I've been playing this game for over 1.5 years now, and i've got to say that this is actually the worst meta i've experienced yet. There is not one single mode that is enjoyable at the moment: They already ruined Arena by reducing the card pool to Standard Cards only, in Standard Ranked you only encounter the same 3 decks and in Wild Ranked you encounter the same OP decks that people use in Standard but only with the inclusion of 1 or 2 insanely strong wild cards (e.g. Reno or Lightbomb) & don't even get me started on Casual mode (both Standard Casual & Wild), which is the biggest TriHard-fest I've ever seen (99% of my Casual games I encounter Tier 1 decks like Pirate Warrior, Jade Druid or Razakus Priest, and I used to play Casual a lot because I didn't want to ruin my rank in Standard or Wild playing an experimental deck)). The only mode that arguably is enjoyable is the weekly Tavern Brawl, but the last few ones were pretty uninspiring imho and once people've discovered the deck with the highest win-rate, there's not much fun to be had anymore. So I actually think Team 5 deserve a round of applause for ruining this once great game (yes I've actually had fun playing Hearthstone in the past and am not a sour cunt) and diminishing it to a pile of shit in such a short time-span: that is an achievement in itself. Can I get a refund?

Since when did this game turn into Prieststone? I literally just encountered 6 (!!!!) Priests consecutively in Wild Ladder (rank 7). Like wtf, I don't get this shit: Isn't anyone creative enough to play an original deck of some sort?! Everyone is playing Reno/Kazakus/DK priest. Playing 6 of them after eachother is a bit too much to my liking...

I've tried building my own deck a lot of times, but it often doesn't work out for me (especially on the Ladder). Even when you try to have a "fun" casual game, you encounter Tier 1 decks often too, because players "need to complete their daily's" (-> the reply you get when you ask them why they're playing a Tier 1 deck in Casual). So I understand that people tend to play decks that are popular, because those decks have often proven themselves to be rather good and have a good curve. However, I agree that it's a shame that nearly everone feels the need to do that, and that there's no room for creativity/originality anymore in this game. Besides that, you even get BM'ed when they're "owning" you, so besides that you lose the majority of your games, you also get humiliated. And people like to win games because that makes them feel good about themselves (though there's actually (most of the time) no reason to, because you predominantly win your matches by drawing the right cards at the right time, or by going first, or because your deck counters your opponent's deck; imho there's not too much "skill" involved in this game anymore (if there ever has been any), with the exception of pro's and tournament plays). So yeah, and besides that: you will probably encounter the same problem in other ccg's. But I definitely agree with you that it's a shame that it has (and ccg's in general have) to be like this.

So I saved up some quests, and I have 3 Hunter quests now, but I can't complete them anywhere because Hunter is the special needs child of Hearthstone and gets rekt in Standard, Wild and even in Casual by Tier 1 decks. I love hearthstone! :)

FFS why do people feel the need to rope? I haven't ever played them before (or I have but I'm not such a lowlife that I can remember playing against them), so there shouldn't be any beef between us, but you still decide to rope me on turn 1, 2 and 3 until you finally get a good turn, ffs why? Why are you wasting your own time and the other player's time? Usually when my opponent ropes, I always think that they have left (yeay, free win!) so I start to play faster and push end turn. But it happens way too often that opponents rope you intentionally. Seriously Blizzard, this problem needs to be addressed! When you have used all of your mana during a turn, or if it's turn 1 or 2, you don't need the full 75 seconds!! Please address this problem, because there's so much intentional roping and time-wasting going on, that a lot of valuable time of players is just wasted because of salty or lowlife players who just want to ruin the game experience for the other person. There's nothing "fun" or "interactive" about staring at the screen for 75 seconds until your opponent decides to push end turn.

I didn't play much of Standard Ladder in August, but I wanted to see if it's any good, and I figured I might actually play some casual "fun" games at rank 20 til 15. Boy was I wrong! At fucking rank 19 I'm encountering Tier fucking 1 decks, like WTF! I just don't get it, ok I understand that it's only the 4th of this month, but still, how the fuck are these players still only rank 19 after 4 days with these fucking decks?! There's literally nowhere "safe" to play a "fun" and "casual" game in this fucking game, now is there? Casual is fucking cancer too (filled with Pirate Warriors and Beast Druids), and I always thought that Wild was even worse than Standard, but boy was I wrong! Such a "fun" and "interactive" game encountering 3 Tier 1 Druid decks after one another! I love Hearthstone :)

Edit: I've literally encountered 7 Druids in a row now (with 1 Pirate warrior and 1 Face Huntard in between) at rank 20! LuL Nice meta Blizzard!

Like seriously, whoever "invented" the Mill rogue archetype should die a slow and painful death. I think that this (together with Jade Druid ATM) is one of the least "fun" and "interactive" decks to play against, because if you're playing with a tempo or control deck, and they get to "turn the game around" there's literally no way for you to get back in the game (except if you're really, really lucky but that doesn't happen a lot). It isn't even that its win-rate is (too) high, but seeing your cards getting burned turn after turn, and seeing them healing themselves for 16 hp a turn (without burst in your hand/deck), and to top it of: play their shadowstep on their N'zoth that they've just played, just gives you pure cancer. I can't imagine what a horrible person you must be to play such a cancerous deck, but if you do: you deserve to die a slow and gruesome death too imho. Go fuck yourself (and please do all "normal" players a favour and leave Hearthstone to never return again). What an incredible lowlife you must be to play such a time-wasting deck. It's fine if you want to waste your own time, but please keep in mind that other people have a life (contrary to you), so not everybody is interested in playing a game that lasts 40 minutes to an hour.

Pyros is difficult to replace imo because it provides so much value (a 2-drop to contest the board early, a 6-drop later on and a 10-drop that you could use later on or in Control match-ups) and the same goes a bit for Inkmaster because she could really provide a big tempo swing (e.g. if you play Kazakus for a 10 mana cost Potion and then play her on turn 7 with that potion, but even later in the game she's also pretty good), so it's actually pretty difficult to replace those two :P Maybe a decent replacement for Pyros is doomsayer because that could contest the board early on against aggro match-ups, and a decent replacement for Inkmaster could be a Dr. Boom because they fill their mana slots well (the deck doesn't have any 7-drops, and Dr. Boom also traditionally provides a lot of tempo swing). I hoped I helped you out and GL;HF with this deck :)

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!

Just played a control game with 35 Legendary Priest deck (with DK Anduin) (and I know it's a meme deck) against a Reno Kazakus DK Jaina Mage. My opponent got a Dreadsteed from his Kazakus potion that eventually won him the game (every turn a 3/6 with Freeze effect and Lifesteal is just GG; no way to counter that). I know that my deck wasn't that good because I was just trying something out and I know it's a meme deck, but why does RNG shit on nearly everybody all the time? What are the odds of getting a Dreadsteed from a Kazakus Potion (granted it was 10-cost potion so he got 3 Demons, but still). It's like a 1 in 10 chance or even lower to get a Dreadsteed from that potion, but my opponent gets it, and it's not just this single case, but RNG shits on me all the freakin' time. All the time when my opponent has a slight chance of turning the game around, he gets it. Shit is just not funny anymore and I personally think that RNG is ruining the game. Queue the haters that will say to go play Chess instead if you don't like RNG, but the RNG in this game is freakin' ridiculous. I don't mind a bit of RNG, but this shit is just insane nowadays. People playing like donkeys can still easily win games because of RNG, and I personally think that this game shouldn't be like this. If Blizzard wants people to view this game as a competitive and wants the HS Pro Scene to be held in higher regard, it should seriously tackle the problem of RNG. IMO it's nearly a coin flip or a dice toss nowadays, and everyone can toss a dice because there's no skill required for it.

P.S. The game went on till the my last card (Deathwing), and he had no possible way to counter my play (he only had a Reno and a Inkmaster Solia), and was taking fatigue damage fast (5 damage already), whereas I had a Deathwing and Anduin DK Hero Power (2 damage every turn). The only way for him to counter my Deathwing, was by using his DK Hero Power on his Dreadsteed to summon a 3/6 Water Elemental, so he could freeze my Deathwing the next turn with that Elemental. It was literally only Dreadsteed that enabled him to win that game. And that's why I think RNG is a big problem, because my opponent only won because he rolled a dice (Kazakus Potion) and got a 1-in-10 out. And of course you can say: shit happens (it's only a statistical probability), but I counter that by saying: Shit like that happens WAY too often in Hearthstone. I think that nearly everyone in this thread has the same experience with this game, and maybe this happens because Blizzard has 'rigged' the RNG, because they believe that the game is 'more fun' when an outcome occurs that is not very likely (to highly unlikely) to occur. I personally don't think it's 'more fun' when shit like that happens, because most players that like to play competitively don't want to depend on RNG, and draft their decks to be less RNG-dependent. So when I play against the umpteenth person that is playing a RNG-dependent deck (with Kazakus, Stonehill Defender, 'Thief Rogue', and the list goes on and on and on), and I see that the RNG is going in their favour for the umpteenth time, it's very triggering. IMO there's no skill required to play those type of decks, because you're highly to solely dependent on RNG, and you have no influence over the outcome of the RNG. The game just says: "Take this Tirion/Sunkeeper Tarim", "Take this Kazakus Potion with the 2 exact effects you needed to stay in the game and turn it around", and worst of all: "Take these random stolen cards from your opponent's class, and discount them so that you can later flood the board and overwhelm your opponent". I may sound triggered, and quite possibly I am, but this is a problem that has occurred in Hearthstone for far too long and Blizzard should really do something about it, or I quite possibly may quit this game altogether in the not so distant future. And I think that I'm not the only one contemplating this thought. I think Blizzard needs to listen to the community for once, or else they might lose a lot of players who have invested a lot of time and money into this game, and that would be a shame because quite frankly, Hearthstone (together with Overwatch (which I don't play btw)), is quite possibly one of the last games of Blizzard that people play nowadays, and were willing to pay for. WoW/SC2/Diablo 2 outdated, HotS/Overwatch/Hearthstone overrated, long have we waited, now we Jebaited.

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!

Just played a game with Pirate warrior for an EZ win after I was triggered for losing to some wicked lucky Mage with my Hybrid Druid-deck (Big&Wide, 2 Ice Blocks first 12 cards from his deck into Alexstrasza, primordial glyph into volcanic potion to counter my living mana with no removal in hand, fireball x2 + firelands portal x2 first 14 to 16 cards...).

So for the first time in like whatever, I actually get a good card draw (1 mana 1/1 with weapon, no patches in hand and next turn 2 2/1-chargers against Reno priest that goes second. So I drop my 1/1 with weapon and attack his face. He counters it with a potion of madness. I drop my 2 chargers, and think to myself: he'll probably won't have another potion of madness to counter this, and can follow it up with a Southsea captain the next turn to prevent another PoM. He drops a wild pyromancer and coins his Crystalline Oracle. I think: Ok, this is unusual, but whatever. I drop my frothing Berserker and kill his WP. He drops his Deathlord. I draw my Heroic Strike to kill his Deathlord together with my frothing, and I get a Southsea captain from my deck. I think to myself: good, he must have no way to counter this yet since he played his coin already on turn, so he can't holy Nova yet. He then plays his Shadow Word Madness. I'm starting to get triggered now, and think to myself: what type of deck is this guy playing? The next turn I play my 4/3-charger, and my 1/3-murloc. He then plays his Bran + power word shield, so I kill it with my arcanite reaper the next turn (with the 1/3) and go face again. I'm like: ok, how does he remove this 4/3? He plays his holy Nova and trades with his 1/1. I then play my 2/3 that gets buffed by my weapon, and my 2nd Southsea Captain. I'm like: Ok, I finally have the board now, and I can do significant damage next turn. He then plays his dragonfire potion. WTF is this RNG?!! He's literally playing a Reno deck, and the odds of drawing those exact cards, in exactly the right order, should be very slim. But no, this is Hearthstone, and RNG shits on me every time. Oh, the next turn he plays his Harrison Jones to destroy my AR. Maybe it's time we stand up against all this bullshit and just boycott this game, cause I'm getting sick & tired of all this bullshit ass RNG. And what's the point of playing, if nearly every game is decided by a coin flip? You might just flip a coin IRL then, and save yourself the time that you're wasting on this BS game. Why do they even have an E-sports scene? It's a f'kin joke. Look at the tourney's they're playing now: Spring Championship and Global Games. Nearly every game (probably 80% or higher) is decided by RNG. What's the point in playing this game competitively then?! If you have no significant influence on the outcome of the matches that you're playing, then why play it at all?

I'm playing Kazakus priest with 1 copy of Dragonfire Potion in my deck and 2 copies of shadow visions (my only duplicate card in the deck because I have a Holy Nova and a Dragonfire Potion). My first 2 games I draw my Dragonfire Potion before I draw my Shadow visions, so I can only get a Holy Nova from them (and I lose because I'm getting outvalued by insanely greedy decks). I'm first in my third game and I have 2 Shadow Visions in my starting hand, so I keep them both to get a Dragonfire Potion from them (and a 2-drop). Can you guess which card I first draw on turn 2, after my Mulligan? That's right: My fucking only copy of Dragonfire Potion. Nice RNG Blizzard! P.S. He later played his Thoughtsteal when I had 15 cards left in my deck, and can you guess which card he got from my deck? That's right: my fucking Kazakus! 2 out of 15, what are the odds? Oh, and he later got a Jaraxxus from his Kazakus Potion and a Krul the Unshackled (and an Unlicensed Apothecary), whereas I got a Lakkari Felhound and a Prince Malchezaar (and some shit demon I don't even remember). Nice RNG Blizzard! Keep it up, you're doing a great job ruining people's games!

This game is turning into a bigger joke with each game I play. My last 4 games of ranked play (rank 10 btw):

Game 1) I play with my "Exodia Mage"-deck against an Elemental-Shaman. I get 4 Ice Blocks, but I can't complete my wombo-combo because 2 of my 5 combo-cards are in the last 4 cards of my deck (1 Sorcerer's Apprentice and 1 Molten Reflection). I guess I was just unlucky..

Game 2) I play with my "Hemet Combo Hunter"-deck (I know it's a shit meme-deck, but still), and I play against a Rogue that goes second. On turn 1 he plays his Backstab on one of my minions + Coin + Counterfeit Coin into Edwin van Cleef (8/8). GG, and I guess my opponent got a bit lucky..

Game 3) Still playing with my HCH-deck and I play against a druid. I was hoping it was a Quest-Druid-deck so I'd have a chance, but it was an aggro druid. He goes first and plays his Enchanted Raven. I play my Fiery Bat. He uses his hero power to kill it on turn 2, and the 1-damage from the deathrattle goes to his face and not his minion. On my second turn, I play my second Fiery Bat and my Alleycat. He uses his hero power on my Fiery Bat on turn 3, and again the 1-damage from its deathrattle goes to his face (and again not his minion). He then uses his Innervate to play his Vicious Fledgling, and I can't do anything to remove that, so I play my Scavenging Hyena and trade in my Alleycat into his Enchanted Raven. He then plays his Bloodsail Corsair on turn 4 to trade his Patches into my Jeweled Macaw that I played the previous turn, and he uses his second Innervate to play his Bittertide Hydra. The next turn, I can only trade my Scavenging Hyena into his Vicious Fledgling to prevent him from gaining Windfury when it'll probably attack my face, and nothing much else. He goes face, and the next turn I can't play anything to prevent him from hitting lethal the next turn, so I concede. Guess I just got unlucky with him getting 2 Innervate's in his first 6/7 cards, and that my Fiery Bat's deathrattles both hit his face..

Game 4) I'm still playing with my HCH-deck, and this time I face a Taunt-Warrior. This game went on a little longer than the previous one, but long story short: On turn 7, 8 or 9 (don't remember exactly), I had completed my quest and my opponent still needed to play 2 more taunt-minions to complete his quest, and I had played my Queen Carnassa. My board is pretty wide, so I figured he'd probably play one of his Brawl's that turn. I have 2 cards in hand (an Alleycat or a Jeweled Macaw, and an Tundra Rhino). He plays his Dirty Rat, and gets my (second) Tundra Rhino to the board, and then plays his Brawl. Out of all 7 minions on board, his sole minion (his Dirty Rat) survives. I guess I again got unlucky..

This shit is just not funny anymore, if you get so unlucky all the time or if your opponent get so incredibly lucky all the time. Of course it's cool that there's a bigger diversity in Ranked-decks in this meta than the previous one because more decks are viable on the Ladder right now, but it's such a shame that most decks are so heavily dependent on RNG (e.g. drawing exactly the right cards at the right time like my Rogue and Druid opponents did above, or getting really lucky with Brawl). In my opinion, RNG is bad for the game, because it takes away a lot of skill. I'd much rather play a game that requires (a bit) more skill, than play this currently RNG-fest of a meta right now. And i've been playing Hearthstone for a while now, so I've seen some meta's that were pretty RNG-based (like the Yogg-meta after the WOTOG-expansion), but this meta is just ridiculous and especially not fun or enjoyable (in contrast with the Yogg-meta, that was also a big RNG-fest, but that was actually a lot of fun to play (although it didn't require much skill)). I would even nearly go as far to say that the previous meta of MSG (that was heavily infested with Pirate Warriors, Reno-decks and Jade Druids/Shamans (and Dragon Priests)) required much more skill, and most importantly was a lot more fun and enjoyable, than the current meta. And to think that we thought the meta of MSG couldn't get any worse..

P.S. Game 5) Exodia mage vs Aggro/Midrange-Hunter: Turn 5 I play my Frost Nova + Doomsayer on his board (3 minions), and I have a Loot Hoarder in case he tries to Deadly Shot my Doomsayer. His turn 6: Plays Deadly Shot and it hits my Doomsayer. This game's RNG shits on me so hard. Or apparently my opponent was reaaaally skilled... LUL

posted a message on The Rogue Quest, The Caverns Below, is OP. Nerf it already.

Why is everyone crying about the new rogue quest? Sure, it's a rather good card and deck archetype compared to some other new cards and archetypes, but might I remind you all that we still have to deal with Pirate Warrior being the strongest deck by far for more than 4 months already? I still don't understand why Blizzard hasn't nerfed pirate warrior yet (they are still the strongest class by a country mile since the STB-nerf) and there's nothing fun or interactive about playing with or against a pirate warrior: It's mostly hitting face for 5 turns, and by then they win the game for 75% of the time. And it's only gotten worse since Reno had been cycled out with this new expansion. So now there's another strong deck that's out for just 1 day (that most of the time doesn't even hit face till turn 5) and people are already crying for a nerf? I think it's fair to say that they need to get their priorities straight.

posted a message on 12 Win Decklists.

Just had a 12-2 run with this priest deck. At first, I thought it was decent, but I didn't actually think it was good enough to get to 12 wins. Maybe I was partly lucky queing into some of my opponents. Had some intense matches, but the ones I managed to win were a lot of fun. I lost one game to a mage who had fireball + firelands portal + polymorph for 3 consecutive turns, and my card draw was pretty bad. I then MC-Tech'ed his animated armor, where he had that + a 9/9 drakonid crusher, an 8/6 Crowd Favorite and a 3/2 faerie dragon so I got a bit unlucky. I then had to discover a flash heal with an ivory knight to give me an extra turn, but the game was already over by then (I only had a Shadow Madness in hand and was already on 15 HP). The second game I lost was also against a mage, and he had some pretty good minions and removals (Fireball + FP), whereas my card draw was again not pretty good (and I believe he hit my face well to finish the game early). One of my noteworthy wins was very funny: I saved my MC-Tech vs a Shaman that played a Kodorider on turn 6 (that I couldn't remove). I then played my Drakonid Operative and discovered a Maelstrom Portal (that I didn't actually need). The next two turns he inspired + removed my DO with a stormcrack + his last hit of his Jade Claws, and played a Sideshow Spelleater). I don't know anymore if I had my Dragon Potion or not, but I was pretty greedy and played my MC-Tech and got his Kodorider. I then inspired + I got my MC-tech back with my Youthful Brewmaster, because I knew that none of his minions couldn't die the next turn to anything on my board, and he had 2 cards the following turn (I could've also got the Kodorider back to my hand, but I considered that move too slow). The next turn he played a Jade Spirit + he healed his SS back to 4 health after killing my Kodorider with it. I then Potion of Madness'ed his Jade Spirit and wanted to trade it into one of his War Kodo's who had 2 health left after killing one of my minions, but I had to MC-Tech first (after killing his 1/1). I got a bit unlucky by getting his 3/2 Kodo from my MC-Tech, but could trade into his board and the game was pretty finished by then (especially since I played my second DO or my Scaled Nightmare after that). Pretty fun game ;) Another noteworthy game I won, was when I DO'd my opponent's (The) Mistcaller that he probably got from his Malchezaar (or drafted), and I was able to play it before he could play his own Mistcaller. I then coin'ed my second DO (with him having his Malchezaar on board), and the next turn I played my SN and my opponent conceded by then. Another fun game was when my opponent (a Mage) played his Flamewaker on turn 3 where I had played my Flame Juggler the turn before (into an empty board), and was able to buff it with my Kabal Talonpriest, and went face with my FJ. I knew he needed a spell (maybe a Fireball would've helped him out), but he played his Daring Reporter and went face with his FW. I could then potion of madness his FW (that hit his DR for one damage), and had saved my coin that I decided to play to deal one extra damage to his DR to trade it in, and to play my own Maiden of the Lake. He then played his Streetwise Investigator, but I didn't want to trade in my minions for that and had no other options, so I decided to go face and hope for the best (and I played my Argent Horserider + Pint-Sized Summoner). He then played his Sunwalker, but I could play Mass Dispel (that actually had use!) to go face again to leave him at 1 or 2 health. There was pretty much nothing that he could do at that point to get back into the game, so he conceded and that was my 12th win. All in all, pretty fun run and I would say that Priest is pretty good if you get a decent draft (and curve). I would advice to not play too aggro with it if you have good removals, and try to play the value game (it isn't that bad if you lose 10 health the first few turns, because you can get back into the game if you have the right cards). Save the coin if you can, to try and get a "swing-turn" (that is, clear your opponent's board and play a minion yourself). That's how you win if you go second (and if you go first , just try to play on curve and play the value game). I hope you liked this post, and good luck with your Arena runs!
