melheor posted a message on End of Season Hearthstone Decks For That Final Ladder Climb (Standard + Wild)Posted in: NewsThose shenanigans have been around forever, but they typically don't fly in a tier 1 deck. And if you really want to be fair, it's expected that new decks will leverage core strengths of the class, that doesn't mean they're the same stale old decks.
Odd and even paladins are new takes on dude paladin, which has been around for ages. Burgle rogue has been around forever as well, just not as viable. Rogue has been using Prep/Shawdowstep/Coin combos for ages as well. Most druid decks revolve around ramping and card-draw since beta. Most hunter decks run DK + spellstones, most Warlock decks run a heal package (usually spellstones or DK). I don't think it's fair to dismiss the deck as same old because of a 3-card combo it shares with older variants.
Moreover, unlike older Inner Fire decks, Wall Priest is not a one-trick pony. It wins agro matchups without using the combo at all, simply by wearing them down with taunts and removal. For combo/mecha'thun decks, the plan is often just to dilute the deck with Psychic Scream. For control, it uses its Inner Fire combo. That's what makes the deck frustrating to play against, it's a swiss-army knife combining strengths of resurrect priest, taunts, removal and inner fire. It's not just another inner fire deck.

AceGene posted a message on Hearthstone Specialist - The New Competitive Format for 2019Posted in: NewsI see this as problematic but would like to make it clear why
1. This will likely be even less like ladder than tournaments already were, so players won't be able to relate
2. Even if there is more skill, which will take some time to determine, there is going to be the same matchup slightly modified three times in a row, where before you got many different matchups entirely. This will be boring.
3. Many classes are not flexible enough to be ran alone. At least before fringe decks that couldnt see play on ladder because they weren't general enough had a chance, due to bans and balance with your other decks
4. Matches will feel more coinflip-ish than they used to feel. A player matching against a class that counters theirs will basically just lose, watching the series will feel boring.
Sure there will be good series, but that would be the case with any matchup, I dont see enough good for this type of thinking -

Terren posted a message on Dean Ayala Asks: What Would Get You Back Into Hearthstone?Posted in: NewsI am still a pretty active player, but if I were to go it would be due to the cost of the game to stay competitive. It is so disheartening to spend the money I do on each expansion and all the gold I've stored up over the past few months only to get about half the legendaries of a new expansion. Yes I regularly reach rank 5+ to obtain the biggest dust reward each month. Yes I regularly clear my daily quests (and mulligan for better ones). If I am doing all of these things and still spend a good chunk of money, it should be easy for me to obtain all the cards I want from an expansion. I would love to see the dust cost of legendaries to be altered. Either make it 1000-1200 dust to craft a legendary or give us 800 when we dust one. 1600 to craft and 400 when dusted is BRUTAL.
A dream feature regarding legendaries would be to allow us to dust them for a full refund if we crafted it within the last 24 hours. I can't tell you how many times I was so sure a particular legendary card was going to be awesome because of an idea I had. I'm often left with a 1600 dust deficit, an idea that didn't pan out and a card that I never use hoping desperately that it will be of some use in the future.
Let's face it, the developers cannot be perfect with their ideas of an expansion and I don't expect them to be. I definitely believe they're doing their best. I just ask that they let us make mistakes too and not punish the people who are signing their paychecks.

Aldor Peacekeeper, my cabal needs you!

Good idea Fuzzy, I don't why it was downvoted. Then it would attack face every turn, but not first one. Now it's similar to Maexxna, but better against priest, and weaker vs Big Game Hunter

Warsong Commander combo?

Grim Patron is happy to see it.
2
Scarlet Crusader?

Good card. when it trades with 3/2 on turn 3, it works like 2/4 charge minion. and has really good synergy with Flametongue Totem, Rockbiter Weapon, Blessing of Might, Cold Blood, or Tinker's Sharpsword Oil which makes it good for shaman, rogue or face paladin.

That card fits very well to weackest deck I can imagine.

Spellslinger nerfed just after relise.

Another interesting minion. And it costs 2, so we will see it in play. At least from shredder deathrattle.

Maybe with "Inspire: silence this minion" would be playable.
