Thanatos2k posted a message on Mysterious VisitorPosted in: Mysterious VisitorThere have been multiple cards this expansion that have absolutely terriblely written card text.
If this is simply doing the same thing as Ethereal Peddler why is the text different? Peddler's text is far more specific.

Ophion-EU posted a message on SteamcleanerPosted in: SteamcleanerWhile I love tech cards and I think all strategies should have counters, this is a bit too heavy handed. Prestor, Quest Priest, Kazakusan, all completely invalidated by a single card. It's not fun to win or lose that way.

RendInFriend posted a message on Is the last fight before legend rigged?Posted in: General DiscussionIt’s probably rigged, but not in the way you want to hear. When I reach legend, I start playing meme decks. I don’t want to have to commit the amount of time it takes to grind and stay at top legend, so I play ridiculous homebrewed lulz decks. If I also see someone gets matched to me that is diamond 1, I will concede. Maybe not the start of the game, because I still want to play, but if I have lethal, I concede instead. That win means a lot more to them than to me.

Shipmen posted a message on Onyxia's Lair Meta PredictionsPosted in: General DiscussionMy prediction: Leave constructed as it is and not even open the expansion. Don't you guys are not bored and full of these vulgar reprints?
Don't Stand in the Fire! is more or less Volcano
Lightmaw Netherdrake is Duskbreaker
Onyxian Drake is Shield Slam on a drake
Mi'da, Pure Light is somehow Waxadred
Raid Boss Onyxia third Onyxia with similar effect, we will wait the forth Onyxia now. We already had Onyxia and Onyxia the Broodmother
Haleh, Matron Protectorate is a very costly Flamewaker
Scale of Onyxia there are a lot of similar cards, Command the Illidari for example
Lack of creativity is really a major concern. This game is really boring with these vulgar reprints.
none of these are reprints. They have different uses, have different keywords, are in different classes, or have different costs that change how they are built into archetypes. Reprints are 1:1.
Call it reprints or "revisited cards" anyway, for me it is not fun at all playing cards that more or less already existed.
Lack of innovation is huge here.

But such a bad time for it T.T

Poghy posted a message on Does anyone else think Cards have too much value?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from DjGrapejuice900 >>You said Amulet was OP... lol
even though it an end of the deck card, which isn’t always easy to get to, in one turn you may be able to trade it 4-7 times. then play it as a 3 mana, summon 40+ mana worth of minions on the same turn.
Even getting it to three minions by the mid game turn (8-10) , is a 3 mana play 15+ mana worth of minions…. Not to mention the extra 20-40 HP worth of heals and armor that might come with it…
are you saying that isn’t a lot of value for a spell people have 2-4 of during the game????
Cards have costs but its not just mana cost. There is also card cost. Usually 1 card has a 1-card-cost and hero powers have a 0-card cost. There are some exceptions, like Patches who doesnt cost mana, but he also doesnt cost a card, thats why he is so OP. Then there is something thats called opportunity cost. A proactive card with a small mana cost has very little to no opportunity cost, while a high-cost reactive card has a lot bigger opportunity cost.
If you upgrade the amulet twice it costs you 2 extra mana. Not just that, but it also costs you opportunity to spend your mana better than that. Even if its a 3-mana card, you dont play it on curve, you play it a lot later and it has little value unless you spend some mana and a ton of opportunity to make it work.
Im not saying that every card in HS is balanced because a lot of them arent. But when it comes to balanced cards like the amulet, you should weight its opportunity cost too, not just its mana cost.

Any speculation on what "other" nerfs may be reverted?

Maybe try Millhouse Manastorm once you have one HP and hope for moonfire? I'm assuming that the lethal damage can apply either to you or your opponent. You could also try casting the secret with Lorewalker Cho on board to help your opponent know. If your opponent is smart and wants the achievement, you could have "infinite" Yogg secrets (you both would need to have another spell in hand to avoid triggering Yog with Yog). I'm not sure if doing lethal damage based on your opponent's Yogg secret would count, but if it does, you could try Unseen Saboteur in combination with Lore Walker to cast your opponent's Yogg spell.

They should change the labeling of the requirement for card backs to say what was originally required to get the card but also with "or purchased for 500 coins or 3.00."

According to the hearthstone wiki page, whatever card is closer to the top of the deck triggers first. So in theory, Baku should have the same success rate as Genn.

OP in arena.

I think it's decent, but average in arena because it's too synergy-dependent to be anything more than a 2 Mana 3/2 reliably.

Seems strong in arena.

I would love to have a new game mode that incorporates at least one of the following: disabled animations, a lower turn timer, tournament mode, a mode that allows a player to limit what cards are allowed to be played (e.g. banning a class, banning certain cards/card types). the previous idea could be fun in combination with a draft mode (assuming you ban before drafting). a sandbox mode to more easily test deck ideas, perhaps with multiplayer (admittedly not as exciting as the other ideas). An arena mode where you redraft every game could also be interesting, but perhaps too time consuming to keep drafting repeatedly - maybe offset this by combining with "rapid-fire" mode (no animations, reduced turn timer) lol

Yes, an extended guide would be appreciated.
Edit: thank you for the updated guide. I've been enjoying a version of this deck in standard with desert obelisk (interacts well with lorekeeper) and Mogu cultist. I run counterspell and blizzard and a bunch of taunts to delay until late game. I didn't think to add escaped Manasaber but that's a really good idea. It seems that this deck is instant win against priests and most control decks, which is a huge plus. I started out mid bronze, but my starting record was something like 19 - 3. The only possible loss seems to be agains aggro.
