posted a message on Plot Twist Warlock with Dollmaster Dorian

Tried a Warlock deck myself with Dorian and Beltrung using Plot Twist and as many good dearhrattles as I could shoehorn in, but ultimately it ended up being too slow and clunky to work well. Most of the time I was beat down by aggro decks before I had a chance to accomplish much of anything, and Dorian rarely made it more than one turn on the field. It's definitely fun when it works, and can really catch an opponent off guard, but isn't gonna get many wins.

posted a message on Ok, It Is Time To Nerf Warrior And Rogue.

Maybe they should make the Rush aura from Dr. Boom one of his cycling hero powers instead of a constant effect. That way it only comes up periodically and doesn't happen the same turn as his discover ability.

posted a message on Khadgar and Kalecgos: worth crafting them?

Khadgar is definitely good if you want to run a Mage right now. The synergies with your other summoning cards are worth it. Kalecgos, on the other hand, is too slow by far to be truly useful at the moment. It's a fun card, and can be useful in certain situations, but I wouldn't craft it unless you've just got the dust to spare.

posted a message on So, How is the new expansion for you?

Already salty after this expansion, and I spent months saving up my gold and cash just so I could start it with a complete set. Now I'm seriously thinking about just uninstalling the app and selling my account. Maybe I can still get some money back out of all I've spent on this steaming pile of manure...

posted a message on Bomb warrior rise and death

So long as they have so many answers to disparate board conditions, warrior is going to be broken in this meta. Between multiple viable board clears, some available quite early, the seemingly unending ability to take out even very large minions, and the versatility and longevity offered by Dr Boom, warrior is just too good at too many things. Build a wide board against them and you get a brawl dropped on you. Throw up a big minion and here comes a shield slam. Try to out value... Yeah, good luck there. Your best bet against warrior right now is hoping they draw really badly and you can get an early win. Otherwise, you might as well just tap that concede button and wait for the next warrior to pop up.

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place! V2

Blizzard has ruined the game again. They gave Warrior way too many strong cards that synergize entirely too well while leaving them one of the few classes with a hero class card. Next time Blizzard, either print hero cards for every class or just do away with the damn things entirely. Make up your minds already. I'm tired of losing game after game because my opponent can counter any play I make with stupid, overpowered hero abilities. Dr. Boom needs to go. Hagatha needs to go. Zuljin needs to go. And o hope somebody takes down the damn HSreplay. I'm tired of seeing the same damn deck again and again and again. [/salt]

Why not run Sea Giant instead of Mountain Giant since the idea is to flood the board anyway?

posted a message on Do ranks mean anything to you??

I'm a newer player, so I just shoot for rank 15 each month. I'm pretty content with that, but have managed to hit rank 12 a couple times and that is more than enough for me. I just like trying to get some more cards/dust or I wouldn't care about ladder at all.

posted a message on Crap Legendaries: One of Hearthstone's Big Problems

I find myself disagreeing that all the cards you list are worthless as legendaries. While they may not see a lot of play in the current meta, they one and all have effects which can make them quite influential given the right deck. That influence may or may not be beneficial if you're simply looking to ladder, but may yet bear fruit with newer cards or in unusual circumstances. You specifically mention Hex Lord Malacrass. I have used him quite a lot in a Big Spell Mage deck, and the extra copies of cards he provides has pulled a win out for me on many occasions where I would otherwise have been destroyed. Most opponents just don't expect a third Polymorph or a second Zilliax magnefied to the first. Two Lich Kings... Oh yes. The same thing goes for Archmage Arugal. Put him in an Elemental Mage deck and combo with Book of Specters and you can fill your hand with extra copies of powerful synergistic minions. I have a friend who successfully made use of The Darkness in a Shark Rogue deck... The Storm Bringer is extremely effective many times in an Even Token Shaman setup... Halazzi, the Lynx is played in many Mid-range Hunter lists... Warmaster Voone is standard in many Dragon Control Warrior decks... While many of them may not be Tier 1 decks, they still have their place in the meta, and they still have powerful effects. That's why they're legendaries. Not just because they are all the best cards, but because of their power. Hopefully your next legendary will be more to your liking, but I for one still want these unique and powerful cards in my collection.

posted a message on The eternal matchmaking conspiracy

Always wondered a bit myself if they weren't doing a little behavioral work with the matchmaking based on how many packs you bought with real money. Most likely I'm just like the OP and seeing things that aren't even there, but it does seem at times that the longer I go without buying packs with real money, the more I encounter unfavorable matchups. The paranoia is real... Lol

posted a message on Your Resources For The New Expansion?

2500 gold and counting and about 2k dust. Just completed all the Year of the Raven sets, and have been saving everything else for the coming expansion. I'll probably buy the preorder bundle too. Blizzard's already got enough of my money a little more won't kill me. Lol

posted a message on Do people hate Wild?? Why??

I don't care as much about wild because I'm a newer player, and simply don't have many wild cards. If all the cards I have are from the standard pool, playing in wild puts me at a severe disadvantage. That said, if I can manage to fill out my collection in standard, I may well look to add more wild cards so that I could play in that mode as well.

posted a message on Fun decks?

Love playing the Thief Rogue myself. Winrate tends to suck, but yeah, there's nothing quite like dropping a Pyroblast for one Mana that also buffs your weapon durability and then healing yourself with said weapon. Its pretty slow, and very RNG dependent, but it's a blast at the same time.

posted a message on Brawl Block: Old and New - Tavern Brawl #187

My biggest issue with this brawl is it kind of leaves newer players and players who don't play wild out in the cold. I've been playing just a few months, and frankly, I don't have hardly any wild cards. Did go and buy the new wild pack collection they were offering, so I had a few to play, but it does still suck not having the collection to draw from. I would have much rather seen something where they offered a present collection of cards to choose from so it doesn't punish people without wild cards as badly. I luckily did finally manage to win with a thief rogue after several run-ins with hyper aggressive mech decks, but it didn't feel that fun to me.

posted a message on Casual Ettiquette

I frequently test out new decks in casual just so I know how they perform and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Doesn't matter if it's a tier 1 netdeck or just some homebrew meme deck, I see casual as a place where you can try new things without your rank on the ladder suffering. So yeah, feel free to play whatever deck you like. Some people just get a bit salty when they lose.
