due to either not completing the requirements, or I started playing the game to late to receive said 'achievement/reward'.  I look at this as my fault, and in no way expected to get said 'achievement/reward' in the future.  That time came and past without me.  I just feel the same way about card backs.....

However, if it does make the majority of the player base happy, then I'm fine with that, since I do enjoy the game, and would like it to have as many players as possible to enjoy the game with me.  While I know this post may seem like a contradiction to its self, I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey/get at.

Best of luck to you in all your future HS matches.  :)

posted a message on Cards I would Nerf in Wild from each class and Neutral to make Wild more fun

    Legendary:

Patches the Pirate Whenever Pirates become good, this card is in EVERY DECK. Don't know how I would change it, but It seems too good still and combos really well with Ship's Cannon. Any suggestions on this one?

You think this card is bad now.  You should have seen it when it was in standard, and before it got nerfed.  It was REALLY unfun to play against pre-nerf.

I have 2 Of these shirts.  Bought one from the gear store, then when it started to "ware out", bought a second one, because the gear on the Blizzard store doesn't stay for very long.
I know this is off topic, but I bought a "Naxxramas" HS shirt.  When I went to the release party/event for DIII, and all the Blizzard DIII employees where there to sign autographs and such, multiple Blizzard peoples ask me "Where did you get that shirt"?  I told them I got it from the Blizz store, and they didn't even know it was available.  Upon hearing this, I went to buy a second one, and they were no longer offered.  That's when I learned that the product in the store rotates out quite often, since the Naxx shirt was no longer available.  And I don't think the HS Naxx adventure was even out for a year at that time.
Once again, I must state my VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION here. As a HS player since closed beta (Nov. 2013, only I got the invite in Sept, 2013. That taught me to check my email more often :P ), and someone that has 130+ card backs, I'm not a fan of releasing older card backs, since the people who get the card back now, really didn't fulfill the requirements, whatever they were, to get it in the first place.

JMO, please don't throw hate, I've gotten enough to realize my thinking is in the minority, and I understand.

So now this is a Warlock AND a Demon Hunter card!!!! So now they are forcing me to choose this card only for those 2 Hero's.

Talk about being forced to play a certain way. Com'on Blizzard. What is this madness?!?!?

posted a message on Does anyone else refuse to play Demon Hunter?

TBH I don't mind playing DH or playing against DH.  I've been playing since closed beta (Nov. 2013) and I have seen, and been a part of, some crazy/sh*t metas.  (Oh how I miss Mysterious Challenger )  :P
And when DH first came out, there was NO EXCUSE for it's extremely over powered rush decks that it was capable of!  But it seems as if it's leveled off, or the other classes have leveled up, to be on par with it and each other.  Yes, I do prefer "rush" type decks.  As a M:TG player since 1993 (yes I'm old) we used to call them "weenie" decks.  It was always my preferred style of play.  Throws your opponent off..."What's he gonna do with those stupid lil guys"?  "OH, I see....."
I do get the feeling that DH is like the "step-sibling" to the other Hero's, just because it's not one of the originals.  But I have no problem with it when all things are equal.
    Just my two cents.
    /Thumbs up

posted a message on Does anyone else want to see the return of Sir Annoy-O? (and also other hero skins)

As much as I'd like to say yes....... I am forced to say NO!!!

As a player since closed beta, I have almost every card back possible (ex, all gold card back since I don't live in China).  And I always stand against releasing older card backs.
I must then apply the same philosophy to Hero Portraits (Annoy-o is the one Hero Skin I don't have, and can't get, AND I WANT IT SO MUCH!!!).  I don't know why I missed my chance at the time it was available, but I did, and I blame myself.  It's just something that was in game at the time, and for whatever reason I didn't get it.  Getting it now would cheapen the skin for me in a way.  I'd know I didn't REALLY get the Anny-O skin the way it was intended to be collected.  Not having it is just the price I have to pay for not being active enough at the time (or whatever other reason I missed it).  Same goes for card backs.  Not getting X card back because a player didn't meet the requirements to get X card back is just something that player should have to live with.  Even if they didn't even play or hear of Hearthstone at the time the back/skin was available.

This is just my VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION, but it's just how I see rewards should be treated.  It totally sucks for people who didn't get X Hero Skin or Card Back for whatever reason, however, I wouldn't start playing a game that was released 4 years ago, and expect to get the same things as someone who as been playing since day one.
Again, just my VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION, sorry.

Who cares about card backs? Aside from my Legend card back I could care less none of them are worth any money to me

Your statement makes no sense,  What you are saying is " card backs mean nothing to me, except for the one (Legend card back) that means something to me."
Well to other players, more than one card back may mean something to them.

what i would like is a separate economy or lets say for example  gold dust to craft golden cards, I mean it's not fun to be playing for so many years and not even have a full golden deck, if golden cards can be earned on a frequent basis i wouldn't mind that too, at this moment the only thing that really differentiates a veteren from the pack is card backs.

And even the card backs are being devalued for veteran players, since they are now starting to "sale" old card backs.

Just make it a fair price point and have all the cards available for that price each expansion, how hard is that? It's utterly absurd in a world where you can pay over a hundred hard earned bucks every 4 months and still not have every card in the set.

You never really played M:TG did you???
    Talk about a money suck!!!
I played from '93-'98 & '01-'07.  Spent 10's of thousands of dollars on M:TG, a still worth every penny.
