Evil B probably doesn't believe school shootings are real either.  Evil B, consider this.  If you were a part of the Hearthstone team, would you be Ok with rigging the game?   You probably wouldn't.  Most people are like you.  They are not going to stand for creating content designed to manipulate people.  It's disingenuous and a total waste of personal efforts.

The 50% win rate part shows that you don't understand competitive matchmaking.  That's not rigging the system, that's matching players against other players of their own skill level.  The only players who are going to end up with a rating other than roughly 50% are those at the very bottom or the very top of the competition.  You start winning games, you rank up and play better players.  Once you reach players of your own skill level you win roughly 50% of the time.  If you lose too much you get matched against worse players.  Then you win some and your win rate moves back towards 50%.

Yes quest cards are always in your starting hand.  That's by design and it's not a secret.  No they don't manipulate opening arena hands to give a certain number of rare cards.  Rare cards aren't better than common cards so that wouldn't make sense.  New players believe legendary cards are better on average, which is a fallacy.  See eviscerate, wild growth, swipe, loot hoarder, fireball, frost bolt, etc.  and compare the entire card pool of common cards to the entire card pool of legendarys including the plethora of bad ones that don't see competitive play.

It helps if you read the posts to which you reply. I stated that Blizzard has every right to rig the game and that it is in fact good business.
Another true believer triggered for no apparent reason.
This is not a personal attack. If you want to believe that your "skill" in this game is superior to others then more power to you. A prominent pro named Lifecoach quit playing because "the game no longer rewards strategy - only grinding". I completely agree with that statement. You may choose not to. That's your right.

If it is easily disprovable that pros are removed from the matchmaking system then please disprove it.

Why do all of you true believers take this as a personal attack?

It helps if you read the whole post before you get triggered. I clearly stated that I win as many games as I lose. The game is not rigged against me. It is rigged to a certain outcome (50% win rate). There is a difference. As I said I have 5 golden heroes, all the cards I want, and enough dust to make the ones I don't have. My card back is heroic Naxxramus so you can tell I have been playing a while. I know how to play. Not that any of that matters because the games are not random.

Sorry to burst your bubble. If you get this upset over Hearthstone I won't tell you what I know about Santa, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy either.

Funny, if I push to legend, I mostly end up having a >65% winrate while laddering. Also, I don't see why playing a game for a long time  should be a causality for being a good player. Golden heroes, large collection and playing since naxx, none of those points proves anything. If you really can't get a winrate above 50%, then no, you don't know how to play correctly or play only suboptimal decks.

Neither is  making legend. Play long enough and you will catch a random win streak. Sorry but it isn't your "skill".
It isn't a constant 50%. It's an overall goal. I wish the true believers here had some basic knowledge of statistics so I didn't constantly feel like I was teaching third grade.
Funny that I was that lucky the last 5 months.
BTW, implied insults don't prove your points, they simply seem childish.

Please concede my points that Blizzard does manipulate the RNG to give you a certain amount of rares or better in an arena hand, make quest cards always come out first, guarantee a rare or better in every pack, guarantee a legendary every 40 packs or so, and determine how often a card appears in arena drafts.

Then explain why they wouldn't manipulate anything else.

I did disprove it. Literally with the next sentence. I have played pros. How are they locked if I've played them? You can try to split hairs about my verbiage but when you think that your 50% winrate is due to a conspiracy instead of the decisions that you made then you're complaining its rigged against you. Your reductive bullshit about Santa, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy is just classic deflection. You can't put together a cohesive argument for your conspiracy theory so rather than defending it you're implying I'm naive for not blaming others when I lose. kk
But, like I said, no productive conversation can be had when you believe that garbage so I don't know what I was expecting.
I feel like a special ed teacher. I never said anything about anyone being "locked". I said they are removed from the matchmaking system that determines your opponent. You playing them is irrelevant.
The fact that you don't understand statistics doesn't equate to me making an argument that the game is rigged against me.
Speaking of cohesive argument, please concede my points that Blizzard does manipulate the RNG to give you a certain amount of rares or better in an arena hand, make quest cards always come out first, guarantee a rare or better in every pack, guarantee a legendary every 40 packs or so, and determine how often a card appears in arena drafts.

Do you understand that, when a game between 2 players does not end in a draw, one player wins and the other loses ? This means every game has, mathematically, a 50% winrate.
OMG, real life laws of mathematics are RIGGED !

And it is statements like this that tell me what I'm dealing with here.
Blizzard has a 50% win rate goal for each player moron.

Yes because playing more often gets you better draws. Makes  sense.

I will never convince a true believer that this isn't a skill game. They can somehow convince themselves that Blizzard will manipulate the RNG to give you a certain amount of rares or better in an arena hand, make quest cards always come out first, guarantee a rare or better in every pack, guarantee a legendary every 40 packs or so, determine how often a card appears in arena drafts, etc - but stop there. It's like they just turn of their logical thought button.

No really. This is a skill game.
By the way, I have a bridge that you may be interested in.

I'm pretty sure I said that the game is fun and entertaining. I just don't pretend that the game is something that it isn't. Blizzard has every right to manipulate the game. In fact it is good business.
I am 100% F2P. I have 5 gold heroes, pretty decent amount of cards and about 9k worth of dust. I have played the game for a while. I win just as many one sided beat downs as I lose. Neither my wins or my losses have anything to do with skill. That does not take away from the entertainment factor.

There is absolutely nothing about this game that is random. Anyone that thinks that they will manipulate some things (like the number of rare or better cards you get in a draft) but not others is in denial.

Pro streamers are permanently removed from the Blizzard matchmaking system. Ever watch Kripp draft? I would kill to play the cards that guy DOESN'T pick. This is also the reason that playing a pro streamer's 70% win rate legend level deck will not yield you the same 70% win rate. Anyone that has tried this knows it to be true.

Blizzard has a stated goal of a 50% win rate and they work hard to achieve it. It's a fun game and it is entertaining much like pro wrestling is entertaining. We know the outcomes are predetermined but it is still fun to watch.

I love the game. I enjoy playing. I have 5 golden heroes and a decent card collection. However I have been playing long enough to remember when strategy played an integral part of the game. Sadly that is no longer. Most of the time the winning player has no cards left. This is because they simply play the cards as dealt on curve, empty their hand, and top deck the game winner. There is no thought involved.

I am not complaining about losing. I win as many mindless games as I lose. I just miss strategy.

Anyone else notice how many games end in 4-7 turns? Do you realize that in order to finish that quickly someone has to draw literally perfect cards on curve? Yes it does happen but so often? Really?

If you were watching the world series of poker and every hand someone got a straight or royal flush, wouldn't you a) get bored with it b) think that perhaps the deal wasn't random?

Doesn't matter. If you play long enough you will land around a 50% win rate with just about any viable deck.
