posted a message on Legendary with Charge that ignores Taunt?

Well, was just reading some articles on the upcoming rotation, and one thing happened to catch my eye and I haven't seen it anywhere else. In a discussion on the cards that are being HOF'd, specifically the section on Leroy, the author mentions a new Demon Hunter Legendary minion that will have Charge and can ignore Taunt minions. Not sure about anything else beyond this, but it is an extremely interesting development. What does everyone else think?

posted a message on Counter hell rank 1-5?

Wish I had this experience more often, but most of the time when I'm playing some little meme deck just trying to complete a quest all I end up queuing against are tier 1 and 2 meta deck with opponents who are apparently just farming gold in casual. Most of the time they absolutely destroy me before I make much progress on my quest while sitting there bm'ing the whole time like they're actually doing something.

There was one time though... Play so many spells quest, put together a Mage deck with Luna and Sorcerers Apprentice and almost nothing else but 1-mana spells. And the New Mage Quest on top. Managed to cycle through almost my whole deck in one turn and this Tier 1 meta deck opponent just quit. Was funny as hell, because I was gonna concede after I got all my spells off. Lol

posted a message on Battlegrounds is a stupid waste of energy.

Kind of agree in that I don't personally care for Battlegrounds and would love to see the resources used working on Battlegrounds instead directed towards improving Hearthstone itself... But at the same time I realize that Battlegrounds is enjoyed by a large number of people, and it offers a way to play without investing a lot of time and money into a collection only to have your cards rotate out and force you to get new ones. Battlegrounds isn't my cup of tea, but it does provide a lot of enjoyment for many others, and that alone is good enough to keep it around.

posted a message on Priest crushes Embiggen Druid!!

Literally posted Quest Priest's strength against Embiggen Druid 5 days ago now when someone was gushing about Embiggen Druid being crazy powerful. This isn't news. If you only follow win percentages on HSReplay, you're missing more than half the picture.

Update: just checked and of course OP here was also OP on the other thread I referenced. Apparently they're just trolling or ignorant.

posted a message on Does anyone know if pack rules apply to Dragon Packs?

Read somewhere else that, yes, it is considered a new pack for the Legendary drop rules and you are guaranteed a legendary in the first 10 packs. If I can find the reference again, I'll update this post with a link.

    Here's where I read it:

posted a message on Why no one asking for Druid nerfs?

Druid is easy with enough removal or a fast deck. Play Quest Resurrect Priest. Embiggen Druid can rarely throw down more than one minion a turn. Or if you prefer a faster deck, you can conceivably take out Embiggen Druid with Face Hunter or any other high aggro deck. Especially if they have a poor draw. Embiggen Druid is highly draw dependent.

posted a message on Druid = New King of Meta!!

Been playing Embiggen Druid for a bit now, and it's fairly strong. Haven't added the new Galakrond's Awakening cards to the deck. Biggest issue is when you burn through half your deck without finding a single Embiggen. Without that card, the deck is ok, but not especially powerful in the current meta. Even with Embiggen, it's still very susceptible to a strong control deck. I absolutely smashed an Embiggen Druid just a little while ago with my Quest Priest. They rely so much on huge minions sticking on the board that when you have enough removal they really have nothing left. That, and if you can rush them down fast enough, like Face Hunter, you can still easily pull out a win. It's a strong archetype, and interesting to play, but I definitely wouldn't call it top of the Meta.

posted a message on How do I come back to standard without dropping $$$

Honestly, just starting back, it's probably easiest to just craft Whizbang the Wonderful and play around with some of the random prebuilt decks for a while to see what you like, what you don't like, and what's powerful. That'll give the meta a week or two to shake out as well and provide you with a little more gold to craft anything else you may want to try.

posted a message on How many turns??

Had a game where I got steamrolled early, down to 15 health on about turn 5 or 6, and my opponent (a Hunter) had 13 worth of attack on the board and I had no response available. It was a clear case of lethal, but didn't count toward my played total for my quest. They could easily add a check if your opponent has clear lethal on board. It would be nice anyway... Oh well, just played an extra game and finished the quest.

posted a message on Are you going to pre-order DoD?

I've already purchased both preorder bundles. That and the 8-9k gold I've saved up should net me every card in the expansion. I've been building my collection hard since I started Hearthstone just after the Boomsday expansion, and I now have a complete collection of all the standard set. I enjoy being able to play any deck or archetype possible, even the memes.

While I completely understand and empathize with the people choosing to not spend money on this game due to Blizzard's actions in the whole Blitzchung affair and the frequent balance and bug issues, I will not be joining them. Blitzchung knew what he was doing going in. He knew he would be punished. Blizzard definitely went over the top with that punishment, but it doesn't change the fact that he broke the rules. I hate what they did and the reasons they did it, but management decisions are not necessarily employee decisions. There are a lot of people working at Blizzard who had no input on this matter and many who, like us, despise how it was handled. Management will never take the fall for what happened. If Hearthstone were to collapse, the people most affected would be the people who had the least say in the whole debacle. Vote with your wallets if that makes you feel better, but honestly, it won't make a lick of difference to people who are so self assured in their own superiority that they really don't care what we think. Besides which, rage inducing as it may be at times, I really do enjoy playing Hearthstone, and I wish to see where it goes. My poor phone has survived so far, let's see how long it lasts.

posted a message on Beating N'zoth

Been running a Control Shaman for quite a while with mixed results. Was doing really great until they brought back all these old cards, but still have a decent win rate against these infinite decks. I run both Hagatha's, two Plague of Murlocs, two Hexes, one Hecklebot, and of course, Shudderwock. Always wonderful to pull N'Zoth with Hecklebot and then drop a Hex on it. Lol

posted a message on Hearthstone Patch 15.6 - Battlegrounds Early Access and Patchnotes

Anyone else having issues squelching your opponent on Android since the patch? I've been squelching right at the start of matches for a long time now because I just got tired of emote spamming, but went to do so during my last game and even though the bubble would pop up, it wouldn't actually activate. Maybe it's just me. Might have to reinstall, but hopefully it'll start working right again. Bad enough people have to be idiots, at least let me mute them. Lol.

posted a message on Friend request just to troll

Had too many experiences myself where people want to send a friend request after a match (win or lose) only to berate and harass me. I've taken to just waiting at least 15 minutes to an hour to accept any such request so that the person has time to cool down, and probably even forget what they may have been upset about. There are now many people on my friend list that I've never even spoken to because most of them just seem to forget I'm there later. I won't worry about removing them unless they make themselves a problem, and I hope maybe some of them may even turn out to be decent people to play with.

posted a message on Has Doom in the Tomb ruined the meta?

They should have left well enough alone. Actually had a pretty decent meta for a change, and then they go and drop a bunch of overpowered cards from wild into the mix and make a huge mess. Absolute garbage imho.

Not a VPN issue. I've had issues with freezes on wifi at multiple locations and with cellular, no VPN involved. Haven't heard of anyone else using a VPN either.
