The stats are crap, but you know that your opponent will use removal to get rid of it if you can manage to buff it at all. Even with Lance Carrier. And I can see this card being in a control deck and played late game when most enemy removal is gone and top decking is basically the only thing that can save them. Just go face or use it to take out whatever they happen to throw out to the battlefield. I could totally see Priest using it like that. 2x each of Shadow Word: Pain, Shadow Word: Death, Shadow Word: Horror, Entomb, Excavated Evil, and Holy Nova, then using Shadowform for late game additional removal. Dropping things like Frost Giant, North Sea Kraken, and Ragnaros the Firelord for finishers. Also filling the deck with taunt, silence, and heals, it might actually provide enough of a barrier to getting rushed that super late game fatigue and out-valuing the enemy would be possible. All in all, great as a late game card when the game is nearing its end and most hard removal is gone.
I really think this brawl sucks. The games last forever and it's basically whoever gets the most OP cards first wins. My experience: someone gets Enhance-o Mechano and gets to play it repeatedly so you can never have a board. Or the random Sylvanas Windrunner that they can keep drawing.
And then there are some classes that don't benefit from this brawl at all. Warlock can't even use hero power because they risk: (1) not getting anything beneficial because of the chickens or +1 attack/health and (2) you get 4 cards + discovery and there's no point to drawing anything unless you're desperate for something to keep you alive.
Granted, I loved the Webspinner brawl. I know a lot of people said it sucked, but I really enjoyed it. This one though... Blizzard really needed to put less junk in the initial deck. Maybe start with 3 coins and two random class-specific spells.
Equivalent stats to a vanilla card, but gains so much more use if you have a couple of minions on the board. It works much like Defender of Argus, where you have to play it between minions to get the greatest effect. Getting a 5/7 with taunt and divine shield on the board may seem overpowered at first, but consider that it requires two other cards to be of benefit, they need to have different costs (odd and even), and you need to be able to keep those minions on the board through your opponent's turn. Otherwise, your turn consists of a 1 + 2 + 4 mana drop (7 mana) and costs you 3 cards in hand to do so. All in all, it's strong, but balanced in my opinion.
There's no point if you get a pack without winning? Personally, I prefer TB to other modes as far as completing quests goes. I just finished 3 different 60g quests at once while doing it. 5 wins with Druid (x2) and win 5 Tavern Brawls. The point of playing it, for me, is that I feel I do better overall. Not that I'm crappy in normal play or anything.
Honestly, it depends on the class you want to work on next:
Archmage is a critical card for mage. Every high tier deck runs him. Thus if you want a good mage deck, he's a big one. Saraad is a great card, but specifically for Tempo decks like Tempo mage. You need Archmage first, though.
Paletress is a very useful control preist card. Not CRITICAL, but given that you don't have Ysera, you need something. Though you don't have Vo'jin either and that's a bigger priority for priest. Thus if you want to go Priest, highly consider vo'jin and think about Paletress later.
Justicar is a great card for control warrior and midrange paladin. Honestly, I'd put both into critical theses days. You don't have Grommash, though so if you want to go Control warrior, you want Grom first. For paladin, though, if you want to go midrange, Justicar is a good pick.
Jaraxxus and Mal'Ganis are critical warlock cards. I believe Jaraxxus is the first priority there as that is enough for traditional Handlock. For the more powerful Demonlock, you'll want both.
Unless you hate all of those classes, these are your priorities. After that, Consider TBK and Ragnaros (wow, Rag this far down.. how times have changed).
Juggernaut and Varian are meh tier. I have Varian. Don't get Varian :P.
I guess I don't necessarily hate any of the classes and I feel like I'm half-way to a competitive deck with any class that I play. And it would seem that the only stand-alone cards I could craft are Justicar, Ragnaros, and TBK. What decks are really considered competitive these days? I really like Priest and wish I could play handlock (don't have a lot of giants though). I like the idea of Demonlock a lot.
There are a few that I'm considering (neutrals mainly), but if anyone would be willing to give me some input, I would much appreciate it. I thinking about crafting one of the following:
Meant to be put into joust decks. Great synergy with King's Elekk. Stands alone as a strong end game card, but shines when you can play it and another card in the same turn.
Curse you guys! This game hates giving me anything good lol
I felt that way for a while. I was like, "dang, why can't this game give me anything but commons and rares?" A lot of the decks I saw were tossing in epics and legendaries like they were 10-cent candy. Admittedly, I was jealous. Eventually, I got a number of legendaries and had enough dust to craft one personally. Maybe you could bribe Blizzard? I hear it's all the rage these days. ;)
Wait, is this a pack wars thread? I'll share mine too lol
Far from it. It appear to be a thread where everyone and their mother tries to upstage my glorious RNG-based achievements. Much like you are now lol. JK, but really Golden The Beast AND Ragnaros the Firelord is pretty awesome in the same pack.
I once bought 15 TGT packs and packed three legendaries. Unfortunately (kinda), it was Confessor Paletress three times. And I Just crafted her one day before the pack opening...
How dare you upstage me!? Get out of my thread! lol
P.S. That's is pretty awesome. I got Eadric the Pure when TGT was released. His stats make it so that, drop-wise, you can't just drop him for a body. However, giving him taunt with Defender of Argus or Sunfury Protector is just magic.
Heh, now I know who's getting all my legendaries haha
No, I had my share of dumb luck with 2 golden legendaries in 4 packs once xP
LOL I don't have any golden legendaries, but I'm fine as heck with settling for the ones I just got. Just the other day, I got Sylvanas Windrunner out of an arena pack!
After 20 packs and a bunch of epics, I was like, "these epics are awesome and all, but I'd love to get at least one legendary." Ask and you shall receive... x3!
None of those Dragons are commonly used in Dragon Priest however but if you make it work, good for you ;)
And yeah, nice packs!
I'll try to make them work... somehow. It's practically what I'm addicted to in these kinds of card games is making obscure stuff actually work and blowing minds. However, I've yet to accomplish that, it seems :(
Oh, wait, Deathwing is a good card? I just disenchanted it to craft a bunch of common cards that I can't seem to get out of packs. Darn, wish I'd known sooner ;)
2 Commons 1 golden Common 1 golden Rare 1 Legendary "The Beast" (my second :-( )
Very nice. I've gotten The Beast from Webspinners before, but as far as using it went, it was just a little late and I was lacking the board control to afford giving a 3/3 if they happened to Big Game Hunter it away. Or use some kind of hard removal or damage to make the trade worth it. My first neutral Legendary was Mekgineer Thermaplugg. Class-specific, it was Neptulon.

Beneath the Grounds is pretty awesome when they're close to fatigue, since you're guaranteed to get 2-3 4/4 Nerubians.

Since when does 92 + 13 = 100?

Here is the exhaustive list of all the legendary minions (aside from those obtained from Adventure Mode).

Maybe for Lightbringer, it would be better to phrase the text: "This weapon's attack benefits from Spell Damage."

Three Confessor Paletress in a row? Dang. I also have Aviana, Acidmaw, and Bolf Ramshield. Actually, I got two Bolfs at one point, but I dusted it so I could craft Tirion Fordring.
I think that's the most popular baby name this year... O_o?

I love King Krush! RNG'd him from Webspinners a few times and dropping him is just beautiful.
