I believe he would either summon a board of minions like Onyxia or Hogger, AND incorporate some sort of buffs, since it was heavily implied they're more of a gang who overwhelm by numbers.

It'd be surprising if he ends up with an inspire effect.

Maybe the mana cost should go up, it is just like polymorph...

I hate that card as well, because it fits well into decks and just like Entomb and Polymorph it removes minions without any DR effect that can destroy your whole gameplan. Here i'm happy to play wild with DR7, because the bots will still be there and not 100% destroy your tempo, like a hexed new deathwing or Tirion

Are you people thinking about this carefully? Everyone keeps asking to nerf removals because it feels bad. Might as well remove every removal in the game. Every removal comes with a special ability with the class in mind.
Warrior's Shield Slam and Execute comes with a condition (and thank god it's been nerfed a little too avoid the condition from being met too easily), but they mostly remove stuff by face-tanking enemy minions.
Priest's Entomb does come with a deficit. It's costly, it inflates your deck and you'd still be playing from behind since the class is purely reactive and permission based. On the other hand, it helps priests deal with minions they usually won't be able to handle and is one of the few unconditional cards in their roster.
Initially, Hex was a balanced card because Shamans needed cheap removals to offset their overload and it prevented Shamans from abusing the reincarnation class trait by destroying their own minions using the card. Of course, Shamans no longer has that issue but I hesitate to argue that it needs nerfing. After all, I believe the card is fine, and I don't think the transformation effect should be removed just because some people can't play around it with C'thun. At most, it could potentially be nerfed to four mana without any adverse effect.
As with Polymorph, Entomb and Hex, these cards are made for classes who has trouble coming back from a heavy board or play until they reach a certain amount of mana or draws a certain type of removal. It would be unfair to remove their transformative or psuedo-silence effects just because there's an outcry for it.

posted a message on Priest needs help, but not that much

Priests actually do have really good value-based cards. The problem they have is their cards aren't pro-active, but rather very reactive. If Priests get good pro-active early game they're just gonna keep winning later on due to the nature of their cards. This is why they're difficult to balance and why the entire class in some ways limits design options. Combo decks destroys them because they have no effective, proactive win-condition, unlike Warrior, so they just wait to be killed.

If Blizzard can pull off giving priests proactive cards without breaking the entire game, then Priests will definitely be in a better position than they are now. I do hope for more shadow-based cards, and at least more class-based cards that isn't ultra-reactive and situational.

The hate is there because this isn't an expansion, this is an adventure. The small pool of cards around should mean they could strive to make them meta-defining than having them as filler. A 2-mana 3/2 with taunt i only really great in arena.

Mages rarely ever do anything on turn 1 except skipping the turn or playing Mana Wyrm. This card is great value otherwise but makes you wonder why not just put in the spell you want. Either way you got an early game body with the card. It's good in my book.

    Quote from Legend_Entomber >>

Well, hopefully the day that Blizzard decides to spoil the Priest class with good cards and early game minions is not too far away. Usually Priest gets good cards from Adventure cards set.

    - Naxxramas = Dark Cultist

    - BRM = Twilight Welp

    - LoE = Entomb, Museum Curator, Excavated Evil

The Priest class tethers between being completely over-powered or completely inconsistent. I feel the class is like that by design hence Blizzard's hesitance on giving Priest any good early game to just continue winning  their way throughout the game. The class is more about prediction and risk after all. Also their stealing mechanic is fun only if you're the person doing the stealing. To everyone else it feels like they lost and game ten times over.

posted a message on Weakest Class Post Rotation?

I'm surprised Priest got voted on so much. I agree having to go back to the inconsistent Auchenai+Circle combo is a pain in the arse and definitely heavily nerfed Priest, but I vote Druid for the worst class in Standard with Priest a close second. C'thun Priest is actually playable compared to C'thun Druid, which is highly inconsistent. Deathrattle Priest is a decent pick on ladder with either Volazj or N'zoth (never do both).

On the other hand Ramp/ Midrange Druid is pretty viable in the current meta. It's the class I'm using to climb right now. It took me an entire week to create a proper deck with a decent winrate for Druid

Double Molten Giant + Sunfury Protector combo has often been a devastating tempo swing that pretty much ends games. Molten Giant punishes your opponent for playing efficiently with a comeback that's insanely difficult to deal with. This nerf ensures there won't be too much abuse.

It is a slow card, but generally it's kinda like an investment. If you're losing, it's definitely not gonna pull you out of it, but if you have the board properly maintained, it's gonna be great. It's a setup card, and it fits a few decks plus a few classes more than others.

The cost is fine. Embrace the Shadow already is a 2 mana, 2 cards board removal if combo'd with Circle of Healing, and that's ridiculous! I trust Blizzard's decision to have it at this cost.
