I'm a bit disappointed. Why Shaman? Why this weapon? It doesn't fit in any current Shaman deck. So does this card alone create a new Shamn archetype? No I don't think so. I could this being awesome IF it were a neutral weapon, but alas no.
4 legendaries and all of them feel weaker than the the worst DoD legendary (maybe with the exception of Reno). This adventure is beginning to feel like DoD leftovers; like they had a lot of left over ideas and decided to make some money on cards that didn't make the final cut. Yum leftover ideas... my favorite. The rest of the cards have to blow my socks off for me to change my mind.
Edit: OK this set isn’t that bad... upon review, DoD was a crazy powerful expansion and to compare this and that isn’t all that fair. There are some really solid cards, that will see play. However I am still a bit disappointed in the legendary pool (except Reno- looks super fun).
I’ll test it in a quest Shaman, it will fit my Highlander quest Shaman and maybe it could work in quest Hunter but I agree with most; its pretty underwhelming for a legendary. It feels like w’re getting DoD leftovers or cards that didn’t make the cut.
Eh? It's playable... its a soft taunt... at 3 mama the 5 health is nice. Its all around OK. I just wish there was more mage hero power synergies that are gonna stick around past April. Though having 2 of these on board does 5 damage... but not in this meta- only Highlander Mage is really viable, but we'll see.
IMO- won't be put into decks. Ya you might grab it, occasionally, in a RNG spell discover or generate effect, but a 10 mana spell that does nothing on the turn you play it... na.
I'm just not seeing it. Yes there is an obvious fit with Dark Pharaoh Tekahn, but will that deck be any good? You have to Draw Tekahn or the deck is trash. But my biggest issue is with how slow it is. Its a value card for lackeys; which are tempo cards. Its a measly 4 mana 2/3 (weak) and to really get the value out of it you would need to play it on turn 7 or later. I'm sorry but by turn 7 I want do do more than play a 2/3 and 3 1/1s that give me small temp bumps or some random spells/dragons. I'm probably wrong but I don't think this card is that good. If it was a 3/5 maybe, but then its still slow- I just don't see it being worth the value.
What you have to realize is the reason for its insanity is you need only play one 1 mana card and this card generates 6+ cards. And you call the lackeys "measely," but they be great effects and generate great tempo gain.
This is not being overhyped imo, it's going to be very strong. It needs only a single lackey to get going and then you're just doing lots and lots of stuff while generating a ton of value.
This is almost like gadgetzan on 4 mana that generates far more tempo. The only downside is, as some have stated, is that 4 classes pretty much can't play this. The heroes better get some big love.
Edit: Also, imagine rogue going into turn 10 with this and spirit of the shark loaded. If you think that turn ain't gonna be crazy, you crazy.
The problem is you have to have a lot of mana for this card to be any good. It's just not as crazy as people make it out to be.
Exactly... this only good as a late/mid game card. In fact it is horrible in a tempo mid-range deck. And thats important b/c thats where Rogue lives. At best, in the early/mid game its a conditional 1-2 lackey generating 2/3 soft taunt? So this is a late game card, i.e. it doesn't fit in aggro decks and it is a bit tricky in any tempo or midrange deck. Yes the late game possibilities for reload are amazing but what late game card in those classes are you gonna sub out to put this in? Thats my issue. Its not anywhere near auto include for Lackey classes... its playable to bad.
Yup don't think we're gonna see hero cards for each explorer. Was a great idea... but just a fan idea. Though, I am looking forward to putting Reno Hero in my Hydra(Highlander Dragon) Mage :) I just hope we don't get fair to meh cards but rather get at least 1 more awesome legendary and/or a couple of cards that create a whole new deck archetype... but I am aware the holidays are over

Edit: So maybe this is gonna be good? It’s definitely going to be annoying... I hate lackeystone right now anyway and this is only going to put it into overdrive. Rogue is definitely gonna use this... ugh... more Rogue lackey RNG crap.
But here is my real issue now... it is pronounced Erkh (Eric) or Erkh (Erica), its starting to annoy me. I believe its the latter b/c maybe she’s wearing a dress? Regardless I am not going to enjoy what this card does to the meta. Chances this is gonna get a boring nerf.
Maybe? Decent anti aggro/non face Hunter card, if you can get it out. Maybe in an Embiggen/Strength in Numbers deck? IDK- its not blowing my socks off.
Maybe? Good anti aggro (Pirate warrior/Galakrond Zoo/etc. ) if you can get it out. It maybe fits in like an Embiggen/Strength in Numbers deck? IDK just seems alright.
I'd do both. They both CAN just win you games when you play them and both are always really fun to play. If you're gonna run Highlander decks, your gonna want to run both.
For me, I use them in every class but Druid (not a fan of Highlander Druid, though its got some support) and Warrior (though some have tried to make it work). But every-other class can support an at least T3 Highlander deck (maybe not warlock but I put them both in my heavy draw handlock deck as finishers and dragon activators). Do both if you can. But I would do Zephrys first.
With the new known passive hero power, I bet this will see play. It’s a board clear and a small armor game. This is as good/ if not better than Yogg’s puzzle box. A great last resort card and with a fun-ish twist.

Prediction: Each class will get 3 cards + 8 neutrals (2 legendary, 2 epic, 2 rare, 2 common)

I like the card, I think its effect is kinda cool. I just don't know where this would fit.

Snore... As a standard player, I'm not impressed. Ya I see the value but does it 'do' anything? Not really- not blowing my socks off here.

A very good single target removal (most of the time) for priest. But priest isn't much playable right now so this is a 2-3 star card.
